Title: ANN [DECENTRALIZED] Bitcoin Diamond - Proof Of Stake Version Based On Bitcoin
Post by: bitcoin_diamond on November 22, 2017, 01:19:25 AM
Bitcoin Diamond
Is a decentralized P2P Network designed for bitcoin users this is not just PoW but it runs on Proof Of Stake with 100% Interest every year you don't need to worry about coins running out since there are 4.6 billion Total supply to handle inflation and since there are only 1000 Total blocks to be mined in PoW there wont be anymore coins existing in Proof Of Work and thereafter the coin will work into Proof Of Stake As this is the official launch of bitcoin Diamond We aim to keep the community happy and help to bring some better value for the coin.

Not just a copy but an implementation

Every coding is done very precisely so users don't have any issues with it in future. We have made sure the code does not interfere with any other software's We have spent good amount of time in coding and replicating different forks in one It can perhaps handle a lot of transaction's at the same time That's why we call it Bitcoin Diamond.

With built over a period of several years using Peercoins Proof-of-Stake and Bitcoin's Proof-of-Work consensus as a reference implementation, bringing an alternative codebase to the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Bitcoin Diamond does not have any ICO as we believe Most ico are just Scams and we don't want community to believe in any ICO as not all ICO are legitimate. Bitcoin Diamond is a self funded project designed for its users the premine of 10% will help the network to reward and make the network running Airdops will be only be through twitter campaign for now.

Bitcoin Diamond will be adding more updates as for now windows and linux wallet will be available and MAC wallet will soon be added to the website and would be updated on the bitcointalk page.

Bitcoin Diamond
also aims for the fastest transactions of 1 Confirmation as bitcoin's source itself is in experimental stage we are hoping we would be succesful in making the fastest version of bitcoin.

Bitcoin Diamond source is available on Github and any user can download.

Bitcoin Diamond website, Hosting , Nodes will be maintained throughly and any users can write on bitcointalk if they are facing any issues regarding any wallet we will be happy to assist and would be active for the users.

Bitcoin Diamond Developers dislikes ICO concepts and Forks that are making bitcoin Market Unstable and confusing So we are trying to solve this by proving a better chain so people can benefit using a faster chain for their businesses.
bitcoin diamond developers hopes's to build a good strong community.

Bitcoin Diamond Developers wish to make things simple for rewards and solving issues we just hope to have a happy community.

Updates On Bitcoin Diamond Would be added On www.bitcoindiamond.in/Updates/ (http://www.bitcoindiamond.in/Updates/) As well as Bitcointalk Page.

No need of any additional services

We have added Speed and accuracy in our software Our implementation proves the fastest and most reliable version of bitcoin We have also made the block size much smaller which therefore would not need for any future Segwit implementation on it.

We’re really happy you’ve chosen to engage this thread because we love to have new members in our community

Thanks the coin is still in a very experimental state as 1 confirmation on 1 block is very challenging  So far the coin is running really fast and smooth. Lets hope we have a great chain.

The speed off course and the fees are very lowest 0.0001 On average transactions.

Hi Dev,
can you provide the node?

For mining you would need to add up your own nodes So far we are on 167 Blocks.

Nice I hope we could cross the 1000 Blocks with the fastest 1 confirmation 1 block Transactions If we could surpass the PoW blocks then we can have success on the fastest chain on Bitcoin Diamond.

Hi Dev,

Sorry noob here, how to add my own node, i don't have one?

Code:
VPS running Ubuntu 14.04 server.

Update your VPS using the following commands.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Install the necessary dependencies using the following commands.

sudo apt-get install build-essential libssl-dev libdb-dev libdb++-dev libboost-all-dev git libssl1.0.0-dbg
sudo apt-get install libdb-dev libdb++-dev libboost-all-dev libminiupnpc-dev libminiupnpc-dev libevent-dev libcrypto++-dev libgmp3-dev

Download the deamon file from MyCoin and upload it using SCP/Filezilla.

Important: replace "yourcoin" with the name of your coin.

Extract the tar file using the following command.

Install the daemon.

chmod +x yourcoind
sudo mv yourcoind /usr/bin/

Create the config file.

mkdir $HOME/.yourcoin

can you provide the node?

For mining you would need to add up your own nodes So far we are on 167 Blocks.
How to do it?

you need to follow the instructions to mine the coin and support for its Node so far we have around 24 nodes connected.

I solved my problem by changing the conf file a bit and forward port 27268 to my private ip address from router

rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=your private ip address
rpcport=27268
listen=1
server=1
addnode=

minerd.exe --url=http://your private ip address:27268 --userpass=user:password

So far, I manage to mined one block 10000BID.

cheers

Only 1026 blocks mined but says "No more PoW blocks"

Code:
{
"blocks" : 1026,
"currentblocksize" : 1000,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"difficulty" : {

"combined" : 0

"stakeinterest" : 100000000,

}

And windows wallet shows 0 Mh/s hashrate!

