Today Galaxy Investment Partners Founder Mike Novogratz said to Bloomberg: "Bitcoin is like gold, it has value because people say it has value".
He believes bitcoin ends a year at $10 000! Can you believe this?!

Yes it is achievable because the rate of bitcoin continues to increase and it's in demand. But for me bitcoin will end up just in $9800 below at the end of the year but maybe in january something maybe it will reach $10000.

I also think this as I believe the resistance will become more and more stronger as we approach the magic $10,000 level.

$10,000 is a major psychological price point and I think a lot of people who have been holding out until now will start to sell off some of their coins at or near $10,000 making going past it somewhat difficult. I think this will take a price staying somewhere in the $9K region until March of 2018 to overcome this resistance.

Once the price does breakthrough $10K though, look out as the next stop could easily be $20K sooner than you would think.

I believe we achieve the $10,000 before the end of this year because Mike Novogratz was not the first person to make such prediction and bitcoin usually  bullish during the end of every year/new year.

That is also actually my price speculation of Bitcoin that it will hit a 10K USD price before this year ends. People started to get noticed of bitcoin's significance and would probably convinced them to invest making it's value soaring high.

I do not think that Bitcoin will be able to reach $10000 mark by the end of this year. $9000 seems more realistic otherwise it will stay around $8500 or so.

When it comes to bitcoin price I will say it's very much unpredictable. There are sometimes very small issues that affects the bitcoin price to go down worth and lose it's value in thousand dollars, while sometimes many hurdles are tackled by bitcoin easily. We never know when and what is going to be a price loss and price gain timing. Currently it seems like bitcoin will continue uptrend growth.

Honestly speaking, I don't think that bitcoin will reach the $10,000 before the end of this year. It can be next year or on january, but before this year ends? I don't think so. We can't predict the future, we can't predict the value of bitcoin. So the best thing to do is to wait and be patient, also we should pray that bitcoin must go beyond and will gonna reach its peak.

I was analysing Bitcoin's hourly chart. It has just formed a death cross on hourly basis that indicates a correction to $7500-$7600 level. But Bitcoin has strong support at $8050-$8100. If Bitcoin breaks $8050 level, then a correction might take place. But that will be of short term. After that Bitcoin will recover and can easily make a $10k up to Christmas.

I think the $8400 can be reached in a week. If there is no attack from Bitcoin Cash, the price could be around $10,000.

Well, we cannot really say yet. Looking at the situation of things though and how many days we have left, that might be realistic enough. So far, Bitcoin is still finding it hard to break the resistance and if it does not break past the resistance line blocking us so far in some hours, we can still have a possibility of testing a little below $8000 which to me is a little drawback. However, that not withstanding, I am still very optimistic.

The way people are continually buying the dips, bitcoin might achieve $10,000 by the end of the year. But there will be a lot of profit taking at that point - loads of people have it as their benchmark for cashing out. So I doubt it would last.

Also, with the advent of CME futures in December, remember that futures allow people to go short as well as long. And true you can currently short on some exchanges, but this is peanuts compared to the money the CME will unleash.

Although the price looks great with the tendency for further rise we have to be aware of volatility and how market can easily change. It's not unlikely to see 10000$ by the end of the year if there will be no some disturbing factors but I'm more keen for the option that price will fluctuate between 8000$ and 8500$ and for 10000$ we coue wait next spring.

2018 is actually a year I am so eagerly waiting for. Based on what I have seen this year and so much news that is expected next year, I believe bitcoin really is going to have a lot of surprise in store for a whole lot of us. I hope I am right. This year though, I would not be surprised if we hit the $10000 all time high, but only time will tell.

Yes, I read that article about Mike Novogratz comments regarding bitcoin. It only makes sense because he is a well known investor on bitcoin that's why he remains to be bullish. But its early to speculate. We still have a full week before the end of the month. And we all know how unstable the price is. In matter of 12 to 24 hours something might happened that can turn the tide against us. And we still have the Bitcoin Cash threat. It will remain and I think that they are not done yet. They will mount another one and the question is when. Bitcoin cash is now pumping to $1400-$1500 so it looks like its being pump by who, we don't know. But your guess is as good as mine.

I think its better that we wait and watch that how its gonna go , whether bitcoin will reach 10000$ or not. Making predictions wont make any difference , so its better to wait for the end of the year. And also let this discussion be at a single topic , there are already many threads for this same topic.

if you look at the progress that is happening to bitcoin now i believe $ 10,000 will be on bitcoin before the end of the year, and this is a drastic improvement from bitcoin since it was launched in 2009 ago.
and our hope for all this progress will continue in the future.

