I have btc.  I want to get a few other coins. 



1.  Waves-  I think this coin could hit very high.  I heard so many good things about it.  I have waves but not that much as i want.

2.  Shift-  I don't know why but something about this coin tells me it might even hit $100.  The supply is not much.  I wanted to buy it when it was at the $1 mark but did not and then it went to $2 and $3.  Its over $2 right now and i really want to buy it.

3.  Iota-  I heard people talking a lot about this coin when it was under $1.  I of course did not buy and notice went all the way to over $4.50 or so.  Then it dropped down a bit.  The price is higher than i like.  I wanted to get this at the $1 mark but did not.  Is it worth a buy at this price now?  I heard people mention it could hit $100 but supply is very high.

4. Powerledger-  I heard about this coin recently.  When i heard of it, it was under $1 and then went up.  But now its below $1.  I heard talk about australia with this coin so isn't this a must buy at any price under $1?

5. Gamecredits-  I know this coin is for gaming.  This probably has one of the best names i ever heard of.  With a price over 2 dollars, isn't this a good buy?  I wanted to buy this coin when it dropped all the way below $1 but did not.

6. Wings-  I don't know much about this coin.  However, it has a nice logo.  I heard some people talk good about this coin.  Its under $1.

7.  Funfair-  Someone spoke about this coin and said it will go up a lot.  Its around 3 cents for a coin.  It has do do with online casino fair or something like that.  Issue is there is a huge supply.  Well you could buy a lot of funfair at 3 cents.  If it hits 1 dollar... thats a lot of money if you buy say 100000 shares.

8.  Edgeless-  Someone mentioned this coin will be one of the best online casino coins ever.  Said they have new projects and this coin will explode.  This coin is over 1 dollar now.  I think this coin is like gamecredits but better.

9.  Stellar Lumens-  I wanted to buy this coin when it was 3 cents.  I heard good things about it.  It went all the way up to 18 cents... but now dropped back down.  This seems to be a coin that could possibly hit 1 dollar?

10.  Bitbean-  Okay so i was looking through coinmarketcap and this coin caught my attention.  I checked it out and its like you sending digital beans to someone.  This coin cost less than 1/2 of 1 cent.  Thus you could 1000 dollars worth and get 200000 bitbean.  And if this coin hits 1 dollar, well that would be a huge profit. 

Probably, but in a long time from now, it has been very hyped, but it doesnt mean that it will be worth $100 in some months.


Not one hundred, but this coin has an incredible profile, i really like this one, and it has a lot of chances to become a big one. They didn't created a huge marketing campaign, and that is one of the reasons of why the price is so cheap, but they have a good product in there.


If you still trust in it, then buy it, but honestly.. i would not invest in a coin that made more than x4 in a week.

I think you could compile a much better list than that one. Most of those aside from iota have been around a long time and have been stagnant and not increasing much in value. I would look into some of the newer emerging coins with strong dev teams behind them if you want to make some fast gains. Stuff like waves and stellar Lumins don't seem to be gaining much ground as of late.

IOTA and waves are the good profitable investment these coins are suitable in both long-term and short-term investment. But currently you have Bitcoin. In current market Bitcoin is evergreen coin. So don't invest in  know. After January Bitcoin is raise in double the value. So just hold your Bitcoin. Next you should invest IOTA and waves. Because these coin also most trusted in crypto market.

For me IOTA and Stellar Lumens have more/ best potential to rise its price this coming year and most suitable for both long & short term investment.

1. Yes probably it has good tech and as the leading DEX stands to gain a lot.
2. Dunno about can't comment.
3. Yes it is a good coin but perhaps wait for a more opportune time.
4. Also good but perhaps better entry can be had here too.
5. Nearly bottomed out I expect big things from gaming coins in 2018, so yes.

8. Would not get in here I think they got hacked for all the ETH they had but I could be wrong about that, look into that deeper.
9. Another banking coin I dislike them not up my alley

I really recommend you to hold the bitcoin first until January as jvdp mentioned below. If bitcoins were reached his very high price, immediately exchange it for the most valuable altcoins. Btw, some of your altcoins that you list isn't popular, so the answer is IOTA, Stellar Lumens, Waves is the best altcoins to invest in, it's your choice.

