Satori Coin has come out with a restocked inventory and a bunch of the freshly made Coins/Chips that we all know and love. Since they don't ship to USA I figured I'd make this Groupbuy to help out people in the States that wants these as well as people in EU or the rest of the world that would like to get costs down a little bit and without the hassle of ordering!

What are Satori coins:

Satori Coins are actually chips made in Japan that are loaded with 0.001BTC and every HF coin after October 2017. It is made out of plastic, weighs 11.5 grams and measures 40 mm in diameter. It feels high quality as those of you who have held any knows.

How will you order them:

Once this GB has been completed I will place an order with SatoriCoin and have them deliver the goods to me where I will start shipping out to the people that participated. For people in USA I will team up with MEDS and send him a large shipment (assuming a lot of people from US orders these) where he will then reship it to you. For people in the rest of the world I'll ship directly from me.

Payment, order limits & costs:

As the price per coin changes depending on the size of your order we'll have the final price when we are ready to place the order. I will not accept payments straight away as the $ price per BTC can fluctuate and it could leave me in a bad spot.  I'll list some examples in todays rates below:
250 coins (10 rolls) - $475.925/ roll.
1000 coins (40 rolls) - $455.45/ roll.           Won't bother trying to update these as they change hourly depending on where BTC is going :D.
2500 coins (100 rolls) - $435.875/ roll.
3000 coins (120 rolls) - $435.65/ roll.

This means that after about a week when we can see how many rolls we will order I'll get the final price and every participant will pay the same price per roll, even if they order 1 roll or 15 rolls.
So after 3000 coins there's not really any change, and I'm not even sure we'd be able to fill that large of an order but it would be cool if we did. Again, this is the price as of now and it is subject to change once we place the order.

I was also thinking that I'd like people to order a minimum of 1 rolls to take part in this Groupbuy. I do not have any maximum number of rolls you can order.
Considering this could be somewhat time consuming and keeping track of everything may take some time I'll ask for people to add a fee once sending over funds for their rolls. I have made this a set fee of 0.01BTC regardless if you buy 1 roll or 100 rolls. This is not to make a profit but to finance the time I'll spend on it all.
I will gauge interested here and keep an updated list of the interested parties in the first post of this thread. I'll leave it open for 7 days until next Monday and will place the order monday night. I urge everyone to have the payment ready by then so that we can fill the order without issues. If someone has not sent their funds on Monday they'll be removed and will not have a chance to receive their rolls.

I will also keep you guys updated with the current price according to number of rolls people want in the first post.
I ask you to only pay my fee and the cost of goods on Monday and wait until I have the coins in hand to figure out shipping costs as it will depend on weight and location.

It seems like they increased there prices because on Jan 10th 2017 they where 4.95$ each including shipping and now it is about $7.5 just for the chip before you include the BTC on it

I guess it depends on the amount of coins ordered. If we'd be able to order 3000 coins here the price per coin without the loaded BTC of todays value would be just under $6. That does not include BTG or other forked coins on it.. So it's not too bad IMO. But yeah, maybe they did increase price a bit, I still think they are definitely worth that :D.

Considering rolls have been selling here on the forum for over $1200 each this is a bargain haha.

I'm afraid that the 0.01 fee does not include shipping, considering the shipping costs will be different for everyone depending on the size of their order and amount of rolls they are ordering. It does however include the best shipping materials I can find so that won't be added to the shipping costs that will be paid once I've received the order :). It also allows me to buy something nice for MJ for helping out!

Looks like the best discount occurs at the 100 roll mark.  My recommendation would be to leave it open a few more days or until we hit 100 rolls (whichever comes first), but obviously it's your call.

BTW thank you for doing this!

I've been approached by a user that would like to remain anonymous that has committed to filling us up to 100 rolls since that is what we are currently aiming for.

So I've decided to put a deadline for Thursday night this week and making the order on Friday. This means that all orders will be locked in on Thursday and this buyer will fill the gap between where we are and the 100 rolls. If we are already at 100 rolls this user will take a number of them above that and I will disclose this number in here.

So if you want to take part in this to guarantee a few rolls for yourself, get in now :D.

IMO the satori coins or any other affordable chips with a low premium are some of the best investments you can make! Just look at how the old satori coins increased in price :). I love them and here is a nice pic:

Sorry Hhampuz, but I didn't noticed that you'll be charging a handling fee of 0.01BTC, so I'm out. I like you man, but the price of a single roll is already quite high without the shipping-, VAT- and import costs, so I really can't justify paying another $130 on top of that.

Estimated shipping costs should land on, for US buyers, between $15-20. I'll ship all US rolls to mj and he'll reship them. 14 days prior to Xmas will not happen I can say that much, my packages to mj usually take 5-7 days on a good month and within US I can't tell you how long it takes. Last time I ordered from satori it took around 8-10 days for package to be in my hands.

EDIT: I'm currently looking in to trying and get Satori send the rolls to me using FedEx overnight or UPS overnight shipping since we are ordering for a hefty amount. Will keep you guys posted on it :).

@mitchell i thought you meant vat and import taxes from me to you, in which case there'll be none.

