Title: Cryptopia BTC withdrawal fee
Post by: Fynall on November 11, 2017, 10:21:22 PM
I thought the withdrawal fee was 0.0001 BTC and not 0.001 BTC, is this normal? Thanks.

Yes, the BTC0.001 fee is normal in Cryptopia and I think it has always been like this. If not, at least it is for several months. I don't ever remember seeing  0.0001 BTC for Bitcoin withdrawals. Maybe you are making a confusion with another exchange? With Polionex perhaps?

It's actually 0.002 now. That's the highest I've seen on any exchange. I haven't tried withdrawing yet, but I bet they are pooling the withdraws too for maximum profit. Should be at least instant with such a fee.

That is very high indeed. For reference, Bittrex is 0.001 and Bitfinex 0.0005 so it may be better to exchange for another currency to withdraw. If it's a small amount and you have accounts on other exchanges, that could work out cheaper.

As far as I know WD fee for btc in cryptopia was 0.001. I don't know if they changed the fee , I don't make btc withdrawal from cryptopia quite long.

Exchange to other coins could be another alternative , I prefer exchange my btc to ETH before ask a withdrawal. Cryptopia has reduced fee for ETH from 0.001 ETH to 0.0005 ETH.

I exchange to doge. They are quite stable, fast in transactions and mostly need very low transactions fee.

Yes it's normal, other exchange also have the same withdrawal fee 0.001.

Can confirm this, just checked the withdrawal fee and it is 0.002. Wow, i'm surprised actually because the last time i withdrawal my bitcoin is 0.001 fee and now changed to 0.002. I think this is the biggest withdrawal fee compared to other exchange.

Exchange it into alts then send it to Poloniex. Then from Polo change it back to BTC. Polo have 0.0001 Withdraw fees.

Yes, that's the highest withdrawal fee compared to other exchange. Here in my trusted local exchange, the withdrawal fee is only 50k satoshi and it is being processed with recommended fee so it I always get fast confirmation. 0.002 btc is more than $34 at the current price, so it is better to convert your btc into other coins to get cheaper fees.
