The high premine and dedicating the communities coin to rescue another community makes this a no no. Regardless of what your whitepaper states( personally i stopped caring cos 90% of the coins on cmc's whitepaper end up been all talk and no action) the community wants a fair launch and this is definitely not a fair launch.

I was a bit skeptical due to the name (can't really find anything related to castles in what you're trying to do), but honestly I like this idea. Yesterday I signed up, downloaded your wallet and... went crazy, because it crashed after few seconds of blocks sync...

No way to make it work, so today I restarted my PC with Windows 10 and tried again.

I've downloaded it again from Github but nothing... then... I've opened ZONEALARM (my firewall) and gave all permissions to qt-castle-exe and the other versions I have.

I've opened again the first version downloaded from the website and... now it seems working!

It synchronized over 20.000 blocks already, 21.000 remaining.

I strongly hope this time will work, and maybe my experience will help someone else.

so what is the purpose behind this airdrop ? if the wallet itself can not sync to the network ?

I liked to carry out assignments, well thought out. I read a poor book. I think if the team will stick to the road map, then they will succeed.

When I look at coins, I ask myself these questions.

• Does it have a loyal community? Check.  Give premine coins to community burned in old coin
• Does the project have a unique and useful purpose?  Check.  Optimize the airdrop experience for all.
• Have solid team?  Check.  Team previously built fort (hence castle name)
• Website, White Paper, Exchanges? Check, Check, Check
• Contact options? Check, active discord, telegram, twitter, facebook
• Contact team members as real people?  Check, twitter profiles on first page of ANN
• Active devs, Marketing team, support team, moderators, hiring? Check, check, check, check, check.  The support structure is there
• Visibility into the work being done?  Check. github and a TRELLO BOARD!
• Follow through with their promises?  Check, The first airdrop of RPT tokens happened as promised on time.  The second one concluded today.

So what are the drawbacks?  

• The wallet is buggy when syncing the first time.  
• The first airdrop was done manually, so the software still needs to be built.  
• Exchanges are a little on the weak side - I don't like stocks.exchange, and coins.markets is ?????

Up next?  More airdrops for the community, and masternodes!

This project looks promising and I just joined the 1 st airdrop. However, I don't know if I have received any coin because the wallet is always out of sync. Is there any solution to this? Having read all the replies in this thread, it seems that I am not the only one who has this problem, I think the dev team should face up to and fix this issue as soon as possible!

This is a really great idea. Airdrops will incentivize holding, which will lead to a stable masternode coin (not to mention exposure and enthusiasm for the airdropped coins). I hate that it's already out of my price range.

What operating system do you have on your computer? It can only work on Windows and you have Linux. Although of course, if it's honestly said, I also don’t believe that this project will give something too weak a development team as it seems to me.

Today I discovered that my wallet does not display the fresh coins that I bought on the exchange and sent to it (although the balance is reflected correctly in the explorer). I began to investigate this problem and was surprised to find that a new version 2.0.3 client was released in November, and I use version 1.0.0.0 (although I installed it in October). When I downloaded the new wallet and tried to replace the file wallet.dat with my old one, the new wallet did not start and reported that my file was corrupt! How can it be?! I have not seen anywhere on the forum announcements about the fork, the coin swap, the mandatory update, or even the replacement of the ticker! Why is this so ?! How can I launch my new wallet and not lose all my coins? :o

Fortunately, I solved my problem by importing a private key, so the question is canceled. But I still do not understand why there are no messages and announcements about this on the Bitcointalk forum. ???

I can't wait for 2019. I've been following Castle's Masternode count since early November. So many coins locked away so fast. Im sure many others are excited to see what 2019 holds for Castle

I am happy you found the solution. I have been watching this project since 2017. They have overcome so many problems and fought the whole way. Other projects have ICO and failed. This one did not even ICO and still fights to succeed. The team probably could improve on things, but given hardships and difficulties of a bear market, they have done really well with actually coming up with a real purpose for the coin. I would like to see CSTL have more purpose but excited about what Axioms is doing and I want Axiom token so I will accumulate as much CSTL is possible. It's a good sign to see them in a paperstreet vote!

This coin and platforms will be useful in a few months when this market goes away or maybe in 2020! It's interesting to keep an eye out here, because only projects with committed teams will have a chance of good things if the bull market arrives.
