Title: Who else is fine if Bitcoin would stay at this price for the next six months?
Post by: BuyingFast on November 21, 2017, 09:51:30 PM
Let's be honest, the technology behind it hasn't evolved much from a user's standpoint. The price is huge, most of us have made a lot of money already. I'm more than satisfied with the current price, but I think it has a higher chance of a huge correction than to go up. So I'd be happy if it remains at this level. Anyone else in the same boat?

I would prefer it to stay or even fall the next few months until I got the chance to gain enough Bitcoin. Then it may skyrocket after a few months. But I fear, it will continue its way up.

You mean stable? Of course the price is already high, but given and there's no denying that we are all satisfied by it. But given the nature of bitcoin as a speculative market, I don't think that we will be that stable, its just a matter of time that a dump will happened.

It's inevitable though that a price correction should happened so that we can go to the next level. But I will take today's price anytime of the day because we have really profited a lot from this continuing price increase.

Sure. Bitcoin rose in price beyond my expectations since last year compared to my past expectations. I guess price stability for 6 months would be good as people could actually look at bitcoin as a stable payment system, not fearing for bitcoin's price to crash after receiving BTC payments.

Though I think if bitcoin's price would be stable for that long I think it would drop a bit, due to impatient people selling them and thinking of something like "btc is dead" or whatever just because the price didn't move for some time.

I love that too if the price of bitcoin can stay at $8,000 for the next six months. For me $8,000 is already so big, of course i would be happy if the price keep increase but it seems it will going down soon. I prefer stay at $8,000, so i don't need to afraid about the bitcoin price for the next six months.

i am fine if bitcoin price is stay at this price and if bitcoin price is really stay at this price then i think we can see altcoin price will increase and we can have our party time for altcoin. the altcoin price will start to rise again and the price will reach the highest price like bitcoin too. with the price now, i think if altcoin price is increase, we can make a big profit too because altcoin trend will up too and if we buy at lower price, then we can waiting the next higher price.

So here everything is with such a hope that the moment still depends on the long years 5 or even will rise. Nobody wants a recession, it's a loss in profit, but it's inevitable. So everything will show the time.

Let's be honest, the technology behind it hasn't evolved much from a user's standpoint.
technology for 99% of the rest of the things in the world has not evolved much from a user's standpoint. but that doesn't make any of the any less valuable than they are as long as they have their usages. and bitcoin has a lot, and lots more potential to it than you see. and this potential is still raw and as it is reached the price grows.

Quote
I'm more than satisfied with the current price, but I think it has a higher chance of a huge correction than to go up.
there is a bigger chance for a slower rise than a bigger rise.
there is a much smaller chance for a big fall that lasts than anything else.

in my opinion we will continue seeing the same speed rise for the following 6 months at least. and nothing will change with how price rises, we will have the big ups then some FUD and a 30% crash before it jumps back up again. and after 6 months only if we don't get some big news like this year, the price will slow down for a while but it will still rise.

Quote
So I'd be happy if it remains at this level. Anyone else in the same boat?
sorry but bitcoin is not known to be stable for this long. the longest time of stability that I can remember was back in the time when price was at the bottom after MtGox at $230 which lasted about a month and even then with that kind of stability we had 2 big things: 1 drop to $180 and 1 rise to $250

Can you tell us how the graph below shows/indicates a coin that "Nothing is moving these days."? And that's only bitcoin; movement on some alts are greater. I don't know about you, but it sure looks volatile to me. *shrugs*  ::)

Look at the big picture. You say the technology hasn't evolved but what you fail to see is that Bitcoin is still heavily undervalued at this point. It is far more advanced than what the world is at today. Once people start using crypto we will see massive adoption and a very steep increase in bitcoin price.

I think bitcoin price will increase more in the coming six months and so on because the potential of bitcoin is huge the current price of bitcoin is just the initial stage. But yeah I am satisfied if the current price is staying for the next six months too because I too made good amount of profit from bitcoin in short time.
But there is no possibility for stable price because always the bitcoin price is swinging and it will be increased when the days passed.

Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on which viewpoint you all prefer), Bitcoin is destined (cult-sounding term?) to go up within the next six months because of the coming Futures Contracts not just by CME but most probably by other exchanges that are already seeing a good fortune to be made via this platform. Yes, personally speaking I have no problem if Bitcoin can be fixed for the next six months while the many problems affecting it can be solved once and for all. However, this is an open market and it can go up and can also go down...nobody can definitely say what will happen because even those who are experts in the movement of Bitcoin may also made mistakes in projections about the future of Bitcoin.

I agree with you on this one. From a technical perspective bitcoin has been going up exponentially, and nothing goes up that fast without a correction. HOWEVER, with the coming CME futures (I believe they are expected in December), we're going to see a lot of institutional money pour into bitcoin. And as we all know, wall street guys are a bunch of greedy gamblers... so bitcoin will probably continue to rise for a few month, and then we'll see a correction sometime around FEB.

Anyways, let's wait and see what happens :)

Maybe the technology hasn't evolved much from your own point of view because you've not experienced the evolution, but I can assure you that Bitcoin is changing from a technical point of view.
Soon we'll have more wallets that will have segwit enabled addresses, that's something everybody will benefit from.

Also don't forget about atomic swaps in the future, making cross chain exchange of crypto currency possible.

The only thing that matters for me regarding the value of Bitcoin is that it keeps moving upwards over the long term, whether it's slow or fast doesn't matter to me.

That "correction" that many of the users are using here. Where did you get that?
Is there really such a thing as a correction?
This is bitcoin we are talking about and even before I havent heard about correction, not until this forum have been populated and they created new words which is just to relieve their lost.  ;D

There is no such thing! Demands will be the one who will tell what the price will be. Pfft.
And that "demand" will grow as the community grows. That is the only explanation why it goes way beyond our imagination.

well, what did you expect out of the technology? flying cars :D
as a matter of fact it has evolved. bitcoin that is used today is nothing like what Satoshi introduced the first day. of course the basics are the same but a lot has been added. for example the multi signature feature, the data embedding with OP_Returns which BitFury is using to embed data on the blockchain, they already have contracts with some governments for that!
and lots more, and there will be a lot more with SegWit, Lightning Network and all the things that are coming such as Atomic Swaps, Confidential transactions, Smart Contracts,...

Sure, demand will keep growing, and it will take the price along for the ride. No doubt about that. But along the way there will be profit taking and there will be panic selling... this is just how markets work. These are your corrections. And bitcoin has had more than a handful of these :P

I think I知 up for this assumption because I have some plans if this really happens. If after this lock up value period is over then the price must go up and it will go up because people like would have invested a lot of money until then. Due to its locking period I will be getting window to buy more and more bitcoin at this price or same price over the period of 6 months and thus giving me chance to earn profits later on when the prices will go high all above the 8K prices or locked price. I mean come on with small investment each month I can at least bring up 2-3 bitcoins easily and then on top of that we can earn huge amounts of interest just like that. Hm, seems to me good deal and I知 for that anytime. I think most of the people will prefer the same scenario as me.

Bitcoin price is rising very fast and it is not good IMO.
Steady growth is better than fast growth. Fast growths are more likely to fall much faster if there isn't much support.

The way bitcoin price is rising nowadays, it has a potential growth of $10,000 within this year.
But I'm afraid to say that after reaching 10k it may fall by 20%-30% within no time. I think bitcoin found its base price which is $7,000 and it will not fall below that easily.

This is just my opinion, it maybe totally false.

In the next six months I think the bitcoin value will go up without having to keep the current price. The next milestone for bitcoin is $ 10,000. This is absolutely possible when huge amounts of exchanges are made every day.

Six month is a very long period in crypto world and no one can't say what is going to happen with price. I.think we all saw that bitcoin market is more and more turbulent and price is changing up or down very quickly. Hope it will stay on current track without biger disturbances but it will not go up all the time, some dumps will happen too. And 10000$ within six month is maybe little too soon but not impossible.