I have invested in waves and funfair.  Two of my favorite coins and big things coming soon.  You won't regret it.

Waves is good for buying now, price is around 5$ for a long time.
IOTA maybe you missed the train, is 5$ already. I invested when it was 0.5$ and look at it now. I eared but now as I could, I sold much earlier. Well I don`t know what to do about IOTA now, I planed to invest more when price goes down, but will it go down? Question is now.
GameCredits is also good altcoin, I have some.
Powerledger is potential, I am looking for buying that one.
Stellar Lumens. cheap coin but in top when it comes to trading volume. This is one more altcoin that I don`t have but I have some plans to buy it.

I suggest before you invest in those altcoin you need to make your research first. The best altcoin that I can recommend to you is Expanse it is a really good coin.

There are some nice coins in your list, my favourites are: Waves, IOTA, Shift and POWR. The others are solid as well but more risky in my opinion (besides of Edgeless, this one is not that risky I guess). However I would maybe wait to buy IOTA or POWR as they had insane price increase lately and might face a correction anytime soon. Powerledger already dropped from almost $1 back to $0.6, but maybe it will drop more.

1 The waves try to develop the next scalability solution called NLG, correct me if i'm wrong but i don't see any potential to implement another scalability solution even there is no a dapps runs in its blockchain.

3 Iota gets so many hype and it will get another hype in the future. If iota will be added to the more exchange site and it will be better to buy it. Just waiting for another correction.

4 power ledger has the government backed the project and it seems to become a good thing. it may worth around $2 soon.

6 I really like how the developer runs the business plan in the wings platform.

hold your bitcoin until it becomes worth a shit tonne, then invest. Otherwise you'll lose in terms of btc price. Every time BTC goes up in terms of USDT, the underlying alt coin depreciates.

Just do what you think is right , most people here will tell you about the coins they are holding.
Do your own research and make choices based of that , in the end if you win or lose you only have yourself to blame.

For me just hold your bitcoin for a while because bitcoin are expected to be more expensive and got their very high price until January 2018, and if bitcoin got their high price its your time to invest to those altcoin you mentioned above.

Those coins have potential in year 2018. Lately bitcoin reach a new time high and most altcoins were bleeding, but waves did not decrease and still grew from $6 to $8. Well as for IOTA, it surpasses Ripple recently in the spot among crypto currency market cap,it exploded after it announces the agreement between Microsoft and Fujitsu. Also better than waves as it allows zero transaction fees.

Hey all.  Thanks for the response.  But when i say i wanted to invest in these altcoins, i don't mean i want to convert the btc i already am holding into these altcoins.  I would be using my money in the bank usd... to first of course get btc... then immediately use it to buy those altcoins i listed.  Thus if i could just buy altcoins with usd.. i would but i can't.  So why do most of you keep saying hold btc instead?  Because im planning to use my money in the bank for this.  But of course i need to buy btc first...the once i get btc... immediately buy those altcoins.

I saw your list you can add some more altcoins to your wish list but in your list I would say Waves, PowerLedger, Iota, Stellar Lumens are good choices to invest for Long-term. Apart from these coins you can check Monero, Ripple, Stratis and Etc too.

I’m a Stellar Lumens holder and think it’s a wise investment. When you look at the potential monetary flow against the total number of tokens, you can see there is lots of room to grow. Not to mention their partnership with IBM which will help its adoption into a variety of systems.

First of all I will advice you to hold bitcoin till February-18 as now days bitcoin making new high everyday, and its demand increasing huge so it will touch 25000$ till Feb-18.And still you want to invest in your given list I will prefer to invest in Stellar Lumens,  Waves, Iota. This coins can be double from current level.And I will advice you to also add Ether in your wishlist at current level of around 450$.Lastly invest your capital in this all coins partly and equal so that if any coin dump you not suffer lose in your all capital.

Probably you could invest on 2 or more of these coins. These projects are promising and let time decides on how much profit you will get for these.

I think the best is to hold your BTC as the prices are High and are expected to even get higher in price, so its good to hold instead of investing in Altcoins.

I would try to invest also that kind of altcoins that you mention, Actually i have some plan for now for that. It is my first time to doing that for buying some for long term altcoins i know it have some possibility to get some profit.

