I was trading BTC for Moneypaks yesterday and received this message: Quote Due to prior negative activity with PayPal or Green Dot you will no longer be able to fund this PayPal account using a MoneyPak. We will send you a refund for this MoneyPak. The following information is required to send your refund. Quote MoneyPak Refund Confirmation Your refund request has been received. Please allow 7-10 days for your refund check to arrive in the mail. Thank you for your interest in Green Dot. Your feedback is very important to us! We invite you to take a short survey now where you can share your thoughts about MoneyPak and let us know how we're doing. I thought the limit was reached on my account but I foolishly tried my friend's account on the same IP and got the same message (he's never loaded moneypaks before). How can I fix this? Title: Re: Green Dot Moneypaks and Paypal? Post by: dwolfman on June 28, 2013, 06:27:13 AM If they are tying it to your IP address, then you need to see if you can trigger an IP change from your ISP. Sometimes rebooting/resetting the modem will do that. Depends on the ISP. Mine has had the same IP address for over a year now. I've powered off the modem, reset it, etc and no change. But that could be different for yours.

Not just with bitcoin either. The Nigerians are using it and possible screwing it up for everyone else. Weird paypal is separating itself from a scam as it's a scam all in itself. |
