Title: Charged an extra 66% on my transaction
Post by: CryptoMania717 on November 27, 2017, 12:51:39 AM
I'm new to electrum and just transferred my bitcoins over. As I don't have that much capital, every little bit matters. When sending over €30 (around 0.003 bitcoin) to an exchange, a total of €49.50 came out of my wallet. Whilst I know to many of you this volume of cash is not significant, the overall percentage is.

As for the fees, I just went with the standard option which surely cannot equate to this additional cost of €20. Apparently the 2FA comes at a price, which is fair enough, although I have been charged nowhere near this any other time I have used it.

I was just wanting to know what has happened here and what can be done about it. Any comments will be appreciated greatly.

If that is the first time you've used the 2FA to send... based on the amounts you have specified, I would guess that you have just prepaid for 20 (0.0002 btc) 2FA credits as per TrustedCoins current charges: https://api.trustedcoin.com/#/electrum-help

Pay every 20 transactions:      0.0001 BTC/tx        0.002 BTC total
Pay every 100 transactions:   0.00005 BTC/tx        0.005 BTC total

If you click the little blue shield in the bottom right corner, you'll see how many credits you now have remaining. Your next lot of 2FA transactions (equal to the number of credits you have) will be not cost extra until you run out of credits and need to prepay again.
