you are rich person if you have 10 btc but i am not sure that with 10 btc you can do pump and dump because in the market, there is big whales that have more than 10 btc so i think you can only following them until you can increase your bitcoin amount. but if you want to tried then go ahead and who knows you can move the price with easily. but for me, 10 bitcoin is better to trade with altcoin because there is many altcoin that only have less than 5 bitcoin so you can trying to pump and dump the coins.

You could pump the price of some unpopular coin with your purchases, and generate fake volume, but people would be wary if there's no reasons for it to have picked up. Controlling a coin that no one trades is not too different from owning monopoly money.

Ya it is true that 10btc is very big but you have to first check which coin you are going to raise as if it has lot of coins then your 10btc will be wasted and it will be only gain for that coin developer or holder , who will dump all his coin to you and will just go away happily. So just like that investing in a coin will make the coin value to moon for some time until that coin is not dumped by the developer or any other big holder. The way you are telling is nothing that you are going to waste your 10 btc and soon will come here and cry of getting scam.

technically speaking there are  altcoins that you can pump with much less than that. even 0.1BTC would suffice for many of them and with 1BTC it is an easy pump. but the problem is not about just having the money at your disposal it is about capability of pumping or not.

it is not just about buying something so that its price goes up, it is about keeping it up there or better yet, push it up there without buying everything yourself.
that is what the pump groups do. they have a small amount of bitcoin, they buy some shitcoin without telling anyone and then when they are done they tell everyone of their sheeps to buy that shitcoin. and then they dump.

there is also the fact that you are not going to be alone in this market. there are others with 10BTC at their disposal. there are also others will millions of that shitcoin at their disposal who will dump as soon as they see a rise/opportunity.

Obviously you can't. It would b3 a small amount compared to majority. Maybe it would only affect the value of Bitcoin a little bit but not as that big to the point that you can already control whether its value will fall or not. When i have 10 bitcoins, i will feel very happy living this life and maybe at the age of 24 this year, i have become an established young man.
I will soon marry my girlfriend, make a simple house and the rest i will do business in the field of electronics.

No, obviously you can’t manipulate BTC price with 10 BTC. Even for other altcoins, it is not that you have the money and you can pump and dump. There must be buyers who fall for your pump and dump scam for you to dump the coin onto.

I think a million bitcoins will do but for 10 bitcoins he's likely to chicken out in no time because there are several people with 10 bitcoins and can have counter effect on whatever you try to do with your 10 bitcoins.

Well actually you can even do this easily if you have just 1 bitcoin because bitcoin is very costly and you can just invest that one bitcoin into other altcoins to make a lot more profit very easily and fast.

Nope. Having 10 bitcoins is not means you are a whale. I heard some whales have more that 10.000 bitcoins or even more per account on many trading sites, so they can easily dump and pump a coin. 1 whale can't control a coin but with many whales I think they can.

Yah you can become a partner of some developers of ICO and can possibly have a majority of control. If I were holding that 10btc I could have start my own business but maybe not in investing in ICO or other alts maybe I will put some in a good venture then half will be kept as a sort of long term investment.

Well 10 Bitcoins are very low to control a coins price and why you want to waste your money in controlling its price rather you can invest in many things and can have better profit then the coin.
Though, You will need at least 50 bitcoin to control a coins price.

If I have 10 bitcoin the first thing that I would do is to hold it or invest it in any investmentn or trading sites. We all know that investing and trading are the best sources of income. Lastly, if I have that I will keep it in my online wallet and I will hold for many years.

There are a ton of shit coins out there where you could be a big time whale with the amount of coins you have  ;D :P just look at the market cap and daily trading volume and then you can decide for yourself whether you will be considered a big time whale,it depends upon which coin you are trading and so on,just check the market cap and do the math . :P

If that's what you like to do, manipulate the markets, pumping and dumping, I am sure you can find many little altcoins to pump and dump with a few friends lol. Although personally speaking I would prefer to do something more of real value if I had ten bitcoins, like invest them in real projects that have long term potential and growth. PUMPING AND DUMPING can be very stressful, especially if you land up being dumped upon.  :)

10 btc in bitcoin market I think its still small if you're target is to manipulate the movement of btc. You have to have million of it for you to do that. But why whlould you want to do that? Perhaps you may opt to convert and use it in other altcoin where small capital is needed to affect the value.

