why altcoins prices rapidly going down now

In simple words : traders and whales are taking out profit.
In complex terms : current correction might fuel another round of dump all over crypto market.

Its better to make early exit.

For the simple explaining is because of the price of bitcoin is going down, so all of the alternative coins follow the bitcoin's price too, we know that the bitcoin is main digital coins, it is first digit coin in the world be used for price reference to all of the alternative coins. For the complex explain about the alternative coins price is going down, it depending on the aspects of fundamental alternative coins due to right now not all of alternative coins are going down, we can see dashcoin is up trend although the price of bitcoin is down, don't be fear the price will be going up again.

The prices will go up again.. the prices fluctuate every so often and they all seem to follow certain patterns.

But the coins shall come back more powerful with stronger prices. It might just take a little bit of time again.

Soon it will go up again,., dont just dump your altcoins that thinking it is just a shitcoins. What if sooner or later the value went up.

It's simple, if the whales took their profit (DUMP), they will re-invest and the coins will start the pumping procedure again.
It's a cycle, what goes up, must come down and then go up again.

The cost of altcoin will only grow. People need to earn and they will move the price up.
Buy some coins for long time and you will win (profit).

Alts actually grow.But much slower then bitcoin.
And alts lose value in BTC too....so for me since may was much more profitable to hold BTC unfortunately.

Yes your point is valid "Its better to make early exit" because everyday i am waiting for some good thing to happen in my altcoin portfolio but everyday its going even worse thinking to sell all my holding and take rest for some time.

Because traders want Christmas, they need to make profits and buy everything in their lives, they started a massive sell-off and this happened last year, so it is no accident.

Yes the coins are dropped quickly but I think the amount of coins will not go down shortly afterwards its price will rise again and I think it will be much stronger.

They definitely are going to. What is happening right now is normal in the market. BTC is taking a huge correction at the moment, so you should expect a lot of traders and whales trying to take their profits. In case like this, Alts normally have it bad as well as they really get dump for traders to move in to the quick show to cash in on another upward movement on bitcoin until everything gets stable for a while.

Yeah, we shouldn't be afraid though almost everything is turning red today, all prices will go up soon again, but which we don't know when? I cash out some of my bitcoin because I want to buy something important, and I'm lucky I cash it out at more higher rate and I can tell it is one good decision. But I still left more of my bitcoin because I believe bitcoin price will soon go to $12,000. Just guessing!  ;D

If all people invest in altcoins and hold it,. and that altcoin has limited stock, im sure the price will grow rapidly.

Maybe more attention is on bitcoin considering it present price hike and probably investors are selling off there coins and spent their money on other things.

it is because of bitcoin price increases so it makes altcoin price going down. but after bitcoin price down then the time for altcoin will come and we can see the price will increase again. don't too worried about altcoin price now because it will rise back so we can sell at the high price. but I am sure that another altcoin trying to increase although bitcoin price increases too.

whats a altcoin the price down? , if counting with usd some altcoins no decreased significantly. if you looking price with small value btc , this is more lucky to sell altcoin with calculated ubtc.

they are getting dumped mostly. as bitcoin rises it is like a needle that pops all their bubbles with a single move. and traders know this already so they act faster and cash out before the bubbles burst.
afterwards as the drops start and prices come down the second step of dumping starts by the newbies who were bag holding and are not scared so they dump and crash the prices further down.

It caused by a lot of people are cashing out all of their altcoin and then move into the bitcoin. this make those don't care about how much they are selling their altcoin to get the bitcoin and then dump it to the market.

Prices of some altcoins are growing and some are falling. I don't see any problems here now really good oportunity for trading profit from altcoins.

Right now all alts will go down because of bigger traders and whales spot that Bitcoin price has a momentum and it will increase, so they taking this opportunity and quick sell all alts they can. Most of the time is related BTC (up) - ALTS (down), sell quickly you portfolio and buy BTC, in other words, catch the train when price is still rising, this will cause alts price to drop and will help Bitcoin price rise as well, once Bitcoin price is significantly higher (enough profit - dump) sell BTC on first sign it will drop in value and enjoy profit!

There is a possibility that now the altcoin will fall to the bottom again. Bitcoin goes to correction and this will lead to the fact that many altcoins will fall. It is difficult to trade under these conditions

Once again it is stupid bitcoin. I get so tired of bitcoin hurting alts and ruining communities because everyone is chasing the money. I hope that one day we can make alts what they really are which is alternate to bitcoin. They should be separate and then we dont need to worry about what dumb stuff bitcoin does.

