Reminds me of the "Next bonus ball" trick where you sent spam email to say 100,000 people saying the bonus ball with be X number next week. By end of first week, if there's 50 balls 49 will be wrong and 1 will be right. So you're left with 2000 people who think you predicted right. Repeat the week after to those 2000 people and suddenly 40 people now think you've guessed the bonus ball two weeks in a row and are perfectly vulnerable to be scammed.

Only in this case there's more margin for error!

The price of ETH is losing serious ground to BTC.    But beyond that, I don't see how anyone can have confidence in ETH if it can get so congested by a game.


I took my money out of ETH and put it into BTC for the time being.   Seems to be a wise choice.         Personally I'm surprised ETH hasn't dumped, but that could be because it is harder to move ETH right now.          I think it closes at 414

One thing I can not understand, in many projects they write that they are struggling with volotility, but go to the market and their coins start trading very volotile. And why fight it? It is necessary to earn on it.

I'm not sure if i understand your question but you are correct that market movements (=volatality) is a result of changes in supply/demand, technical fundamentals, politics etc. and are normal.

Bitcoin will keep absorbing altcoins, or rather, people will keep selling altcoins for Bitcoin. There is a breaking point however, where an altcoin investor will continue to hold because the value is already down too much: the Sunk Cost fallacy.

In terms of satoshis the altcoins will move in the opposite direction of Bitcoin. For Bitcoin I predict a massive increase of 30% tomorrow. Therefore the value of altcoins will lower by about 30%, minus the Sunk Cost holders. Say -25%.

The altcoins' dollar value will increase by 30% because of Bitcoin and lower by 25% because of the sell off. We will see a net increase of 5% across the board.

What happens in the end if AI wins everytime? There is a risk that the traders like you and me will loose interest in trading because the AI can't be beaten.
Then end the end, the AI might end up on its own on the market. So the AI will play against itself.

Yes exactly. Thats why its better to be on the side of AI than to be on the losing side. There will be AI vs AI fighting for some decades ahead. Then something revolutioary will change even AI :)

This is a good thinking and we believe in the long term trading will be solely based on AI's because the necessary data volume is just to big for a human being to comprehend.
In the short and mid term AI will help increasing profit margins for human traders until it is mature enough to manage whole portfolios alone.

The financial markets like technology are very dynamic, thus we do not believe that there will be "one AI to rule them all", but more of a competition where companies will try to enhance the AI and increase the Big Data input to get better results.

Hi easypeasy,

there is a spreadsheet included in the OP where you can see all stats regarding the event.

So far we can see AIEVE is usually better then the average error of all human participants.
In a 1on1 comparison AIEVE could excel several times with the best prediction but still can be beaten by humans -  AIEVE still needs to mature, include NLP and analyze more data! :)

And exactly for this we are doing the ICO!

It was written here that this system is designed to reduce volatility. Maybe it's possible to do it on some very small exchange. But I think that this is not possible in the foreseeable future.

Could anyone explain the prediction sheet a bit better to me? The green bar is the prediction and the blue bar is the actual closing value or is it the predicted max. closing value? Could you also post at the end of each day the actual market closing value (plus which market we compare too)? I'm not sure if I'm on the wrong track here or what I'm missing, ain't fully get the predictions tho.

I am very interested on this subject. I have no idea if it has been posted, but i would assume you're using NN's with LSTM or something of the sorts. And on this sort of market at least at this stage i can't see how this could work(whales kill forecasting), unless you also have spiders crawling the web doing sentiment analysis and somehow aggregating that data with the obvious market data(and even then this is a longshot). But good luck

Edit: As long as you stick with coins with a big market cap decreasing the impact of large mammals, i guess this could work to some degree.

Hello everybody.  First time poster.

I am considering getting into this prediction AI thing, as I find coin price prediction in the short term based on the price graphs alone very do-able - so it makes sense that with more data and a better equation system, you coulc conceivably predict it with far better accuracy and therefore you could trade several times a day for increased profit at no higher level of risk.  I mean if you could leverage trades that's even better with no more risk.

The things I wish to know are these - how up to date is the data the prediction engine uses, and how up to date is the output to me?  I ask because I use trading machines for CFD devices on cryptos and they update "tick" style (that is they show updates 4 times a second on the rates) but on this platform the updates lag about 10 seconds behind the actual market rate.

So with this AI predictor, how long is the lag behind the actual rate.  I think if the lag is not too bad and the accuracy proves to be good this could be a really good tool for profit maxing.  I need to know more though, as I am not a panflash investor and when I get into something I stay in for the long haul.

Ok so I read the entire white paper and all available data on the website at Peculium.  I feel like it could use a more simplified version, a brief summary of the main points as it was very long and wordy and I can't imagine many people get through it unless they are lawyers!

I propose that somebody (or perhaps a small team of us) put the information regards to this project into summary so that it is easier for newcomers (like me) to understand and get into!

As far as i know that an AI prediction is using an algorithm that would makes it more consistence and it will give the best result based on the algorithm calculation. but in human there will be time when they will use their emotion.