Yes you can control other Altcoins but not Bitcoin, and possessing 10 BTC to be called as whales is too far from reality, you need more than a thousand Bitcoin to become a whale.

Laughing out loud, don't give yourself titles. 10 bitcoins is a lot of money but I don't think that you will be able to control a well established coin on the market, unless if you are willing to become a whale for those undervalued coins which are worth less than 40 satoshis which might results in huge losses. I would have considered you to be a whale if you were holding 100 bitcoins or more, currently I don't.

what coin that you mean? if you want to pump or dump the big coin or popular coin i tihnk you can't do it because there are many token holders that have bigger than 10 Bitcoin value, if you want to play with new token (smart contract) i think you can do it, you can do some manipulation i that coin

With 10btc it's possible to manipulate the assets which have very small volumes of token under circulation through the different exchanges available. With this you cannot manipulate much big or low. Price manipulation is done by whales who have thousands of bitcoin.

This is not enough if you have plans of doing that to the bitcoin ecosystem, $65,000 can only add a little fluctuation to the whole market.

But you can be a whale yourself if you'll buy some other coins that are totally dead and then you suddenly put up a buy order.

Yes you can! because if you convert that into eth that would be a lot. Creating your own coin only cost a few while distributing it and registering will take sometime but it will cost you enough.

Why would you want to do that? 10 BTC is not enough to influence anything on the bitcoin market. But i agree, on smaller altcoins, you can influence the market but you can also lose some of your funds.

If you have 10 bitcoins then you can make a lot of money with the difference in value there is all the time but you just should find the right moment to buy bitcoin.
And of course the right moment to sell it because then you just wait for the value to drop again so you can invest in it again.

10 bitcoin is really not that much to manipulate a market. You will need more that that to be able to successfully control a coin. Besides I don't think one person controls the market it's more of a group thing,  they decide and they all pump in their money together.

I agree. I think the best use for that is to invest or trade. That's a pretty substantial capital to start off with. Also, I can encash some and maybe start a business. I think when you have that much of an amount, the best would be to use it in something with purposeful. That would be the better use for it.

Yes you can my advice is to put 4 BTC in to trading in other altcoins and 6 to just save them in wallet in case something goes wrong or you need money you can pull 2 bitcoins out and still have  left in your wallet and 4 into other coins.

It's not possible with 10 Bitcoins but if you have 1000 bitcoins you can do that so don't try with 10 Bitcoins.

If you are asking if you could pump or dump the Bitcoin value then the answer is no. 10 BTC is quite a lot but it is still too small amount to be "a big player". However, in the next 10 years 10 BTC will be quite a lot and not many people will be able to trade such huge amount of BTC.

This would be valid for only extremely low volumed tokens/coins. Today, 10BTC is nothing and you can't control promising coins/tokens with that amount of capital. You need at least 100BTC or above to do this, from my perspective.

Whales even do this with thousands of BTC on their trades.

i depends on the volume of that coin mate if that coins holds 100 BTC you could at least manipulate the market but also suffered when majority decided to sell it will always depend on your strategy but you could profit much in higher volume coins when they are pumping, or you could start a pump in low volume coins just always be wary in news specially in bitcoin's..

The number of bitcoins are fixed by 21 million. 10 coins is actually like a drop in the sea and you can't make any big change in the price by selling-buying. There are people who own hundreds and thousands of coins, and even millions (there is an opinion that Satoshi Nakamoto own 1 mln of bitcoins), all those people can really affect the price, but you not too much  :)

10 Bitcoins is a small amount, you need a large amount of money for Pump and Dump. People here are making more than a Bitcoin per month so it is small investment for such plans.