The source code shows the last POW block as 1000

https://github.com/Bitcoin-Diamond/BitcoinDiamond/blob/master/src/main.h#L31

Code:
static const int LAST_POW_BLOCK = 1000;

So the POW mined money supply is way lower.

There would not be More PoW blocks After 1000 Now the coin stakes at 100%
Hope you all enjoyed mining :)

Ran a test transaction of 100 BID from exchange to wallet.

LESS THAN ONE MINUTE CONFIRMATION.

Screw that other guys bitcoin diamond project, and BTG and the rest where confirmations and transactions are taking EONS with broken wallets and everything else.

It actually works.

what do I do with these tokens? which is useless or can I buy it with mcDonald hamburger?
I think that's one of many new shitcoins that are dead later  ;D

Quit complaining about it and spread the word that there's a brand new alt coin that...

1. Has working wallets
2. Has working transactions
3. Has a working code base that's brand new to the scene and not even a github download, fork, clone scam, but a meshed PPC and Bitcoin tech built from the ground up with at least some care taken to develop it if not a lot.
4. Has a limited supply
5. Is anonymous
6. Is cheaper than dirt at the moment
7. Is POS now since all the coins are mined
8. Needs a better website (this team is small and the dev obviously must've done it, you can see all the GIMP work)
9. Needs a rally for listing in better exchanges like YoBit, HitBTC, etc.

there is  no seed node because

a. they use a known scam ip

b. they dont know how to do it

pick one both mean the same thing

the coin launched at 1 its 6 100% mined  by no  one

hahaha  only a noobie sock puppet would say this is legit

3. The developer had working code for a project where he spent a lot of time on it (read the code, it's commented by which parts are PPC and which parts are BTC code, why he chose those pieces, etc) and a working name in which somebody else (ie, a whale like you who got in early on BTC and has millions to spend on a fancy website, etc) got, and he paniced and put up an unfinished website and launched without a seed node and a free web server because he's obviously foreign.

1 gig fiber + dedicated IP for seed node = at least 150 USD a month to keep in my area and I live in an area with a big hydroelectric dam with 5 cent kwh electricity and fiber up the ass 50 mi from a Google and Microsoft data center.

Dev should change the name while keeping code and blockchain and the miners who supported it, which there were a few as long as there was 1000 blocks to mine which can be mined in hours and re-launched with the proper support. The tech is there, and it's good enough and clean enough to understand that someone (ie, a whale like you) could go on his github, hard fork it, change the name, throw 10k into a website, and make billions of dollars because he solved both the problems of transaction fees and speed through some clever re-mixing and customization.

I don't give a flying fuck what the market says, or how much money some guys got or their website. I want to see what this code can do scaled. Nothing more, nothing less. Because he said it was different, and I bothered to look at it. It's not even a bitcoin hard fork. It hardly has anything to do with bitcoin at all. It's like some crazy mesh of bitcoin/litecoin/PPC that happens to work.

I appreciate your honest review on bitcoin diamond As this is self funded project It does not include anything fancy.. Many forks coming out of Bitcoin ( Cash, Gold  ) they are not solving one thing that's speed Eg- we are in a restaurant and you want to pay the bill you obviously don't wish to wait for hours or even lets say 10 minutes to pay your bill And bitcoin diamond solves them As this project is currently still on experimental state I hope we keep getting the speed.

Yes, there may be ways to test this preliminary. What I would probably do if it was my project is make a test chain, take 20 nodes from your friends, put nine of them on simulated dial-up (or serial null connections), then put some ant miners on it to drag it down. Then times the network latency from something like that worst case scenario by about 25. If it doesn't break completely, even if it just runs at standard speeds, it might be something to look at further.

So far its working the thing is Proof of stake will always generate blocks and 1 block confirmation will have to be the fastest on proof of stake and so will be the confirmation from it.

I believe the bitcoin source itself is running on experimental state for now even banks are testing the codes and its source is already making its way to the banking system around the world.. But bitcoin source is a Gem the way its working is amazing That's why charlie thought of mixing its source into his own version which was not even his but tenebrix I believe source has to be good and reliable in long term I hope bitcoin diamond source gets it way to be great running for people using it I just dislike the concept of waiting when things can be tweaked why do we need so many coins All we need is a better bitcoin but not how its floating into the market. So far i have seen only few coins which has instant confirmations even then they are stuck or have bugs..
As this is the first official launch of bitcoin diamond lets see how they come up with their own version to brag about :)

So the target goal for a master node would be less than a 400-500 ms global ping i would imagine with a large enough stake to generate blocks. What is the stake to block generation ratio?

