Title: Qoinpro.com has just stolen ~0.033 btc from me....
Post by: wpsimp on November 11, 2017, 01:37:10 AM
QOINPRO IS A SCAM.

Sorry for the caps, but I am livid. They have just stolen ~0.033 BTC from me (purchased for over $250 USD 😭). They sent an email claiming to be providing BCH and BTG to folks who deposited BTC to the site since they were supporting the fork. I deposited funds, let them know, never received a response, and so decided to withdraw... I have been emailing them asking why my outgoing transfer is being withheld and not processed, and now it looks like it has! There is a (currently unconfirmed) transfer than has been made to an entirely different wallet than the one I provided for withdrawal...

https://blockchain.info/address/1MgeyiMvssi9wvKkcFwGuzx9oZBLn5yMAD

That is the QoinPro wallet i transferred the funds to... This is the wallet address i provided for withdrawal...

1BU2C4LMm5eRGtvshDZrizcXcjXFaHv3tt

The chain shows that there is a balance in that second wallet, but it's a wallet for a dice site that i use often simply to take advantage of the instantaneous processing and those funds currently shown in the balance are not mine.. They rotate wallet addresses, and i use this old address for deposits.

I was also just shown this video as final confirmation of my fears....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAY5ssDjZYc

I still can't believe it.. the site has been around for so long, and the whole time just a long con, waiting for a good opportunity to steal deposited coin?? This is a large amount of money to me and not the first time i have been scammed out of btc for something that seemed totally legit...

Can anyone recommend anything to spread awareness about this? Or legal action? It appears any chance i might ever have had at getting my coin back are out the window, but i still want to do anything i can to take this fraudster down.... I suppose an IC3 report couldn't hurt....

I can verify everything, there is solid proof of criminal activity.. please, if you know anyone involved with Qoinpro, let them know...... UGH

Unfortunately websites that promise unlimited and fast profits are just to fool unsuspecting users. I'm sorry for your loss.  :-[

I'm looking at a loss of 0.52 BTC right now.

I initiated a withdrawal last Tuesday and nothing has posted to my account as of yet. I've got proof if needed be. I've sent several emails and opened a support ticket to no avail. Forget about getting Bitcoin Gold or BCH. The founder Wouter van der Schagt is pretty active in Tweeter, but ignores all my messages.

I know there are a bunch of people in this predicament.

The question is what can we do at this point?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys!

There are a bunch of unconfirmed transactions right now so maybe the withdrawal is just stuck. You can wait for some time or maybe you have just been scammed. Maybe there are others as well who are in the same boat as you so you can meet altogether and plan your actions. If you can't do something about it then this transaction will just served as a lesson. I have been scammed before as well for more than one bitcoin in another site and wasn't able to get it again.

The transactions are both confirmed at this point, but even if they were still awaiting confirmations, they were withdrawn to completely different wallet addresses than the ones either of us provided.. plus, my wallet actually still shows the withdrawl in a pending state (there is no transaction link attached as there normally is after processing a withdrawal).

This is definitely not my first time getting scammed out of bitcoin, and ive been actively using btc for a few years now, so I know that the only chance I have to ever get my coin back is Wouter S. van der Schagt (CEO and likely the one man operating the site) feeling bad and proactively deciding to send it to me himself... In other words, S.O.L.

I also want to mention that I reached out to scambitcoin.com via Facebook, and after explaining the situation and providing some verifications, the site admin added qoinpro.com to their bitcoin scam blacklist.

Any updates?

I just checked. ConPro still has my BTC and its owner wouter van der schnag refuses to respond to my emails. He is the only one that manually handles the withdrawal of money and I'd bet ConPro is a one con man operation. Please beware, although many people have gotten their money back unfortunately, a lot haven't yet.

The whole place is just a huge mess, guys. No support, horrible customer service, LOTS of promises of free BCH, BTG and Alt coins, but the execution is the worst I've ever seen. Not even the government is this inept. Please Note the withdrawal fee is 25,000 satoshis. So, let's see, if your ConPro's account shows an increase of 5 free satoshis per day it'd take you about 5,000 days or 13.6 years just to break even. By then ConPro will be long gone my friends.

Guys, follow our advise: Do NOT send your BTC to that shitty company... you may never see your BTC again. If you recently made a withdrawal and got your money you sure are one lucky guy. Don't send them your hard earned BTC! Don't enable wouter van der schnag's confidence game.

You've been warned!!!

Peace.

Hi folx,

I just joined, searching about trying to find out why QOINPRO IS DOWN!!

I guess it went scam-belly up, judging from these comments...

I joined it from badbitcoin.com, who said this was a "safe site"!

I guess you can TRUST NOTHING ONLINE !!

These guys send out "legit-looking" phishing emails regarding every fork in the hopes to catch unsuspecting/vulnerable people to transfer their hardearned bitcoin to them... Hopefully prospective cryptopeeps reads/researches more on these guys and sees all the scam warnings about them before gifting them easy BTC.

Hi,

The same thing happens to me, I lost 1.28BTC on their platform. They never made the withdrawal, no trace on the blockchain.

Do you think it would be useful to launch a cybercrime group procedure with the Hong Kong authorities?

What happened? Did you deposit 1.28 BTC and can't withdraw it now?

That's an extremely high amount to even trust the biggest exchange names with, since they have in numerous occasions failed to make withdrawals on time, especially poloniex. Qoinpro isn't even supposed to be a wallet, it's actually a faucet.

If you're trusting it with that much money, it's no surprise that you're getting scammed...

Contact this person: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=178907. I doubt that the HK police will care about such a small case even if you do report it to them tbh.

What cautioned me were:
1. A friend told me that there is nothing free, even in Freetown.
2. A local proverb which means, free food kills easily.
When I put together the two, I realized it was a fake site.
