We've just launched a great new website called BitcoinPeople (http://www.BitcoinPeople.online).

It's a free to use directory showcasing all the businesses that accept Bitcoin as a method of payment.

Great for companies to advertise themselves on and a super easy way for customers to find somewhere to spend their hard earned Bitcoins.

The website has only just been launched so there are only a tiny amount of businesses featured on there at the minute. Therefore if you own (or know someone who owns) a business please visit BitcoinPeople (http://www.BitcoinPeople.online) and upload your listing!

hello, your site could be very useful for UK citizens but it has only a few businesses: add more activities your-self! do some research, you will find a lot of shops accepting bitcoins. one advice, in the homepage of the site don't advertise sites with a bad design. you should add a live chat in your site, it would be useful for people who can ask: "hii! where can I eat a good cheeseburger?" and your answer will advertise a special fast food which pay you for the ad!

I think that the section Crypto Prices is useless: you are a BITCOIN site. not a crypto site. last advice, improve your bar menu! it's bad designed.

Okay that is a very interesting initiative you have undertaken with this project. What are the plans you are actually taking place for the future perspectives? I mean there has got to be some sort of plan for profiting yourself by providing paid services to search the business, may be premium one? I’m asking because I’m looking at this business nature in terms of services offered like those of yellow pages etc.

This is going to be interesting as it will make it easier for crypto lovers to access the business with bitcoin payment processor easily. It will succeed surely after getting huge number of listings. Also, why you guys stressing more on Uk based business, why not include Asians business as well. :-)

We're concentrating at the minute at building a community and spreading the word that we're a free service to use.

The site was not solely setup as a revenue stream in mind but to create a great service for both, businesses who accept Bitcoin and for customers to easily find places to spend Bitcoin. There are a few sites out there, but we felt they are not user friendly or very eye catching.

We have a few ad placements for revenue (eventually) and users can pay a small fee to feature their listing at the top of the homepage and category pages. We also have a few ideas to better listing placements.

As we are based in the UK we decided to concentrate on UK businesses. Perhaps we will expand eventually to provide worldwide listings.

I'm in the UK, and I accept Bitcoin in payment for domain names. You don't seem to have a category for that. One major use for Bitcoin is the purchase of virtual assets like domain names.

I'm considering accepting Bitcoin cash and some other cryptos as well as Bitcoin btw.

A bitcoin/dollar price conversion facility is useful, as domain names tend to be quoted in dollars even when Bitcoin is an acceptable method of payment.

Given the potential of bitcoin, opening a business that accepts bitcoin as a payment is a good idea, like a bar that accepted bitcoin a few years ago, if the owner has kept them he could be a millionaire

Thanks, I need to sort out a more professional site if I'm going to start joining sites like yours. I'll use the brand name with my Baronets.com domain. I've got a lot of supporting sites, but that domain has a trivial holding page at the moment.

With regards to web services - I don't bother listing under that type of category. It tends to be full of hosting, domain name registrars, web designers and SEO "experts". Domain name investing is a completely different world, and it can take years to sell a name for the right price.

I'll try to sort out Baronets over Christmas, and I'll come back to you.

Hi, no special criteria at all. We have been basing this on the UK businesses at the minute as we are based in the UK and felt there wasn't any great website that whose businesses. However we do have plans next year to broaden this to the rest of the world.

What we really need are good up-to-date indexed pages (similar to tellow pages) to businesses that do accept Bitcoins.

There are some iniciatives such as those referenced on this thread and CoinMap.  Coinmap nevertheless seems very outdated and unclear.

Recently I saw somebody in a local country thread asking for places a list of places to buy with bitcoins, and no one could come up with a good answer. It's like having a credit card and being in the blue as to where you can actually use it.

That's quite a good idea. I know of several cities where the use of Bitcoin (bitcoin acceptance in shops) is higher than average due to local Bitcoin evangelists.

You know what will make this project even more impressive? Get those merchants and businesses to offer discounts to people who use Bitcoin as a payment option, over other payment options. If the customer wants to buy something and he/she sees that they would be paying less, when they use Bitcoin, then they will rather switch to Bitcoin.

We should have some sort of incentive scheme for people to pay with Bitcoin.  ???

wow, very interesting, I see it is not perfect, what if the app content does not only show companies that receive bitcoin as a means of payment, but also provide information about the development of crypto world, but more specifically about the graph.

or it could be equipped with a technical ordering feature that receives bitcoin, such as a hotel that receives bitcoin and we can order directly with the application.

Congrats and good luck with your new venture. It seems that you have received a bit of constructive criticism already as far a design and appeal. I would add that if you were going to focus primarily on the UK, changing the name accordingly would help solidify your base. And as far as you profiting in the end you need to drive a lot of traffic as a  trusted directory. That would include a more dynamic categories, and further engagement of your BTC spenders as a community, making events, discounts, giveaways, educational features, news, & ect… this would definitely lead to strong following.

It's too early to talk about mass selling for Bitcoin for business. You can certainly sell cars or something else worth a few thousand dollars.

How luckky u are guys, in my country we waa banned to paying some stuff using bitcoin we are not allowed using bitcoin as payment methode, have business uaing bitcoin as payment is profitable i think. I hope my country was renewing the rule than allowed bitcoin too

 it's good idea for you to start doing it with Bitcoin in that way, but you must do some social work to apply it better

.but there are some business like online shopping which accepts the currency of bitcoin as a payment in their selling items.

I currently have not but I am working on it and very soon I am going to launch a workshop where many students can join and work with us to make their future efficient. Anyway, I don't think students should focus more on the present instead of their future and I am going to provide many practical examples and logical with everything. And Yes, It will accept both Bitcoin and Altcoins as payments. I am actually trusting cryptocurrencies rather than cc because I have seen the deep web.

if on your country that you have been living for they dont have any business or company accepts well there is some other country that made to be bitcoin special like they treat it like fiat currency or more than that cause they know how is bitcoin beneficial for.

So far, I only accept payments in my business using fiat money. In my country, Indonesia, bitcoin is prohibited for transactions and many people in my country are not familiar with bitcoin. Let alone know bitcoin, have a computer or access the internet just not everyone can. This is what makes me not sure that payments using bitcoin in my country can be effective. Besides that, the fluctuating bitcoin price makes me hesitate to accept payment with bitcoin. I prefer to take a safe situation rather than risking my business profits at this unstable price.

I had a bussiness a few years ago in where i used to accept bitcoin as a payment method, it was not very famous, i was only receiving a few payments on a weekly basis of bitcoins, but then i stoped with it and now i do not have any bussiness.

I won't start a business accepting bitcoin since it is still volatile and it can ruin my profits in fiat. I better do it once the bitcoin price is stable and once the maximum circulating supply is reached. It can be an alternative payment but not a main payment since fiat money is still the once used in most business.

I have a friend, she is a realtor and she sells apartments for bitcoin! Today the card store for receiving a crypto currency is constantly increasing! a lot of big companies like bmw, sony, samsung, audi and so on - are starting to accept crypto coins for payment for their product!
