Title: New Arbitrage Strategy
Post by: bitcoinconnection on June 30, 2011, 10:25:57 PM
The play is between Bitcoin7 and TradeHill or MTGox. Bitcoin7 volume is low which means you can not buy cheap BTCs all at one time. So, the new strategy is to accumulate BTCs from Bitcoin7 over a few days between 14.5 and 15. Now follow the procedures below.

Referral links should be forbidden on this forum. This makes the advises totally unreliable.

That is why God gave you brains.
Analyze the information and ponder later.

edit: Btw, I was already doing it and I don't think that exposing this publicly will be any good for us.

It's not arbitrage if you have to hold onto the funds for any length of time.  You're projecting that B7 will remain lower than TH in the time you hold.

What about this scenario?  You buy BTC at B7.  Prices drop at both exchanges and TH drops more.

You're assuming that isn't going to happen, and the risk that it will happen is a counterbalance to your "arbitrage" profits.

I only base this on the $2-3 price spread between B7 and TH over the pass 4 days. Following the model above, at point you will have an arbitrage condition. The first series of trades at B7 act as a leverage to the final trade. This is because of the low volume of B7.

It's like some totally NEW SHIT I never even knew existed, so I invented dat shit yo.
It was ME!!

sure, buy low, sell higher, transfer repeat.

Those of us quietly doing that don't need all of the margins squeezed out of all the markets by people shouting about it - that would be no fun.

Thanks to trade fees, and no fee trading on MTgox, margins are pretty much already gone.