I think yes it can even cross $10k within starting few days of december if the current buy pressure remain same for next few weeks. Bitcoin's price hasn't corrected much this year when it pumped from $1k to current $8k which shows there is strong buying pressure so $10k by end of this year is not over speculation.

Still have faith on this man? He's been quiet when there's a crash when bitcoin cash is pumping. Too much expectation will just hurt you, if I'm a newbie by the time he said that thing I'll be inspired and no doubt I'm going to invest in bitcoin, well he's McAfee a well known person in the world of technology, he created an anti-virus. This is the mentally that he thinks for the people that will believe with his words, waiting for his meal after 3 years.

Everything is possible in crypto markets. Obviously, behind this there's working some factor. The price is dictated by the market, the demand continuously increasing. So, comeback later end of 2018 and you could be wondered.

Speculating the price of BTC by year end depends entirely on the perspective.  If you are a hodler (like me), then $10K is absolutely achievable but the price would be very volatile at that level.  If you are buying into BTC then $10K looks less likely and attractive.  In terms of price discovery I always ask myself the question : "If I had the cash, would I buy BTC at this price?".  The honest answer at $8K is no.  I'll happily buy more at $5K.  Price has gone parabolic.   The big problem is that it's virtually impossible to time a bubble top and BTC will always undergo big corrections.

Bitcoin is better than gold in every way. Bitcoin might reach $10000 this year since we rise above the $8000 mark though in a long shot we will reach definitely. For me, the pricing at the end of the year would be between $8500-9200.

If I tell you that bitcoin will be worth $ 1,000,000 would you believe me? How are you going to who to trust and who not? Dozens of such posts and they all say the same thing. How much will the bitcoin so be it. No one can predict his behavior and no one can change that. You can get more useful.

Bitcoin is the fastest crypto currency to increase in digital currency, I agree that this year from $1000 to $8000 it means that your amount in bitcoin should be multiply to 8 times and it can possibly to be X10 on the following days or months. However I can't believe that it will happen this year.

Maybe in 2018, because in my sight bitcoin value reach now their maximum amount, hopefully I'm wrong because I also want to increase it more. That's why I'm looking forward and hold my bitcoin because  believe that it will increase again in the market more faster than before.

Ok that statement is not fully correct, well somehow I can say that it does works on the People's voice like whatever people say is the public demand but back 2009 there was no public demand even wants people are afraid to use Bitcoin because they think they are just going to be scam. But some people dare to use this new system and by observing them more people join the network. And soon we all join the network, nowadays we can see that Bitcoin is being developed largely and almost 60 to 70% of the world is using Bitcoin heavily or as their part time job

indeed nobody knows for sure about bitcoin but i believe if bitcoin will be able to reach the price $10.000 at the end of this year and i think it is quite realistic if we give a view of the progress of bitcoin that has contributed to the economic changes of each user for the better.

Price can never be predicted very accurately. There are some unforeseen factors that might badly affect the price of bitcoin. If everything stays fine without any issue, then we can expect the price to go up above $10,000 before this year ends. Just keep your fingers crossed!

We are optimistic and we really want that price but I think $10k is not far from happening within this year. Though it is reachable but because of limited time, it can't be. Possible by early 2018(1st quarter) have a huge chances. We must be keep positive and continue to spread the useful things that bitcoin can do.

I think this year bitcoin value was not reach $10,000 because bitcoin price now are seems steady to their current price of $8000, maybe next year 2018 bitcoin price was raise up but not so sure if their value achieve $10,000. Moreover, in the next year I’m looking forward to continue increasing of bitcoin in crypto currency market, I expect much higher price of bitcoin. For now I just want to hold my crypto currency in my wallet and reserved it until bitcoin value reach 15,000 dollars.

It seems I was exaggerated but I just fully trust that it will happen next year. As my basis if you see the Graph of bitcoin this 2017. Bitcoin has a great value and we have see that you should have hold what you have now in other to make good money in future. Bitcoin is going to get to $10,000 before end of this year and from there we can going to be heading to $15,000. With the all FUD in this year 2017 we have making significant progress.

I believe that the bitcoin price increase until the end of the year hopefully can reach up to $10,000, the more the number of requests on bitcoin so that it can increase in price, but when compared with gold, bitcoin is certainly much different because the movement of bitcoin prices faster changed than the value of gold.

Definitely, and that is one statement that is true. However, the good thing about bitcoin is that it actually has a value even without people having to say it. The increase in value anyway, is where the demand comes in.

If I say the value I want to sell mine is $100,000, as long as there is no one countering the value I want to sell mine, it will just have to be accepted that way. But what makes it last and going is the usefulness. 100k in 2018 though is something that sounds so unrealistic right now.

