lets say i have a bitcoinwallet where i received 0.1btc before august first, so now i have 0.1btc and 0.1 bch on that wallet. Could i just send more BCH to that same BTC wallet or do i have to create a new BCH wallet since the chain forked? Can i create BCH and BTC Wallets on http://bitaddress.org/ or is there a different provider for BCH paperwallets? Thankyou Title: Re: Bcash same wallet like btc? Post by: BitcoinHodler on December 03, 2017, 12:18:52 PM to this day bitcoin and bitcoin cash use the same address format and will always support it in case they add a new format. so if you have a private key to some bitcoin address you can use it for bitcoin cash. and yes you can use bitcoin wallets or tools like bitaddress.org to generate these keys and use them for BCH and BTC the same way.
but remember not to use it on both chains. meaning if you have a key only use it for either bitcoin or bitcoin cash not both. Title: Re: Bcash same wallet like btc? do u mean that i should not use that old wallet to receive bch and btc? |
