Title: mining over remote connection question Post by: Jcw188 on June 20, 2013, 02:42:59 PM Hi,
I have a computer I can't get to that often so I tried setting up a Windows remote connection to start guiminer on it. For some reason, if I'm there at the computer and start it up, I get the normal hash rate. If I connect and start mining via remote connection, I get 1/100th of the hashrate. Anyone know why or how to fix this? Thanks. Title: Re: mining over remote connection question Post by: evilscoop on June 20, 2013, 02:45:41 PM tru using something better like logmein (free)
Chances are the remote is trying to mine on the virtual display not the local card :D Title: Re: mining over remote connection question Post by: threedrules on June 20, 2013, 02:56:11 PM yeah think your not on the /admin screen

Title: Re: mining over remote connection question Post by: Mazakguy on June 21, 2013, 07:35:50 PM Try tight VNC. That is what I use and it works great! Free too :D
Title: Re: mining over remote connection question Post by: icey on June 21, 2013, 08:20:10 PM I've used Logmein and TightVNC and had no issues with either to be honest, both should work a treat
Title: Re: mining over remote connection question Post by: tom_o on June 21, 2013, 08:50:31 PM I use teamviewer to access the miner I've left in uni halls, ver useful cause it gets straight through their firewalls which disallow server and various other remote connection methods. Teamviewer works just fine.

Teamviewer works just fine. This.I use Teamviewer, Remote Desktop Connection and UltraVNC. Teamviewer is quite awesome for even multimedia viewing/hearing. You can even use an Ipad / Android to remote into your windows PC from there. The other connection types are just in case Teamviewer crashes and I can backdoor in to restart. |