You can certainly affect the price of a low liquidity coin with 10 BTC. Some coins only trade $5000 a day so if you put in a market order to buy 10 BTC worth you;'ll pump the price up. You can look at depth of the order book on some sites to see how much you will increase the price. Unfortunately unless the market notices, chances are the price will dump back down pretty quickly leaving you with a large loss.

You can’t manipulate the prices of bitcoin itself with 10 bitcoin but you can do control the prices of whole range of the alt-coins for sure. Because any alt coins is not even 10% of single bitcoin which gives you 1000% of window if considered 10 bitcoin altogether. You can just move the pumps and dumps with your own strategy and people are doing this with groups and with the help of telegram groups. So yeah alt can be in your hands but not the bitcoin itself. Just look at the BCH, how they are pumping and dumping it the way they want it.

It could be if you control the coin with a small market, but if you want to control Bitcoin it is actually not possible because big traders are on the market there. But if you enter in a small market there is no advantage to you because the turnaround will be very slow.

Yes you can buy and hold smaller cap ICO's and then pump & dump them according to your wish, because smaller caps already shows that their liquidity is small comparing to bitcoin and other major coins. So you can pump and dump by controlling their supply and demand.

Nope. It won't be enough to be a gamechanger for Bitcoin. 10 Bitcoin is surely small compared to majority of the number of Bitcoins. It will either make a dump or pump but it won't be huge and might not be felt for a period of time. You will surely need more tham that to somehow control the volatility of Bitcoin's market value.

Pump and Dump is not just investing a huge BUY order, theres a proper way to recover your investment. But be mind that any wrong move would make your altcoin investment lose in trade or end up your position dumped.

Well, I don't think so because even shitty alt-coins have market capital much bigger than 10 BTC and I don't see any possibility of controlling the market price especially with a pump and dump scheme with the capital of 10 BTC.

However, if you are placing a sudden buy order of 10 BTC then it will influence the other traders if they see an open order of 10 BTC for any coin. However, I am not 100 sure if it will encourage them to trade in it or not because in most of the cases, they are used to such tactics and they know it is a lucrative pump and dump attempt.

It depends on which market you follow / trade.
If the market is small and less trader you can definitely be a whale there.
But if the market is too big, of course you can not.

I think it's not as easy as you think. maybe with ico you are a big whale. but not with bitcoin, many of my friends hold more than you. so I do not think there will be any major changes to bitcoin values.

Buy to be considered as a whale you have to have more than yhat. There are some who owns hundreds or thousands of btc out there and they are the ones who are considered as whales. And they are the ones who can definitely manipulate the price.

I think there is still a possibility with 10 bitcoin he could control a coin. but I'm not sure the coins it is nice, there are many altcoin have such a low volume in yobit, cryptopia and others. but the risk is possible you can lose a lot of your bitcoin if a coin not good. but there are still many potential good coins also with just 10 bitcoin you can control it, like SDRN.
 

This is very good time sell your some Bitcoin and buy some Altcoins. So many altcoins are under valued and will perform in future. Some good pickups are WAVE, STRATIS, NEO.

All you will do is put 10 BTC into an awful coin and allow bagholders to dump them at decent prices, then when no one else will buy from you the price goes down again leaving you with all the rubbish. Do not attempt this with a single satoshi.

I think 10 bitcoin is not that huge to control a trading market.In exchanges there are big whales who puts each buy orders of 10-30 bitcoins.Thats why 10 bitcoin is a low amount to control a market.But yes,price can be stopped getting lower of low volume coins by putting a 10 bitcoin buy order.

LOL. It's not enough to control Bitcoin if you only have 10 BTC :)). The total supply amount of Bitcoin is 21M so if you want to be able to control Bitcoin price like the whales I think you must have at least thousands BTC cause when you want to be able control anything you should have at least 10 or 20% of the shares for example when you want to control a company you need to have the largest shares percent about 40 or 50% of the company shares but with Bitcoin it's impossible to have 50% of 21M BTC so I think thousands out of 21M BTC is enough to dump or pump the price when you want :)