There is a possibility it will be reach. Many people are positive about bitcoin and we can see that base on the data given by some of the exchanges like coinbase in which after the announcement of CME about bitcoin futures, 100,000 new users registered in just a day then there is a demand for the coin. Bitcoin given its history is always surprising us and for it to reach five digits at the end of the year is still likely. If it will not be reach at the end of the year then there is still next year. $10,000 is a psychological resistance so maybe before it will reach $10,000, some would sell so it will go down before achieving again all-time high.

The time left in this year is about a month away. but we still have a great chance to see the price of Bitcoin reaching 10,000 $, according to my calculation the most rational rates are at the number 9,000 $. But anything can happen to Bitcoin, we can see a significant change in Bitcoin prices. Where did you see price above $9200 or you mean to say $8200? As we have not achieved the price of $9k in the history of bitcoins and if it gets there then it would be a new milestone to achieve and $10k price is surely possible to achieve in this year and almost all are positive and optimistic that bitcoin will achieve that price in this year itself.

 about your question mate we have no idea what will happened on bitcoin value in 2018. Cause its to hard to speculate now adays  because there are more interested  investor want to invest bitcoin because of its value a head than other currency. Maybe it will continue to climb unless there are no issued will made to make panic selling.

It looks like that we are getting closer and closer to 5 figures at the end of the year. Today bitcoin price suddenly surges ahead to $8600 and we are on the way to $9000 at the end of the month. If we hit $9000 before November, I have to doubt that $1000 is achievable in December. That's only about $1000, and bitcoin can easily achieved that. It can even be done in 1 day. As long as investors are very bullish, people willing to buy at premium price, no negative news around on the other hand, positive news all the way then I have no doubt that it will be a good year to end. I'm crossing my fingers and let's see how it will turn out before 2017 closes.

I saw the video and I do feel it can reach that high but I don't think his answer was very good about the "30 million hack". People who don't understand might think it is somehow related to bitcoin. The only reason there was a price movement because of the tether hack is because of a perception that it contributes to the value of bitcoin (which may be deemed false by current market sentiment). Also, Tether isn't a "trustless" cryptocurrency. You might as well be talking about dollars

To be completely honest bro, I never expected bitcoin will even hit $8000 in the beginning of this year and most of us hoped that at some point next year we will be lucky to get close. However, we are here now, which simply means I would not discard any possibility of bitcoin reaching $10000 before the end of the year. However, we cannot know, can we? Until it happens, so I guess we just have to keep our arms crossed.

Yeah, the growth seen this year in the bitcoin's price was enormous as it broked all the records and established the new heights. Now it is over 8500$ and still heading further. But now it wouldn't surprise me any further if it would make it to 10000$ before the year's end. Also, I believe it would be even greater than my expectation and will end the year with a higher value reaching up to the moon...

I hope it does when the price of bitcoin tend to reached by the end of the year then it could really mean the huge success of bitcoin remember if you have a good performance by the end of the year then you could carry until the very end. This would mean 15,000-20,000 price of bitcoin can be met or even exceeded by the first quarter of 2018. If there were to be a hard fork this december, then that would have a great impact on the price. It may create a huge surge or possibly a massive price drop. The growing number of investors may also contribute to a price increase by the end of the year, along with the positive news for bitcoin. Personally, I still think that reaching $10,000 may be a long shot despite all these factors contributing to a price increase.

Right. Looking at the little we have achieved within this month alone, despite all the craziness and some of the stunts pulled by Roger Ver, we are still doing very great at the moment. So I am very expectant of that $10000 which I believe is very possible. Some positive news can even stir it up faster than we can imagine right now and then that would make it even more awesome.

Now it's at $9607.11. As per coinmarketcap.com bitcoin has a hike of around $2k in just 26 days.  A massive growth. Can't even imagine. We even had a fall when hard fork occurred,. Bitcoincash gained much value and BTC fell down. This fork did not stop bitcoin growing. I am sure bitcoin would cross $10.05 end of 2017..

Hopefully it will. Bitcoin price as of now is at $9,520. And a little but more and it will already reach $10,000. While we still have 1 month for this year. I think bitcoin continue increase because of the huge demand in the market. Because a lot of investor are buying and holding bitcoin. In addition to that bitcoin are really improving now just in prive but for of this feature.

I am a Bitcoin true believer since the first time I saw it. However when price was around 7500$ just not a long time ago, I would never have said th price of one bitcoin would ever be 10 000$ before the end of the year. But still it seems we are so close to see it becoming a reality.