Am not much into segwit 2x or anything else as they do cause problems. The purpose of bitcoin diamond launch is to explore the code of satoshi that is precious Its a open sourcecode but so far satoshi has done its best and inspite of upcoming development the source of bitcoin still rules while ethereum has problems with their wallet.. Bitcoin source is so great that with a little tweak it can also do wonders also when added peercoin source to it.. Many upcoming developments are just ruled out and not a match for bitcoin's original source we still have not figured the tweaking mechanism behind bitcoin.. As there are still upcoming forks coming out and each one of them goes over thousands of dollars is the very same fork which we have here.
I launched it with a purpose of helping bitcoin users showing how cheap and easy it can be to have its fork.
Bitcoin Diamond here demonstrates that you dont need to pay hundreds to buy its forks and it also functions similar to bitcoin in a better way.
Lets hope we get this chain up and running fine.. and keep tweeting thanks  :)

what's the advantage of bitcoin diamond when compared with bitcoin, whether its fee is smaller or there are other advantages
sorry I do not understand about mining
The speed off course and the fees are very lowest 0.0001 On average transactions.

Are you going to give any coins to people who are holding Bitcoin in blockchain.indo. Just we have to mine through mining only, because many people are waiting for the fork when is the actual date for fork?

Am unsure about that.  Here Its ( BID Bitcoin Diamond ) they seem to be having proof of stake similar to what we have here and similar specs ( BCD ) Is sort of confusing on its specs.

There are a total of 22 billion coins in BCD (https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-gold-or-comedy-gold-bitcoin-diamond-launches-with-42-bln-coins) vs 4.6 billion coins in BID plus less supply at launch for BID and no announcement thread for BCD. Seems to be launched by a bunch of whales that are doing a pump and dump. Dev, I hope the community steps up and gives you all the support you need with this chain, new site, etc cause screw those guys.

The coins stopped mining at block 1000. POS only now. Pretty much only the alt coin miners that follow the anns to mine anything new got to it. It's super super limited supply by a lot of the new coin standards, but it's cheap on coinsmarkets.

That's the dev of BCD ( Bitcoin Diamond ) rushed to launch his coin he has no wallet supporting and has no ANN on bitcointalk as well Similar to what we have seen on BTG ( Bitcoin Gold ) where they released their wallet after 2 weeks of launch .. So its little confusing (here its BID - Bitcoin Diamond Launched on 22nd November)

And another thing ... I do not have a stable Internet and sometimes it turns off - it turns out I will lose my weight in relation to the network?

New coin, which is fully PoS (Proof-of-Stake) and based on Bitcoin - which is PoW only. I do not know why they have relationships as the ANN said.
Furthermore, 100% interest yearly sounds good. How to make sure that it will be paid correctly and how to keep the interest stable over years? Thank you.

What I want to know...

How did BCD get on yobit without a source tree on github? Pay to play?

There's one for BTD (earlier bitcoin diamond)

https://github.com/lozimski/bitcoindiamond

There's one for BID (this project)

https://github.com/Bitcoin-Diamond

and there's zero for BCD. Only two source trees exist searching "bitcoin diamond" on github, and that's these two.

If so, BCD is a closed source project if it even existed at all. They could do anything, create coins, lie, steal, whatever and we wouldn't know because we can't see the code.

Faster transactions and lower fees. Not a 1:1 fork of bitcoin as is, but a new blockchain that includes all the good bits from PPC and Zcoin.

the whole "team" of the project is one coder, one designer and one advertiser, all anonimous...
don't know how they can uprise such project, and why is has support from exchanges and news makers.
seems very strange for me

I learned about this out of nowhere when I saw the announcement on Binance.

As a POS version of Bitcoin, can you stake through Binance? I know it is uncommon, but they do something similar with NEO and providing monthly allocations of GAS.

I'd imagine these two altcoin 'Diamonds' are going to get a pump because people will think they are buying the forked coin..

With built over a period of several years using Peercoin's Proof-of-Stake and Bitcoin's Proof-of-Work consensus as a reference implementation, bringing an alternative codebase to the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

I just want to explain a little about why people have segwit enabled Due to their bad source coding when they have huge block size segwit compresses their block size to make it smaller by removing its signature from it but if the codes are well programmed to reduce the block size SEGWIT is not needed That's all segwit functions for. Therefore bitcoin needs Segwit and so it got implemented . We have overcome this and when the explorer is launched you would be able to see the blocksize really small which would be around 500 bytes or less that would significantly reduce the blockchain weight.
We have successfully overcome this in our bitcoin diamond wallet
We are also building new website With little flashy Look.

This is the only bitcoin diamond ( BID ) on the bitcointalk the one which they forked has no information on any thing like wallet etc its basically you buying an air without supply.

