Hey guys,

It's late November and we're finally able to buy 570/580s at a decent price in Europe, once again. I know these were the go to cards (along with the 470/480s) for ETH during the "crypto boom", but is it still worth to buy them today ?

Can you still get around 30mh/s with a 570 when you're mining ETH ?

Also, how does these cards do in late November 2017 with Monero, Z cash, Decred ? I guess my questions is "what else can you efficiently mine with a rx 570 ?"

Thanks for your help, a whole 6 cards rig is gonna be around $1900, I'd appreciate your feedback before I pull the trigger !

If the decent price you're talking about were the price before Month of May this year then I guess I'll be tempted to buy them.



it will depend on the card mem and bios mod, I have 580's and 480's easily do 30mhz, 570's will be as close to it.



in 580's and 480's they do well at Monero, 570's will also be do well for sure.

well monero and ethhash mostly zcash not that good for this card and i hardly think 570 gives 30 mh/s on eth right now you better make sure to get 580 to be sure.

Reaching 30 MH is still easily attainable but will all depend on your luck of the draw. Some cards have better memory chips than others, regardless of brand. If you are lucky enough to get a 570 with a samsung memory then you will most likely be able to reach 30 MH easily.

With regards to the outlook of GPU mining, i'd say its not too late to at least get ROI on anything you buy.

Regarding the prices, until tonight I can get Sapphire Nitro+ rx 570 4GB @£200 (which is around $260 or 220EUR).

This is the lowest price I've seen in a very long time, would you guy go for it at this price ?

Agreed, I just purchased some more rx 580.  Mine run around 28.  Looking for a better BIOS MOD to help the chips run faster

If possible, you may consider buying the 8Gb cards. Not sure though how much will that cost you. If you plan to mine longterm 6gb and 8gb will be the best option I think. Goodluck with modding the bios.

I have both rx 480s and 580s all 8gb gpus and mine zcash. also have NVidia gpus too

Just pulled the trigger on 580 4GB. I thought they were able to hash ETH at 30MH?

DAG file size should be able to fit the 4GB for a while..

That is good news there in Europe because that means that either the supply there is already stabilizing or the demand for the card is already subsiding. Here in our country the price of an RX570/RX580 is around $315 to $440 US along with the GTX 1060s. It is much more cheaper compared in the last few months where along with the GTX 1060s the RX 580s where around $480 to $550 Us or you cannot find it completely in any store so the only option is to export GPUs for other countries which is also hard.

Considering the fine wine technology of the AMD GPUs you will still be getting good performance per hash in the RX 570s considering that the devs and updates will benefit cryptocurrency mining. Reports of 1kh/s on cryptonight with RX480/580 mean its by far the most profitable algo to mine.

What would you consider a decent price for a rx 570 ?

I'm relly torn apart between investing directly into ICOs or building my mining rig. I really appreciate your input guys, thanks ! I'm gonna have a look at cryptonight, haven't heard much about it yet.

What sense to buy RX 570 for the price of $ 260? AMD VEGA the price is now about $ 500. Is a promising new GPU. Performs one of VEGA equal to two RX. Plus, the savings from the periphery. It seems to me that it's time to forget about what you were able to mine bitcoins on GPU... RX5 series.

Rx 570 it's a great card. I mean I have one rig with Hynix, 30mh/s in dual with Dcr at 750mh/s.
And the price of 1900$ for 6 cards is very good if you ask me.

Radeon cards are still profitable at ETH mining. Actually it's the best choice in comparison with Nvidia.

The problem is there here in the UK, the rx 570 is priced around £200 whereas the cheapest Vega is sold around £500. For 1 Vega card I can buy 2.5 rx 570.

There is no best buy, there never was, it's all about managing the risks and calculating the overall cost. With amd cards you're mostly stuck with eth and cryptonight, and right now they're doing very well, but no one knows how they'll be doing a few months from now. The advantage of nvidia cards is that they are efficient at many more algos. The question between "more of the smaller cards vs less of the powerful ones" also has no definite answer, it's mostly down to the price of the slot and the total number of cards you manage. There are just no simple answers to complex questions. None of the 5 cards in the list is a bad choice.

I agree. That is a nice lineup though. But I would advise you to have both Nvidia and Amd, but it's up to you and what you want to do.

It's not that bad, check skinflint.co.uk for UK prices or geizhals.eu for Euro prices. In stock 570's are around €340+, but Stak.com have them around £200 if you want to wait for their shipment to come in, if it ever does!