Stable price for Bitcoin isn't a bad ideal at all, if Bitcoin's price is stable , it could become the most popular currency in this world. But if this feature only exist for 6 months, it's okay too, safe place to keeping the money.

But it will certainly protect the capital amount. Also as per the normal stock market rules, price stabilization is not a bad thing. So for me, it will be a good indication for bitcoin if it stays at the same level for another 6 months.

I will hope for some good pump in next few months but floor for that pump should be around current price. Another big pump after good buy support created around current price will be more stable than a big pump pushing price to over 2x or 3x within few weeks.

$8K per coin can be floor for next jump to over $10k.

I am fine with current bitcoin prices , Price of bitcoin rising very faster from the last year when everyone start know about bitcoins , One Wrong news about can decline the price of bitcoin also.. Lots of Investors of other companies are attracted towards bitcoins now days  They think if they invest in bitcoin then they will double this amount in few years rather than investing in any project which gives less return. Upcoming Six month can not say anything , just look at history if price come down i will buy Btc hold and sell later last 15 days price come down to 3700$ also , think if someone have bought at that stage and sold at 8200$ how much profit he makes ?
IF someone woke up from long sleep who bought btc in year 2010 Will he sell bitcoins ?

I would be fine with the price of Bitcoin leveling off for a few months while I try to accumulate some more. The more the price rises, the more we have to pay for Bitcoins when we buy them. I知 trying to buy a little bit more over the next few months so I would like to buy them at a good price if possible. Basically, the higher the price goes, the less I can buy.

Bitcoin at this price for the next 6 months would be just fine, but it will have both advantages and disadvantages for me.
Advantages is time, within which I can accumulate more in the hope to see it grow and also it will be hassle free for frequent user for transaction if the amount is considered in USD.
Disadvantages will be the fear which might work in few investor that it might not grow more, leading to sharp or gradual fall of value.

But I think and believe that this thing is not going to happen, so just chill. Being stable in this market is not possible for now.

As what we can see on how this technology getting such an improvement also so this kind of digital currency can have also some improvement to adopt more and more people and more investor can take on this such a great currency.

It's fine if bitcoin stays at the price of 10,000 USD just for the next 6 years because that huge equivalent exchange value of bitcoin is already huge. If the price will dump into below 5,000 USD its gonna be fine too. But i guess that is not the usual price when 6 years have come. Speculation would be above the higher price than what i expect for at this time.

The technology may not have evolved as much as the price of Bitcoin, but now there is more interest in blockchain technology and this are the results, more projects equals more trust resulting a growing value.

I'm absolutely fine for the price to stay like this for a very long time, and in fact, far happier if it goes down to even 6k. I've been at a far lower price, psychologically... never really past $4.5k (although probably now more like $6k), as the massive correction mentality hasn't quite gone away. So anything drastic up to a 25% loss is something I can bear. Of course, this is primarily because I earn mainly BTC, but in a dollar value. And because I expect a far more valuable Bitcoin in years to come, accumulating more now would benefit me years down the line.

Still, if Bitcoin can maintain these levels for six months, it would be a huge show of strength and an impressive record of stability after such a wild year. That itself will do a lot of good for the coming years after.

I would like to see a huge correction from this point as i am not able to gamble with it at the price we have right now, majority of the crypto currency gambling sites has to either accept alt coins for regular users to have a good time rather than investing a huge amount of money in bitcoin to gamble,i am waiting for a correction for a very long time and i am not sure when it will happen.

Actually i am not in the same boat with you. As i have not many bitcoin so far, i would prefer bitcoin just do its correction first then i bought some then it to the moon.

If it remains this level then I can go ahead and trade alt coins again. Man, I missed trading a lot! The last altcoin that I have made was back in August as I cut loss my DCR. Anyway, I hope the price wouldn't fall too hard. Lots of millionaires were made in 2017, and I hope next year will give me luck. Cheers!

