Title: Moving to Canada Post by: gabrielabia on December 04, 2017, 12:06:29 PM Hello all,
I am currently living in Brazil and planning to move on 1Q2018 to Canada. As in Canada there are BTCs ATMs, can someone tells me if it is better to exchange my BRLs to BTCs instead of CADs? Thanks! Gabriela Hello If you'll hold for several months it is better to buy btc, it will raise in price. As option, you can order a crypto-debit cart and pay with it. So, you will be holding and paying with BTC. There are several services at the moment, but I cannot recommend any of them as did not have experience with it. Maybe someone from forum can advise what to choose Title: Re: Moving to Canada Post by: gabrielabia on December 04, 2017, 02:12:50 PM Hi sabbathhawk,
thanks for the reply. As I am still in Brazil, I wonder if I can get crypto-debit cart here (as long as I know, not a single exchange company allows Brazilian citizens to have one - I have confirmation in Xapo, for example). I have to research if it is possible to have these cards in Canada without being a citizen... If someone in Canada is reading this, could you kind comment, please? Canadians cannot get crypto debit cards from xapo and most other companies will deny you a card as well. We do however, have several BTC atm's. There are 4 within a 1 hour drive of where I live. There's got to be Local-bitcoin in Canada, isn't there?. Check the exchange rate between your local Brazil exchange and one you could use in Canada. Whom ever has the best rate should be the one you use. However you'd also have to exchange your reals for CAD. Don't bother with the ATMs, their exchange rates are really, really awful. They aren't even close to competitive and the convenience isn't worth it. Title: Re: Moving to Canada Post by: ZCoinTalk on December 04, 2017, 09:52:05 PM BTC ATMs sounds nice. Do they have those in other countries as well?

Which country is that?Indonesia is the last one I have heard of doing this so even btc atms will be impossible to find there. Ecuador and I think a middle eastern country was the other ones I am thinking of them doing this since the very start. You are probably better off signing up with a Canada-facing exchange like Bitstamp or QuadrigaCX once you establish residency there. |
