Dear users,

We are glade to announce that we have included now ICICI Bank to our supported bank list. So now you can use AXIS Bank and ICICI bank accounts to transfer funds to us immediately.

It also means that if you have ICICI or Axis Bank account cheque tranmsfers to you, when you are selling bitcoins to us, will be completed in same business day.

We are working very hard to get more banks added in our supported bank list.

Regards,
Staff,

To add more banks is it not as simple as opening a bank account and providing its details to people who buy btc? Or are you already bombarded with some regulations/restrictions as this is a business away from the normal ones? I m just curious here :)

If you say from adding bank account perspective, yes it is as simple as opening a new corporate account. When you want to open a trading account with a company dealing in Bitcoins, virtual currency etc its a bit more complex. You want to make sure you talk to branch's top management and explain them what you are doing and what you are expecting from bank.

It is all about volume you generate. If you are not generating much volume, its fine. If you are generating good volume, things get changed. Also to make the accounts meaningful, you have to make sure you have enough capital tied in that bank account to serve the volume that particular bank generates in your overall transaction volume. This thing can be tedious and can get your accounts section on toes.

But this is all part of the process and you have to enjoy the troubles you are getting in between if you want to provide more services. In a complex line I can summarize all of above "The more services you provide to customers, the more integration you do with partners ( may it be bank or other services ) you are adding new and new vectors where your system can fail and you have to make sure the value generated by adding that vector is always greater than your support, maintenance and operation costs and YOUR margins"

PS : Sometimes it feels awkward to speak such MBA kind languages :(

Cheers

Wow, yes its true as the bank start asking 100 questions if the transaction volume is huge. I know a person who deal with bullion market where the cash deposits and withdrawals will be in terms of 3-4 crores per day and then all money goes out through neft/rtgs same day or so. They have a bank account with h**c and they have ended up paying bribe to the manager under the table so that they manage the needed cashflow to facilitate the business. So i know volume business sucks.

It is good to see u have included icici bank. It is one of the good banks and a good % of people have an account there especially corporate employees. You should aim for SBI next if u can ;)

We have been working with SBI from last 1 and half months to get them on board. Yes it sounds weird but it is taking that much time  but thats how it works :( We are expecting to get them on board by end of this month.

To give you an idea, even ICICI Bank took whole 3 weeks to complete the process. So I think SBI is doing good enough ;)

Cheers

Why don't you put member joining's on your website...... It will facilitate for repeated customers, who need just one time verification for all their future business.

Think about it.

Actually thats work in progress where user will be able to login to his account and place order from there. At the moment also you need to get verified only once, and you will be able to place order without need for verification.

Hopefully the account version should get released by start of next month.

Thanks