Just relax, its only going down because bitcoin is correcting. With the sudden correction of bitcoin, altcoin prices were not given enough time to be able to adjust to the new Bitcoin value essentially making them valued cheaper than ever. However, this is just temporary and once people start moving money into alts again this will surely rise.

All coins are exchange with Bitcoin so its normal that all price went down because of decreasing of bitcoin price, be patinet it ll go up as soon as..

Sometimes a good altcoin will take some time and effort to be supported by a lot of people in our community but due to rapidly releasing of new altcoins every now and then. People will less to support to a too good to be true altcoin when it is pumping too fast it will dump faster too.

Yes, that's how it goes basically. When altcoin traders see's that its more lucrative to trade bitcoin, then its bound to happened. I think around last month we have seen this phenomena, altcoins traders suddenly shift to bitcoin because the price of bitcoin is going up. And then we see a sudden drop of bitcoin and altcoin market flourished. This is just expected and normal as traders go look for better opportunities to earn. But there are times that both market is all green. This is an indication that new traders are coming into the picture and buying both bitcoins and altcoins.

Most of the holder sell their coins for safe their asset and I do it same because who wanna loss? Nobody, in trade you will made good decision in every situation.

in my opinion, one factor of falling altcoin prices is due to the high price of bitcoin. as well as many new coins that appear can be a competitor for the coins that exist today. so the price will not be so stable.

I think all altcoins is go down right because of bigger traders bitcoin price,

I do not notice alt coin prices going down dramatically, just the usual volatility to be truthful, the prices seem to fluctuate within a range of about 20% each week unless there is something major happening.

Agreed, thats valuable advice, this seems really to be the case when looking at historical charts. Im excited where we are heading in 2018. We might soon see a huge bull run on alts starting, when Bitcoin undergoes a correction, there will be many people that want to take their profits to alts and make their prices go up.

I think the rise and fall of bitcoin affect price the most.

If this is the case when we have to wait till around Q2 and see if alts will make a rally. And agreed that historically, I' say March-July is the month where all the alts are very strong. Maybe it coincides with the rising ICO this year or another factors. But one thing's for sure that alts will have another massive bull run next year.

So this is a perfect opportunity to get alts, because they are all down or somewhat cheap because all investors are interested in getting bitcoin now. So my friendly advise is to buy today and just hold for the next 6 months.

I think the altcoin harvest is getting down due to the altcoin displacement, so the price is down and the decrease of altcoin enthusiasts is now moving to eth, especially now the eth price is starting to keep rising, causing the altcoin price to decrease.

Maybe Prices will rise again .. prices vary so often and they all seem to follow Altcoin's ride back.

This question is obsolete now after looking at the rates of the bitcoin and the alt coins too. This is history changer whee alt coins are increase altogether with the bitcoin and we might just even better world in the year 2018. Who thought that the pattern where alts and bitcoins use to go up and down in the reverse direction always will go in the same direction and that is too so faster.

The only lesson we should take from this scenario is never sell your coins until you earn 10X - 100X profits from each of them. If you loose your faith early with the time then you are as good as dead. LOlz. I mean I have done such mistakes earlier and now I can see myself that holding works.

All prices for altcoins are reduced because of bitcoin. As soon as bitcoin starts storming, everyone quickly jumps out of altcoyins and jumps into bitcoin or to fiat. As soon as bitcoin becomes flat, everyone returns to altcoyins, but not so quickly.

Well, I think that we are now already in the bullmarket of alts, but it very likely is to get way more bullish in the next weeks or even months. We might see another run on alts as in the first months in 2017. I certainly believe that people soon will start to realize their Bitcoin profits and then its likely that they will buy altcoins. Altcoins price now are starting to growing up, if you have account in trading exchange, you can notice that most of the altcoins are in color green. It means that most of the altcoins value are increasing trends. Other than that I believe to the potential of more coins I know that someday it raised up like bitcoin. Ethereum is one of the good example I guess their price taking up the $500 price.

exactly we see and know that every movement that happen in bitcoin there is always some movement also i some altcoin better to make some analysis and also try to see the difference of this two yes we all know that bitcoin is the father of all and we are looked it for and depends on it.

I think the price is altcoin can be dropped or even ride it because of the many bitcoin released by the holder of the bitcoin to make the price altcoin be down. and vice versa a price increase that will also affect bitcoin altcoin but not all altcoin successfully developed only options are a success in the project.
