Hi friends. I need advice.... Do you thing is good moment today for buy BTC and then buy LTC? Or I should wait? Thank you for your inputs!

Dude, this is a bitcoin forum full of people who are so bullish on btc (and desperate for it), that you're not going to get any answers that are useful.   Everybody is going to tell you yes, including myself.   I think despite it being at its ATH, it's still worth buying, because the bull market isn't done by a long shot.  We'll probably go to $20k or higher by the end of 2018.  Don't come back and blame me if it doesn't, though.  It's risky as hell but it's made a lot of folks very rich.

See no one's going to tell you no for buying bitcoins that includes me as well. But I would like to add that let the prices of Bitcoin go down a bit then but them and only risk the amount that you can bear if they are lost. And rather than Litecoin better buy ethereum. Ethereum has a better market cap than that of litecoin and a better community as well. So buying ethereum is better than Litecoin.

If you're worried about price plan to buy slowly, at regular intervals over time. This way you're averaging your cost basis and minimizing your risk on a single point in time price.

Litecoin is an attractive option, but Ethereum has a better business model.

Market cap should not be considered an driver of a buying decision. Market cap has zero influence on how attractive a coin (or stock) is for an investment. Market cap is only a measure to compare the size value (not investment value) of to comparable assets. It could be argued that comparing Ethereum to Litecoin is comparing apples to oranges, they're both good for you, they're both delicious, but their trees don't grow in the same field.

First, do not buy altcoins (not even ltc) if you are not sure about why you are doing it.
About buying btc I think it's always the best time, but be aware that on 10th December futures trading will start, and you will see either a big pump or a big dump

Futures trading won't start in a big dump (of the price). These futures contracts don't trade on the blockchain so they won't influence Bitcoin's volatility. However, any firm selling futures contracts on the US market will need to own Bitcoin to cover the reserve requirements for all of their trades.

Look at the charts and make your own decision, i wouldn't buy at this high, because it is very expensive. But litecoin is worth it, if you want to make x2 or x3, buy litecoin now.

yep i think you should definitely  buy bitcoin right now it's never too late to get into bitcoin i strongly believe that it has more room to grow and this is only the beginning, a lot of people said that 1000/2000$ was the max price anyone would pay for bitcoin but look at bitcoin now !

Like was said by other users, you're going to see everyone tell you to invest whether or not it looks like the market is going to continue pumping because literally everyone is bullish when it comes to Bitcoin. I am probably one of the few more conservative investors (which basically makes me a contrarian for the market because it always does the oppose it of what I say) and I would likely tell you that there's a chance it will correct and you can buy the dip then, but there are no guarantees. It's all down to your interpretation and I can't give you a good answer beyond "maybe". The market looks confident but stagnant, the bull run has calmed down and it might as well be a tossup now.

It is always good time to buy BTC. And also you should keep 40% of you bank always in BTC. Another 60% you may use for trading altcoins. Hope this advice will be helpful.

If you are not prepared well and you bought at today's price and suddenly it will be bearish tomorrow with $1,000 what would you feel? Horrible advice, altcoins trading is not profitable anymore because bitcoin is going up much more faster than the other altcoins, and if you are a long term trader, you are going to lose money

The last bunch of bitcoins that i bought was at $9500 each one of them, i didn't buy anymore because i think that the price is super inflated, but i dont know, maybe i will buy a few dollars worth of bitcoin later.

Yes it is always a good time to buy bitcoin. If you believe all the predictions surrounding bitcoin in which it will be 200k-1mill worth in a couple a years. If this is the best time to get the most bitcoin for your fiat, I would say no. In my opinion wait after the futures trading.

Almost every person here will tell you that you should invest in Bitcoin. Trading is a lot of hassle for newcomers and I wouldn't recommend it to you. Holding Bitcoin seems to be very profitable and it is safe if you store your bitcoins properly. I would recommend you to invest in Bitcoin and then start studying about it before you invest in another altcoins. You can easily lose your all money if you don't take proper steps.

Well, LTC is moving very slow, so if you are going to invest you should go with BTC, although you should expand your portfolio to ETH too, since it will grow up to $1500 each next year according to many experts. Why are you investing in litecoin?

LTC has a great future. Bitcoin has the largest market cap, is accepted in the most stores and for many people it's the only cryptocurrency they know... That's true!