Edited post above by stating I'll try and get us priority overnight shipping from Japan and I'll keep you all posted on it :). Hopefully if everything goes extremely smooth it could happen, but I don't want to make promises I can't keep so please don't count on having them within 14 days.

I can't imagine they will land on too to much, and, there's never a given that I'll have to pay for VAT or Import taxes. I guess we'll have to wait and see until it arrives and we'll figure it out, I'll tell you now though that I'll commit to pay part of it.

Just a note for people considering to buy in. I have bold marked the part about the fee and would suggest you to read the entire OP before wanting to enter, now I don't mind questions etc. but for your own sake.

Also just for comparison, if you were to order 1 roll from Satoricoin you'd pay ~$620 + whatever vat & import taxes lands on.

I'll let everyone know about any updates I receive from Satoricoin :).

Got a reply about it recently and they said they can't offer overnight shipping but they can offer FedEx shipping in "economy" class and people close to me are saying it takes just a few days shipping with that worldwide, so it should be all good :).

EDIT: As time keeps passing by I'd prefer it if people that will send payment from here on out sends their BTC with a higher fee to ensure everything is confirmed in time for me to make the purchase. If a transaction is stuck due to a low fee I will not cover the cost and order the rolls for you anyways, I'll ask you for an address and refund you tomorrow most likely.

If you have a stuck transaction and did not send RBF you can always open a free account at pool.viabtc.com. They give you a number of free transaction accelerations when you open an account at least they did for me.

That's a great tip. There's also http://confirmtx.com/ where you can accelerate transactions that are less than 400 byte in total size. No idea how good it works but I just use it by default when I have a thin transaction :D.

I've not placed the order yet as I'm still waiting for some transactions and some people have not been online for the past 12 hours so I'm giving them some extra time.. Hopefully everyone is OK with this.

Alright so here's an update on where we are at:

A total of 86 rolls have been taken and out of those 84 have been paid for. One guy that wanted 20 rolls and one guy that wanted 10 rolls are MIA so they'll more than likely not join in. Out of all the paid rolls I'm still waiting on 4 transactions to confirm, and with the network currently being where it is I'm not sure how long that'll take. After talking with Satori and figuring out the best price for us it seems that the 0.0376 BTC per roll price kicks in at 2000 coins, which gives you the best rate. 80 rolls = 2000 coins so we are all good on that front.

Now while we are waiting I'll just say that if anyone would like to join in and push us closer to 100 rolls (just for the heck of it) feel free to PM me or reply here. BUT if you are going to join in you are going to HAVE to send the transaction in with a HIGH fee so it will confirm in a timely manner.

I'm sorry for the delay and that some of you rushed to have this happen earlier but I did not expect the bullrun up to almost $20k (holy hell, was nice though), or the 200k transactions in mempool.

H does the price point change at 100 rolls ?

Also be weary of how heavy that package will be. I am sure they will need ship in multiple packages (and probably should anyways)

From what I can ascertain from OP and Satori site, price per roll drops by about $20 or so once 100 roll threshold it met and currently we are in between 40-100 rolls with 40 roll threshold pricing which remains until 100 threshold is reached.  Does this sound about right Hhampuz?

From talking to Moto over on Satoricoin the threshold is at 2000 coins, which is 80 rolls, 100 rolls is 2500 coins but no additional discount is given at that rate, so although it'd be nice getting 100 rolls we are still fine at 80 rolls and so far we have received payment for over 80 rolls :).

We've come to the conclusion that we'll ship it through FedEx and therefore it will be fine shipping it in one package :). I've told Moto to package it very well too haha.

The CBOE BTC futures launch is Sun, 10 Dec @ 5PM Central time (US).  Do you think delaying the order till then will bite us in the ass or we will get more value for our BTC?  Just something to consider as we know where we are now but Sunday could pose an even more interesting variable.

Unless we drop to $10k the price won't change too much so we should be fine. As for the incoming transactions, they have a below average fee so we'll see if they won't confirm within the next hour or two, trust me when I say that nobody wants to place this order more than me :D. Update*

All payments have been confirmed and I'm now sitting with all the funds for a total of 87 rolls or 2175 coins. Made the order but when going to the coincheck payment and pressing the "Pay with Bitcoin" button it is not working. I get a pop-up saying "Not found" and I've reached out to Moto to figure out what this is.. I experienced this issue two days ago as well when just trying to make a payment and then he sent me a payment address in email that I could use.. I'll have to see what he says now.

Yeah I did make the announcement above that no more orders were being accepted but this one from aTriz had been "confirmed" last night with the transaction being lost in space or sent late :D. Alright so here's the update:

The order has been placed for a total of 2575pcs. That's 103 rolls in total. I managed to smooth talk Moto so that we could get the rate from yesterday (when the website was having issues) which means we paid a total of 3.655BTC for the entire order. This gives us an avg. price per roll of 0.0355 which also means everyone is due a refund of 0.0021BTC per roll :). Now I'd recommend to keep some of the funds with me for shipping costs and all of that if you wouldn't mind (people with an order of 4 or more rolls don't need to leave it all). Please allow me to send the refunds less the txfees otherwise the combined value of it may kill me :D.

