I've had a Bitcoin core wallet since 2013. I have the whole block chain on a custom path and I read on this tutorial: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/beginners-guide-claiming-your-bitcoin-cash-and-selling-it/ (https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/beginners-guide-claiming-your-bitcoin-cash-and-selling-it/) So I downloaded the Bitcoin ABC wallet and when executing it didn't prompted a dialog to select where to download the new block chain and started overwriting my bitcoin core blockchain >:( so I'm now in the process of restoring my blockchain.... But is it possible? Because I want to be sure it can work before downloading and synchronizing another >160 GBs for a new block chain Thank you in advance! |