Out of those listed I only knew about IOTA  ;D I don't have any of those coins as I was stuck with ETH as my altcoin. Since BTC is mooning now I am thinking of investing into altcoins for the meantime so I am following this thread for good inputs.

I'm just wondering why you are not accumulating ETH. Before accumulating other altcoins, you need to do the basics. Accumulate Bitcoin first then accumulate Ethereum and after that you can accumulate other ALTs. Remember that you are accumulating ALTs to get more bitcoin.

For me I will buy the iota definitely. It is so good man, just buy it and hold and you will get the rewards I hope.

Regret of buying Kik, but that's life.

I do not have too much invest on the coins in your list, iota is one of coins on my list, I think it still has big potential though the price has pumps a lot. Also, I think the concept of the iota is very clear and the dev team seems to be very good at promoting, so I choose to hold my iota coin.

waves recently has hit all time high at 9.87 but now is down to 9.2 now good opportunitiy to buy


bitcoin sucks it has 60 usd transaction costs, you cant buy small things with it and you also cant buy big things with it that are created by many because bitcoins transaction costs also wreck its dividability

You have a good list of preferences. Waves is now expensive to buy. Power Ledger about 0.5 dollar is a good time to invest money. But you have bitcoin. The price grows, so leave bt before going down. When bitcoin goes down, the price of other coins will fall.

Hi there.  I think lot of you are confused with what im mentioning.  I have btc that im already holding.  I want to buy these altcoins but not with the btc that im holding.  I would be using my money from the bank to buy these altcoins.  But i first would need to buy btc since thats what is needed to buy altcoins.

Invest in the alcoins you can monitor its development and update. Can you monitor all this coins at the same time. I will pick Wave, though.

It is little risky in investment in altcoins because if you see exchanges you can see many of altcoins price actually drop down because of bitcoin rising prices, Now it is the right time to invest as buy and sell price is on low. when bitcoin price get stable than price of altcoins would rise.

I like the look of iota even after the recent spike.

The only other you may want to consider is onion. Very new at the moment but just spend some time listening to the guys behind it and see their road map. If it all comes together it will be very exciting.

Absolutely right and no doubt to buy altcoin today. If you just follow this eth market it is unbelievable market price . I’m just see this market before that was only 1 day different , when price was only 1 ETH = $500 but now this coin price is $700+ so you can buy not only eth , must buy altcoin.

Well, I'm personally more attached to Shift than is good for me, so I'd tell you to get it while telling you at the same time not to listen to me. But it's a legit project with a long history and a dev team that is willing to make it work. Started off as an Ethereum Fork, then changed to Lisk-style DPoS due to network attacks. Still an underdog, but promising. Wouldn't put too much into it, though. This is a high risk/reward play (btw. to be clear here, "high reward" isn't like 100x anymore, we are playing a different game now. High reward is more like 4-5x in my book).

Waves is solid. Not a fan, but nothing wrong with it. I can see it going back to its previous high, when alts moon again.

Iota is shit. That doesn't mean you can't use it as a speculative tool, but I stay away from it, because it is run by a condescending bunch of dickheads which seem to be stuck in their puberty or whatever. No. 1 popcorn deliverer on Cryptotwitter, though. But seriously, way overpriced.

I can't really comment on the rest.


Here's the thing, though:

I have a strong feeling that the alt game is changing. I'm not too sure how exactly, but this means that a lot of conceptions, truisms and past experience becomes invalid. There are a couple of things to consider.

In the past, alts tended to move as a somewhat homogenous asset against BTC and this started with relatively small diversification. I had around ten alts and I still felt I was basically trading them as a single asset vs. BTC. If alts start to decouple, this becomes less predictable.

We have way more assets in the market than a year ago and a lot of them are priced pretty high. This means that there is less headroom. This is mostly why I don't really believe in 100x pumps anymore. It's not like they won't happen, but they will become way more sporadic. In the past, when BTC lost like 10% market dominance, this went into small alts and there were less of them, meaning, those small alts pumped hard. Now, this 10% will be spread over a bigger number of alts and those are already pretty high, so the pumps will be smaller.

