Title: BTS on Poloniex
Post by: JCM on November 23, 2017, 08:24:59 PM
Does anyone know how about BTS on Poloniex?
This announcement has been published for a few days:
"BTS is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the BTS team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling."
What kind of issues?
Annoying now that BTS has risen considerably in the last few days ....

So often in the exchanges, some coins block. But usually for a few days. BTS quite a while already hanging. I think this is for security.

Unfortunately, in most cases like this, poloniex doesn't share or clarify the exact problem but instead, they just put up a vague message  ::).

According to bitshares they did try to reach out on poloniex but they didn't respond.

November 14 Report:
Bitshares wallets at PoloniEX are in maintenance mode at the moment; Bitshares developers are in touch with PoloniEX to find out why this is the case and assist if required.

Novermber 22 Report:
PoloniEX's Bitshares wallet still disabled. Annemieke Dirkes reached out to PoloniEX's Tristan D'Agosta but at this stage the reason for the wallet being disabled are still unknown. See the announcement from the Bitshares Foundation HERE

These articles has also been posted on bitshares' official twitter account so i suppose its legit.

These are quite fascinating to think if these are for some security purpose or they are undergoing maintenance in their network, or the other scenario may be some their accounts are getting hacked or some else intervening in their system. One of the scenarios you can do here is make sure most of your deposits are on for withdrawal just to make sure sir.