I'm ok with whatever the price of bitcoin is to be honest, because I believe in its potencial. As for as a correction occurring in it's price I don't know. Why do you really think bitcoin price is over it's true value? Yes, nothing has really happen in terms of technical evolution, but a lot of things are happening in terms of regulations and potencial adoption. This plays a big role in bitcoin value, since it's price is defined by supply and demand. You have plenty of signs of adoption all over the media. More financial institutions are announcing they will have bitcoin futures for it's clients, coinbase user database is increasing a lot recently, banks are saying they will create wallets for their clients to deposit bitcoin, and many more "small" news like this.

You are correct, nothing huge is happening, but a lot of small things are indicating demand for bitcoin, and this makes it's price go up.

Bitcoin, the ever growing cryptocurrency, has reached sky high with its growing value. In the world of inflation where people are running for more and more money and no one is satisfied with his/her current job or status, even the richest is running for the more money, so also every bitcoiner would also not so satisfied if bitcoin would stay at this price for six months but they would be fine. There is irony in above stated sentence but satisfied and fine are two very different words, as people would be fine but no one could never be satisfied.

At least later after new year, BTC may grow higher.
I dont think it ll be here for 6 months

were on the same boat. its ok for me also if bitcoins price can stay at this level for the next 6 months or more because its already a good price point to earn such descent amount of profit though some people will still not be happy and contented with it because they are so greedy and will still demand more price hike in order for them to earn more due to the fact that most of them are purely investors and traders.

I think I'm up with this assumption. Perfectly thought out that how we can make it better or how it can make us to think twice.

Yes why not, it would be so easy to earn money form our real job salary and put it into bitcoin. Now a days situation is crazy whenever the prices are down I don't really have the money after paying all months EMI, Bills, etc. and when I get my salary at the end of month the bitcoin price could go very high. So when theorise will be locked down to one state it can gain high number of investors and we may do well after it starts rising.

This may or may not happen. But I'm sure that majority of the investor would think the same way as we are thinking to gain more bitcoin into their wallet. So may be there will be reverse effecting leading to more market cap.

I'd be more than fine with it, but it's silly to say that the tech is old hat and people will catch up with this. The tech has been waiting to be discovered and that process is only just starting in a truly significant way. To most people used to how normal money works, especially cross border, it's light years ahead despite niggles.

I think the one prediction we can sure about is that these prices will not be maintained. Whether it's up or down ain't no one knows.

Really hope BTC can crash to below $5K then I would buy LOADSSS

But to be honest, I dn't think BTC price will be low in the next few months because there are more and more global fund money trying to enter BTC market.
I think bitcoin is such a currency which change its price fast and I think there are a lot of traders and investors who spend too much money for profit and no one want to stay remain with same price although if the price is high every one want to more high price so I don稚 think so that same one want to stay remain with high price and I myself want to see more high price because I love and support bitcoin with high price and I want to increase my profit as well.

It痴 no possible for bitcoin to stay on one place and I think six months are more than enough because bitcoin change its price fast from low to high although bitcoin price is high at this time but if it stay remain so a lot of questions will be raise because bitcoin is digital currency and its connected with market trade and every day its users are expecting new price so I wish that bitcoin will go more high because we love it.

Even if would go down people would really still remain since they do already know the capability of bitcoin when it comes on its price movement.I agree on the fact that most of us did already make some money on it.Price corrections as normal because anytime if theres a sudden price increase rally it would really normally have a correction next which I do already anticipated and been seen and experienced after all these years with bitcoin. People would still remain and I'm sure on that thing.

I'm in the same boat, the same train, the same plane..

Don't think me selfish, but I pray everyday for the decrease in bitcoin price. I wish bitcoin price dropped to 5K-6K again..

If the price of bitcoin is increased gradually, incredible benefits can be provided. For example, if a fixed price of $ 10,000 is considered, Bitcoin will become available to everyone as a payment method. Fixed price is fixed every month, for example $ 12,000.