But did you know that Litecoin is:
-Much faster
-Much cheaper
-Much cooler
-Much more active
-Much more capable of growing their value 1000x
-Much more accepted than most other cryptocurrencies (and hopefully Bitcoin soon too)

That's why he (& you) should be investing in Litecoin.

To OP: It's really just your decision. Contrary to what others have said before, not everyone here is recommending you to invest in Bitcoin. I feel like there are far better cryptocurrencies out there and you should check them out, instead of sticking to Bitcoin. Litecoin is one them, as you've probably noticed in my reply above  :P

Here's how I see it, you could buy now and there's a chance the price may fall and you could've waited and got in at a lower price but long term you'll profit either way as it will recover above the current price of 12.5k or so. Alternatively you could wait and bitcoin could reach 15k and then you continue waiting and it reaches 20k and then you say, why didn't I buy any bitcoin?

Best advice to bitcoin is when price get low that time you may buy bitcoin and increased rate that time only you need to sell bitcoin because then only you will get more profit and scam lot is there in this ,find out that and use this .

These 2 coin in my opinion has strong in fundamental so will good idea to buy now for long term investment, but I think by different portfolio for example Bitcoin 70% portfolio and 30% for Litecoin. Bitcoin still able to going up to $50,000 in the longterm because as we know totally supply only 21 million and circulating supply only about 16 million but now many people around the world buying Bitcoin, in addition, even banks and other financial institutions also buy bitcoin for investment., and also many country regulated Bitcoin so the demand continue increasing.

As bitcoin's price is very high now, I think you should wait for a sudden dump, for the price to be lower if you'll buy bitcoins, but I think it will still pump and will be dumping for the year ends when it reaches its' peak. For the LTC, I really do not know because I don't take a look at it's price.

Are you planning to become a trader? if yes, you should study the flow of both currencies you are talking, you can also visit coinmarketcap and find your coins you want to buy. Cryptocurrencies are always changing its value anytime it is maybe down or high better to buy if it is low then hold it until it rises again then sell it.

Just buy a large amount of bitcoin cause as for now bitcoin has a crazy amount of increase through the day only for a $1000 value. You should hurry and buy it now while it is still growing.

At this point, BTC is breaking all the records and giving us all-time high levels. This is happening because institutional investors are pouring their capital day by day. There is a possibility of the correction and hence I don't think that buying for the short term is a wise idea at this stage so if you can hold it for the long term then definitely it will pay for that term. However, this is my personal opinion and doing your own research is highly recommended.

Hi friend. For me, buying bitcoin is a good idea. If you are worried to your money. Don't invest or just wait until the value of bitcoin dump and just hold it because I am sure that the value of bitcoin in future will be much higher so that you can get a profit.

I think you'd better stick to bitcoin for now because altcoins are drowning in the red sea. I think altcoins are going to have a hard time recovering specially if bitcoin reaches $20k before this year ends. But if your instincts tells you to invest on bitcoins and altcoins then go for it, you still get to decide in the end though.

Altcoins are only struggling because of how well bitcoin is performing, it's always the case and as soon as bitcoin cools off and goes sidewise then altcoins will shoot up in a similar but not quite so ridiculous fashion. Right now I'd be terrified of buying any bitcoin because it's getting kind of crazy.

Yeah. If you're planning for a long term investment, it is always the best time to buy bitcoins. Don't think about what's happening in the current situation. Don't be bothered by the small pumps and dumps because what will matter is what will happen in the future. What it's price is going to be in the future. I wouldn't advise you to venture into litecoin, if you will venture into any other coin apart from bitcoin , it should be Ethereum. Ethereum has better market cap than litecoin.

What about LTC I'm not quite sure. I think you should buy different coins to ensure that you are not going to loose all of your funds if one of the coins will sink.

Buying the bitcoin and that too at time when the market value of bitcoin is little low can really help you in having not only more bitcoins in less price but in addition to this, it will also help you in having more money in return. If you Hold BTC now it wont hurt right? Why would you LTC if you have already BTC trading is good but choose it wisely or else youre gonna loose an amount youll regret. Wait for it to  fall first, then after that you should buy when you feel it would rise again at any moment. See some graphs out there, search the google and see the pattern. If things go like as it's used to be, then it should be rising to reach a new time high then go down a bit then will suddenly rise again. The graphs are like roller coasters.