Anyways. Moto were not able to ship us any Satoris today, we'll have to wait until Monday. They were also running out of inventory at the office so they'll ship 1000pcs (40 rolls) on Monday using FedEx Priority shipping, should be with me the same week. The other 1575pcs (63 rolls) will be shipped on Wednesday, also with FedEx Priority.

I'll keep you all updated with when shipping occurs and when I receive it, I still urge you to keep sending me shipping info so I can send them out quickly :).

Now I'll try and get some sleep, crazy night haha. Thank you all for being so patient!

So I guess all we need to figure out right now is how we are going to divide the shipping. Since I'll most likely get these 40 rolls first we need to look at who will get their rolls first.

As suggested previously I wanted to ship all USA rolls to Minerjones and he'd later on ship them to everyone there but as some people from the US have already told me they'd prefer if I ship directly I can do that, has to be one or the other as it does not make much sense to do half and half.

Maybe we should do a first comes first served kind of deal? Let me know what you think and we can decide tomorrow or on Monday.

Personally I’m fine with whatever. If you do ship to MJ he’s got other stuff to send me and surely others so that works out well for that scenario

As for getting these before xmas, shipping it through MJ and getting it to you before then, I'm 90% sure that won't happen :(.. Unless I manage to get some overnight shipping deal done individually with any of you these will MAYBE arrive between the holidays and new years. But, no need for me to sit here and take guesses as I'll know more once I have the rolls in hand.

I know that some people are in no rush to get these while others may want them fast.. Will figure something out :).

I'll probably host another one of these if there's enough interest, I'm fine with that. Maybe not in December but January/February is possible!

As for people requesting numbers, please don't right now.. Besides, numbers on Satori coins does not matter that much :D. I've never seen anyone request a specific number of these and I doubt it makes much difference, let's see what happens and let me get the coins first before we decide on anything specific, please :).

I've decided and came to the conclusion that I will send out to random people with random numbers. This means there's no picking favorites, for me or for you. So I'll just randomly select one of you and print out shipping labels and have it shipped out ASAP. Hopefully I get the first forty rolls today and it'll be all good :).

I'll also ship directly without shipping it to MJ first, unless you ask me to ship to him whereas the shipping costs will be put to that and then you'll have to figure it out with shipping from him to you.

As per usual, I'll keep you all posted on any progress made :).

First 40 rolls came in yesterday morning and went out yesterday evening, everyone that will get theirs should have them before the holidays!

Next 63 rolls will come in tomorrow if we are lucky but most likely on Monday. I'll keep you posted!

I'll also peg my fee for doing it to a $ amount and not BTC. When I made this GB I was thinking $100 and BTC was just below $10k so figured 0.01 was fair but then we just smashed ATH after ATH.. That's what is awesome with BTC and crypto though :).

Does this mean we get another refund, lol  :P

Looks like I'll get the remaining rolls tomorrow and will have a busy night of packaging it all up and getting it out quickly! Will prioritize EU people to have theirs out by the night to ensure they'll have their rolls prior to the holidays as people in USA most likely won't be able to receive theirs in 4 days.. More on this tomorrow. All rolls should be sent out by Tuesday, you'll have my word on that :).

In the meantime I'd like to gauge interest on another GB either just before or just after New Years.. Been receiving a lot of pm's from people that missed it and that would like for me to host another one. It's up to you guys :D.

I would have no issues accepting different currencies but since I'd have to convert it and send the BTC to another address there would have to be a small amount added. More on that if we get closer to it though :)

Got the remaining 3 rolls today and so far all but 20 of them have been shipped out! This has been a great experience and something I actually enjoyed doing, so thank you guys for the trust in me carrying this out.

I'm hoping to get good news shortly regarding everyone receiving their rolls and that they are safe and sound :).

Some of you have not sent me shipping info but I have pm'd you again for them, as for the ones that have been shipped out I have pm'd you with tracking numbers and refund amounts.

Just got hit with some bad news... Received a letter today requesting me to pay customs on the first package of 40 rolls a total amount of: $280.

The reason this sucks is because I've used all the refundable money you guys had for shipping and to send out refunds. Not really sure how to solve this as I guess it is on me. If anyone would be willing to help I'd really appreciate it but since mostly all rolls are out already and on it's way to you guys there's not much I can do :(.

How much does it work out to per roll hhampuz?? I'll pay what I owe I am sure most of the others here will chip in as well, you did a great job here for us bud no reason you should end up screwed on it..

So after dong the math and counting on me having to pay $280 for 40 rolls meaning I can expect to pay $420 for 60 rolls would boil it down to customs charges of $7 per roll.. So that's where it is at. Again, can't force anyone to help out but I'd definitely appreciate it a lot.

Confirming I just got my rolls, quite late (because of the holidays probably) but they arrived.
I haven't inspected them yet, since I shipped them to my home as they were supposed to arrive before I left, however, they were late and I wasn't there  :D
But, I hassled my dad for some pictures, and everything seems legit.
