Post by: thedec4 on November 13, 2017, 09:07:45 AM

I'm using a simple Asus laptop as my daily driver. Specs:

- i3-3217U
- Nvidia GT720M
- 8GB Corsair Vengeance Memory

Hey, it runs smooth and I can get a stable 75 fps in CS:GO at the lowest setting! Going to pair my old i7 Thinkpad with R9 Graphic Cards as an eGPU next month and keep it as my gaming machine.

See thats what I like to see! Specs like that for a laptop look good! Decent to get that FPS too! But liking the idea of the thinkpad!

I have an HP Omen with i5-6630HQ and GTX 960m. I'm kinda satisfied-ish with it except for the building quality but after all it's HP.

I have 8GB ram, 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD. I'm thinking about moving to Surface though.

For crypto I use an ancient laptop, from the year 2006 with core2duo mobile processor, 2GB ram (have to find another 2...) and 400GB HDD. I want to replace it with an SSD but I have to investigate first if it's worth my money to do so, I'm honestly afraid the CPU is still the bottleneck so HDD upgrade would be useless :P

Damn! Good to see a machine still running from back then... Depends what you're running as if you've got stats for your mining on it currently im sure there will be calculators online to work out the bottleneck of your machine.

Have to agree with hp... their build quality isnt the best... I have the issue with Dell as we use them at work and okay the cable management is alright in them but if you want to take anything apart there's never much room to move anything.

i5-4460 is a decent processor... I used to have one and it was a pretty solid cpu handled everything I chucked at it.

good to see an i5-3570k! even though they're getting on they're still a really good cpu! Graphics card is decent too as thats what I currently run!
