Title: Exodus and Komodo
Post by: swogerino on November 17, 2017, 06:50:27 PM
I checked Exodus roadmap and I didn't see it will accept anytime soon Komodo there but still want to ask here. I will be paid with Komodo when my signature ends of 27 November and I have downloaded a Komodo desktop wallet which reviews are good but would love to keep them in Exodus. The feature I like more of Exodus is the exchange section of every altcoin to bitcoin.

Why not add a major coin like Komodo while they have added even weaker coins, what do you think , it is not worth it or they haven't care much ?

Contact them through their Slack or Email (support@exodus.io); AFAIK Komodo should meet all the criteria required to be included in Exodus[1].

But they already have a pretty big roadmap for next supported assets, so it should take some time if they decide to support it.

Quote
  • Asset availability on ShapeShift.
  • Asset has developer resources and documentation.
  • Asset has specialized API servers with load balancing setup for private use by Exodus. This is much easier if the API is based upon Bitpay Insight.
  • Marketcap and 24-hr volumes are considered. Top-50 or perceived potential to enter the top-50.

I also don't see how can Komodo be a "major coin". Which should be one of reason why they don't support it yet (there are already too many more "important" coins to support).

Well I am not an expert in altcoins, in fact it is my first altcoin signature so I decided to research a bit of Komodo and it was supported almost in every major exchange that is why I thought is important. Anyway I now have to exchange Komodos through exchange but was hoping to exchange it directly in Exodus. Thank you for your response.

You realise that all Exodus does is push your coin exchange through shapeshift.io right? The only benefits of using Exodus are that all your coins are in one place... and I think they may get slightly better exchange rates due to the large volume they're likely generating, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

However, in effect it is really no different than going to the website, setting up the exchange transaction and then sending the coins from your wallet yourself.