Its 4.6 Billion not 210 million The supply helps to distribute the coin better to cause less inflation as it offers 100% Pos interest with it so it benefits the users who are staking.

I hope this is an appropriate set of questions for your ANN thread, but I'm curious as ethOS GPU miner (currently mining ETH) dabbling with BTCG as it's also GPU mined, and I'm wondering as another GPU mined BTC fork, are there incentives to mine BID as opposed to the other newly hatched sibling BTCG? I noticed the 0 pool fees are predominate for BTCG currently abut haven't seen any competitive BID links?
 I'm aware that both of the BTC forks are less profitable than mining ETH at this time, but I'd like the education and I'm not opposed to trying to GPU mine BID if the pool infrastructure is available.
A quick look didn't turn up any results. Is there a BID mining pool/community starting? May I have a recommendation on a one if there are options?

What was stated is to better transactions and confirmation time, strengthen privacy, increase block size to 8. This is good and would help the new network.

Sound good with that though am having a wide eye on the total supply of 210M

You seem to be talking about the fork BCD on yobit and binance that was recently abandoned by the developers as they were found fraudulent.

I am staking since the beginning and your wallet works great. Do you plan to support this project further on? It's a lot work, if you want to be successful with your coin.

Maybe you should work with some 'freelancers' and offer them some bounties. I would start with a professional looking logo.

Great. Been focusing on android wallet so far Transactions haven't stuck like Bitcoin and network works like a charm sending and receiving is going great I'm happy to see first ever coin that happens to work great with just on 1 block confirmation And our network hasn't been hacked. if we can get some support from the people here on this project it would be great.

Thank you for clarification!
I think, moderator should add to the this thread name and to the description token symbol = BID. Becouse there too many confused people
BTW, This project starts but haven't any supporting and developing, so in my opinion will be better no more attention get to it.

some people already suggested rebranding and better marketing strategies to help this coin to gain more attention.
anything like diamond, gold, silver etc. in a coin name nowadays is more looking like a joke - not like a serious project.

this is a bad indicator, because it suggests that there is no activity on the part of the project. managers do not work, the team also. and then it becomes clear that the product also does not develop.

Which coin is this exactly? Because if I recall there were 2 different variations of Bitcoin Diamond.

Apparently BCD is rallying by 100% in the last 24 hours but the exchanges which accept deposits are having the price capped at $2 per coin while on Binance its at $20 per coin.

Since you get 10x ratio with BTC, it seems to be worth alot.

However anyone know why Binance allowed withdraws of this coin but not deposits? Any word if they will actually allow deposits?

Pretty ridiculous how you can't even find the official ANN for BCD.

Basically by Googling, all it leads to is this thread. And aside from a twitter account there isn't much info about the coin either.

Anybody know if there is an official ANN or at least some Discord, Slack or Telegram group?

Most likely nobody took this coin seriously until today when it got added to Binance.

Bitcoin Diamond BCD official website: https://btcd.io WeChat public number: BitcoinDiamond AAPOOL Mine Pool Chinese official website: https://aapool.cn

The AAPOOL pool uses the PPLNS+ mining distribution model, which is the closest to independent mining.

(According to the “block”, the new users are expected to see the proceeds after one day), and the long-term excavation (more than 15 days) is higher than the traditional PPS mode.

I went the same route a few months ago. No, there are no services like "broadcast your transaction" for BTCD.

Which full node client version are you using?

I had the problem you discribe (being stuck on ~90% blockchain download, the client would start showing 0 peer connections) with the particular version of the full node client (I don't recall the version number, though). Luckily to me, while I was growing more and more desperate with my failed attempts to redownload the full blockchain and failed attempts to find a transaction broadcast service, a new version was released which successfully synchronised (!).

So I encurage you  to download the newest version of the full node client and try again.

BCD prices are showing signs of recovery today and I believe that this rally is just beginning before the market enters the uptrend. Personally I am considering a new investment in this big project because its potential is very high and in the future it will be able to compete directly with all the top altcoin.

Hello Folks,

I'm trying to sync the blockchain.  I'm using the 1.2 client.  All was working just great until block 483150 and now it's completely stuck.  getpeerinfo=[].

Any clues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

In order to answer my prior mystery...

I don't understand wtf is going on 100% but I've found a few clues...

The bitcoindiamondd client is running inside a docker container.  I have discovered that:

given no other iptable forwarding rules...

iptables -P FORWARD ACCEPT makes everything work

- and -

iptables -P FORWARD DROP makes everything not work

So it looks like some forwarding is going on, and I'm going to guess that this has something to do with directing traffic to the docker container.

Now that I've got this figured out, I'm 100% synced :-)

Where can we trade BCD ?, since Yobit kicked the coin off it's echange I'm stuck with a whole bunch and have no use for BCD, and it would help if the exchange would allow US clients to trade on.
