Hi

Lots of problems reported with 6990 series cards...

6990 = 800 Mhash/s and you want $999 for each...

5830 = 300 Mhash/s and you can get them for way cheaper...just bought one today retail.

difficulty is almost 2 million....lmao...

a fool and his money are soon parted.

Hi

There is some benefit to having a 6990 over 3 5830s, the biggest being it fits in a single pci-e slot

That being said, I don't consider them worth $999...  If you are willing to take 45 BTC each, I'll take 2

Agreed, Many benefits to be had by running 6990 vs 5830's but it's not worth paying the extra, Retail is pricey enough
and those "problems" your talking about dont exsist anymore, The worst you'll get is a crappy oc card that only give 760Mh/s that runs hot (95°)
where as shappires sometimes cant even push 25mhz past stock on core

In your opinion then, which brand of 6990 allows for best OC?
XFX?

From what I've read and heard, Sapphire is one of the better 6990 cards out there... no?
 ???

Suggest you take your discussion to your own thread and leave the OP on topic, a seller's thread isn't the place to debate the pricing they set nor the alternatives.

Hi

Hi : please research market rates before thread crapping.  Goto ebay and do a search on completed auctions for 6990's.  They've been selling for upwards of $1300.  A huge benefit of the 6990 is simply condensing mining gear.  I have 8 5830's running, but have to have them spread across 2 mobo's and then 1 in a stand alone system.

I still enjoy my 5830's, as my 4x5830 system was maybe $700 total and gets 1GH without oc'ing the cards to their max.

Hi

I think it is stupid to pay $999 from a scalper. Why reinforce the behavior.  6990 for mining is utterly stupid now as it will not pay itself off for quite some time.

Nothing wrong in letting n00bs know that they are getting suckered.

Hi

Hi

I have no part in this but I need to weigh in because of the very poor etiquette being shown by some of the members.

You THINK it's stupid, that's your opinion and it belongs in a thread you create or contribute to that is focused on the topic, not on a goods thread. You are attempting to "protect" a "n00b" as you put it that wants a 6990 for one reason or another and needs to pay to get it, that's not your problem and constructive feedback on the alternatives belongs in other topics.

Padrino,

bitcoin is based on decentralized use whereas no one controls it.

There is no bad etiquette because bitcoin is about freedom.  I am freely providing n00bs with an educated opinion that suggest they avoid this would be scalper low life scum bag.

Even with freedom,  there is still plenty of bad etiquette.  You are just free to have those bad manners.
So far I don't find any of the posts in this thread rude though.

A few things I do think people are overlooking:

1.  This card will take a long time to pay off at the CURRENT exchange rate and difficulty,  but if bitcoins jump up in value again,  you can have it paid off much faster.  (When I first started mining,  I calculated that my gear would take about 80 to 90 days to pay off.  In reality it took about 35.  This could very well happen again, and I honestly expect it is likely as more and more businesses begin using bitcoins)

2. If you buy one of these cards,   not only do you get bitcoins while it is mining,  but you have one of the very best gaming cards on the market that you can get entertainment from any time you want.  If you only buy bitcoins,  it is harder to play a video game with them.

Good luck with bitcoins and video games!

Hi

6990 cards are very fine for mining, if you don't like it, don't buy it. Also the price seems kinda fine to me.

Your childish behave is not welcome here.

Also remember that the 6990 has just about the best MHash/watt ratio of any available card. If you have to pay for your own electricity, and most people do, then the 6990 is much more cost-effective over the long term.

I'm confused.

You said you have new ones for 999 and used ones for 949 but on the webpage it says:

"Description:
Slightly used HD6990 Video Card. Not Only Great For HD Gaming And Video, but it Improves speed Of Bitcoin Mining!"

So please clarify, are they used or new?

My definition of new is "not put on the motherboard yet"

Also, please clarify how old they are? How many months were they in use?

Thanks!

To Clarifiy,

I have 3 BRAND NEW HD6990 video cards for sale.
New means that the box has never been opened,  and they have never been inserted into a mother board.

I ALSO have about 5 used HD6990 cards.
They have been in use mining for about 2 months now.
They are in fine condition without any problems, and we still have just about all the original boxes/manuals accessories etc.

To clarify,  I want to be paid in Bitcoins.
I am NOT interested in cash, credit cards or bank wire transfers.

Please contact me at roge@memorydealers.com if you are interested.

i wish i had the money for your cards.

so you're buying the cards without paying VAT (so ~10% off) and you sell them for ~150% without paying any taxes for your income (you want btc instead of $). nice. at least go pay your taxes imo.

All three sellers are 100% feedback.

All three customers could pay with CC and get 2% ebay bucks back and a credit card reward if they had one.

I would pay $720 in BTC for one of the used cards that had box and all parts.
