it would indeed be handy to know what bitcoin services you wish to avail of.
as mentioned above there are shady and trustable people in every possible
bitcoin service.

If you are more specific and let us know what you are looking for we can
help you out!!

Although knowing what kind of business would help as the two above posts mentioned, this is a general rule of thumb:

- Google 'em, but be ready to take "reviews" with a grain of salt. Research their background, and tack on "scam" after the business name to try and look at the worse side. Keeping in mind that fake businesses get more and more deceptive, hold the fact that Google search result spoofing is a very real possibility. Despite it, it's worth a shot in my book.

- Also, regardless of the popularity of the service, ask here. Even if members haven't had direct experience with the service, they can try to help take a look at the business and for clues that it's not genuine. I've seen members pick apart very real-looking businesses with close scrutiny just to help community members out.

Good luck. Online bitcoin businesses are a toughy to navigate around.

You should mention the service you want to proceed with bitcoin. If there's no trusted service in bitcoin for specific task/job/service then I guess bitcoin will not be as successful as this present time. Anyway once you mentioned what you should want, then people here can help you, like a trusted exchange, marketplace, gambling sites, shop, wallet (desktop, hardware, mobile, web), etc. But besides for those suggestions you should make your own research too.

Typically if I'm about to use a new service, I:
  • Google their name and check for negative experiences
  • Look for a bitcointalk thread, and see if people with issues are posting on it
and anything else that I might think of, including just asking people in chat rooms. I'd stay far away from new services unless you know the creator/owner.

Normally because if you just distinguish the red trust below the name of a user it means that user is not reputable enough or had tarnish him/her on a monkey business, normally scams and SMAS. WHILE the Green below of a username it means they are reputable and trustworthy. You can also trust some higher ranks such as Sr. Member Hero Member Legendary Member cause they will not scam you or do anything rash.

Every business can conduct in both the bad and pleasant aspects, it is in their discretion how they want to behave in market.
While its users have free right to express respective experience with their service provider and you should carefully choose a service that is trustable.
We would help you know possibly everything about the service if you let us know what specific service you are looking for

There are different kinds of Bitcoin services, Which one are you looking for? is it Bitcoin exchange, wallet, trading platform? Looking for reputable Bitcoin services never easy, But you should always first research about the company and look for customer reviews before you use their service, or look for discussion or thread here in the forum if there are instances that some people had some bad experiences using the services you want to use, if you found nothing then make a thread and ask. if the service you want to use is new, it's better to avoid it first until further reviews comes out about them.

Search for the service review in google and go through them, if you find some scam report or accusations against them than its better to stay away from them.
Always maintain some distance from cloud mining and bitcoin doubler ponzi, they are 100% scams.

Never buy mining devices from unauthorized sellers of bitmain or other manufacturing companies.

Check this http://www.badbitcoin.org/ , it tries to list all bitcoin related services which has turned into scam recently....

What kind of bitcoin service are you reffering to? I think you should specify your question more. There are Bitcoin services for almost anything you can imagine. If you are referring to buying BTC and selling BTC, then you should buy at a high rated big exchange. I would in general be very careful and dont trust people lightly. Rather be suspicious and if you have a bad feeling about something, dont do it. There are a lot of scams in this space, as its still not regulated and is a paradise for scammers.

I amrefering to the crypto trader.

Then no, most of the exchanges are crap, and probably nine of them are usually scam. The ones who are now listed, are thiefs, they are only waiting to steal your money.

They have millions of users, and they usually scam the 0.01% which is nothing, but it is a lot at the same time.

How many stories about bitcoin thiefs have you heard about the exchanges? This forum is plenty of them, and more from bittrex, poloniex, novaexchange, and a few more.

if you really want to exchange for example eth, or bitcoin, just signup to your blockchain.info wallet and you are going to able to exchange those alts in there quickly, and without any risks.

The best would be, to tell us, what service you want to use. We have many experienced members here, who used services with good and bad results. If you don't want to share, then take this as advice:
If this service promises you, that you will double your bitcoin or get daily high interests, simply to good to be true, then forget it. They will scam you.
If you mean an exchanger, then use more than one and trade with little amounts. Choose a multicoin wallet, where you own the private keys like on jaxx and coinomi. For tokens you can use myetherwallet.

If you browse through the forum and do a search in your category you are interested for , you will have your answer. For example if you want to know which gambling site is trustable check the gambling section, if you want to know for wallets, cloud mining I don't recommend those, bitcoin mixer services you just have a read here in the section. You will have a basic idea after you do so who to trust and who to trust not.

This has been a concern for most people who are new to BTC. They wanted to know if services linked to BTC are trustworthy or not, as they know that in many instances, BTC has been involved in a somehow scammy services that took people's money and vanished in thin air. The first thing that you could do is do some research about the service that you would like to try. Check the legitimate reviews available regarding their trustworthiness and you can also use their threads here in this forum to check the feedback from forum members who used their service. It is not a hundred percent solution but this will help you determine if they are worth your time and money.

Ones that have built reputation over time is the safest.  If not ones where you know something about the people behind the service.

Your questions are not clear mate. What kind of bitcoin services you are looking for?

1. Wallet service - You may want to check this link: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet. Almost all of them are fairly trusted.

2. Trading Exchanges - Some of the most trusted trading platform as of now.

  • Poloniex Exchange - https://www.poloniex.com
    Bitfinex Exchange - https://www.bitfinex.com
    Bittrex Exchange - https://www.bittrex.com/
    Bitstamp Exchange - https://www.bitstamp.net
    GDAX Exchange - https://www.gdax.com/
    Kraken Exchange - https://www.kraken.com/

I think it really depends on how the individual safeguard his account in those exchanges. There are a lot of hackers out there, so make sure you put every security that exchanges have recommended (2FA, strong passwords) and don't put all your funds in an exchange. Just enough for your to do your trading and transfer it to your wallet like Electrum and Bitcoin Core.

What is this with crypto trader? isn't this is a group or something like that? So you prefer to ask about trusted exchange?

Well most of them are in different state that you should be careful, freezing accounts, disabling withdrawals and changing some way to verify accounts.

You need to tell us what specific service you are asking and talking about.

Not sure about bittrex on that list of trusted exchanges btw, there seem to be many problems with accounts locking on there.