I’ve seen a lot people say that the increase in altcoins prices are being as a result of the huge increase in Bitcoin. Recently, Litecoin has become the top on the list, so if anyone want to invest intoLitecoin, would be a very good idea. If you kept waiting for the right time then there will be no right time. If you want to invest then go straight with it and choose the one coin and stay focused on it. The LTC is no matter what doing great now a days though it is reached maxima now but it is still good investment for future if you want to get into it anyway. What else you can do is divide your investment into two that is BTC and LTC. If I were you then I would give more weightage to LTC as it is cheap as compared to BTC and can get me higher profits as it has more room to grow as compared to BTC which is already to high at this point. :-)

Bitcoin is strong bullish all the time so in my opinion buy Bitcoin now and trade it with Litecoin or others altcoin, but to minimize the risk use maksimum 30% of total Bitcoin for day trade and then others 70% just hold it for longterm investment.

I am not sure why are you restricting yourself while choosing the coins with only two in the bucket. You can expand your wings and chance of getting profited with ETH, XRP and other coins out there. I mean there is no point ins ticking to LTC only. There is no question about the bitcoin but it is really very high and with whatever small investment you may make it would be very small and with the little change in the prices of bitcoin it won't rise much. To make quick and trusted trades you should start looking into portfolio of ETH, XRP and LTC if you like it that much. These coins can make you profited in the future if you hold for long terms.

YES, i agree that today is the good moment to buy bitcoin as the trend is still going smoother and there is some more room left in the running uptrend. You may consider entering on dips and then hold your bitcoins for another next big rally.In case of litecoin too you can buy and hold for long term, but you here the volatility and  the spread is little big so trade short term in litecoin and exit with big profit margin otherwise because of high spread you won't be profited in big way.

Right! All anyone will ever tell is to buy anytime you have the funds. We all did that anyway and there is no point looking back to regret even if things do not end up as one really wished it to be. Bitcoin is volatile, we are still in the early phase and we still have a lot of time ahead of us to grow bigger, so for someone who is going to be holding for a long term, buying now is the best option.

No one would know or really tell anyone what can happen next with the value of these two coins, but as long as we are holding for long, then you can buy now and forget about other things that would happen afterwards.

A lot of people have been expecting that there would be some huge correction and the truth is that so far it has not come and we all do not know when that would happen or if it will ever happen at all. My say would be for you to buy now and if you have more when it dips, then buy more.

LTC though really had a huge run and I would rather wait to see the huge correction most especially when the boss starts having its huge bull run. Most alts get dumped at those moments anyway for BTC, so that may be the best time to get in on any Alt, including LTC. Like you said, BTC on the other hand simply looks like a train that is not ready to stop yet, but we have to just be at alert.

Not having enough funds is not an excuse. I told that to someone three months back and all he could afford was $50. Kindly calculate the percentage increase now from 3 months ago to this point, maybe you can change your mentality about not buying now. In as much as I am expectant that there could be a correction which may be huge, I am still very bullish on bitcoin for the long term, and no matter what you have, just buy.

I'm not suggest you to buy anything, let your money stay at bank and prepare for next year. BTC and LTC has higher price and volume, this is not a good sign to buy but wait and see. I believe this moment will comes up many speculations on the real market and will make us panic buy/ sell. I choose to stay calm and never decides take part if situations like this happen. I would take this suggestion.For now it would be riskier for us to buy on these ATH or peak prices which it do somehow being affected on holiday season why we do able to reach this ranges.If you do make shorting then its really a risky thing to do.Market is almost being moved by hype- this is just my own view. This is why im holdingg back up funds when prices tends to correct later on and do tend to buy again on cheaper ranges.

Keep on money in bank means you are really looking like shit on your mind. Now banks completely controlling our money in the bank. If bankrupt or demonization both the time your bank steel your money but bitcoin other crypto medium will never do that. I think it's okay to buy it now, I think the price will go up, if you feel too risky on BTC you can buy LTC because the ltc price is cheaper than bitcoin and you also will not lose too much money if it fails.

Will,as of now the value of bitcoin price is very huge,maybe if you have an a fiat money of $300 you can contains only  a small value of amount of bitcoin but for me its a good start value when you go in trading investment because as you said,you want to buy a LTC coin.
