Title: Withdrawing BTC
Post by: sarannah on November 08, 2017, 12:17:46 PM
I have Bitcoins now in Poloniex and Cryptopia. I need to change a lot of Bitcoins to fiat around 24.11.

Does this cause any problems with Bitcoin or Bitcoin Gold?

Is day trading in Poloniex and Cryptopia okay now if i want to get Bitcoin Gold?

You're quite late bud. Bitcoin gold already forked. Whatever amount of bitcoin you had on the 25th of October, you would have the same amount of bitcoin gold. Whatever trading you do right now with your bitcoin(BTC), it wouldn't matter.

Nope you wont have any problems with Bitcoin Gold as that fork already occurred so if you had BTC at the time of the snapshot you will be credited given you had your private keys or the exchange you had it on honored the fork themselves. Also you need not worry about transferring for B2X fork either because that one has now been canceled and postponed.

Its ok, the hard fork of bitcoin gold has already passe. There is another incoming, the segwit fork of bitcoin. That one is about to come, maybe you wanted to ask about that one. Be carefull with the web page you use to withdraw your Coins, there is a lot of scams out there. Do a lot of research and pick the one that is more used. Good luck!

First of all, it's not the "segwit fork" since that already happened and we already have Segwit. What WAS going to happen was the 2X part of the fork (Segwit2x). And about that, you are also a little too late:

The Segwit2x fork just got cancelled. Nothing will change, and there won't be any "free airdrop" anymore.