There are more players in the game. In the beginning of 2016, crypto had a marketcap of like 20 billion $. It was basically a bunch of nerd trading virtual pokemon cards. You could make 5x moves with absolutely no experience on totally bonkers bullshit news. Like a fucking rebrand. DogecoinDark becoming Verge with no technical improvement whatsoever was a solid 10x move and it was absolutely predictable. The first ICOs were a sure thing, there was no question whether you would make profit, the only question was how much. These times are past and one of the reasons is that this isn't the kiddie league anymore. More players means more smart players. And those people know damn sure how to play you and me.

Past altcoin pumps were not based on viability of a project. Whether it was a good idea or not was insubstantial. The value of a coin/token was (and still is) not based on its utility, but on speculation. I am really not sure whether we will see another pump like winter 2017/18 based purely on speculation, or whether the next big movement will be triggered by mass adoption. In that case, you can be damn sure that it's going to be a rude awakening for at least 95%, if not all of the current projects. Because here's the thing:
Let's say, you have a utility token that projects something like a potential future number of users of 100 million. That's what current speculation is based on: the assumption, that in the future, this token will serve 100 million users. But even if this is correct, you will have two big, BIG problems with this:

1.: Additionally to your token, there are a number of other tokens out there which serve the same purpose and base their speculative value on the same number of users. So, when those 100 mil users come, they will either choose just a few tokens (likely), which means that a lot of tokens will become useless, or spread over a number of tokens, diluting the 100 mil users per token calculation by a lot.

2.: The transition between speculative and actual value won't be smooth. Here's the thing: let's say, you actually have a potential of 100 million users. These people won't be there all at the same time the next day. You start with 10,000 users, then 100,000, then a million and so on. Which means, the projected utility and therefore value isn't true for at least some time. For you as a speculator, this might mean that you investment will drop considerably in price and that "announcing mainnet", "we are now open for business" or "we have now partnered with pornhub" are actually sell indicators.

Last point: we haven't really seen an altcoin mass extinction yet. There have been coins lost in the depths of the crypto ocean, but what we are witnessing right now, with all those coins popping up right, left and center is not sustainable. I'm not saying the extinction is coming, but I would consider it a definite possibility.

Sorry for my rambling, I was in the mood. What I am trying to say is this: this game is considerably harder than it was before. Don't let past performance fool you. There is a good chance that blockchain and cryptocurencies will have a bright future and that the 17/18 pump wasn't the last one we've seen, but I wouldn't bet on it being just as easy to maneuver through than the last one was. I would say that none of your choices is really low risk/reward. Maybe that's because you are hodling stuff like ETH anyway, but if you don't, if you're planning to put money into crypto, I'd hodl most of it in "boring" but established projects (Bitcoin obviously, others like ETH, I also really like XMR).

If you are planning to go in, average in. My gut feeling is that most alts will lose considerably more, but my gut has been wrong before. Maybe buy a small position now, gut expect a drop. In that case, buy some more. Try to find the levels you are comfortable with. Like Shift as an example, I wouldn't be surprised to see it lose like 50% from here. What would you do then? Panic because you bought before? Buy more?

After all this, only one last thing: I believe that privacy coins, such as XMR, ZEC and their copies will have their day in the sun at some point. Plus, they are an excellent hedge against a lot of fuck-ups that might happen. But that's just my personal gut feeling.

I want to say, I do not have too much investment in coins in your list, IOTA is one of the coins in my list I think it still has great potential even,
though the price has been pumping a lot. Also, I think the IOTA concept is very clear and also they also have a solid team that is able to promote it.

The investment in altcoin is very good for us. because indeed if we can be smart in seeing a potential coin then we will benefit from the coin. so my advice is to make an investment

Hi there.  So you believe in shift the most in the list of mine?  It went up to like 10 dollars at one point.  What price did you get it at? 

So you think the max it would hit is probably like 5 dollars then? 

Also people predicted waves would hit 50 dollars or more.  So that is impossible now?

From that list I believe only in power larger coin. Maybe weaves too, but too much more interesting projects for investment in top100 cmc.

You can invest on stellar, IOTA and Waves these three project struggle in the bear market time and gave the profit as along side whoever invested on them mate.

So people go with the coins which is so cheap. If you want to consider and invest on the coins then you will find the perfect coins in the top 20 coins list.

You have quite an interesting list of altcoins in which you would like to invest. I think that now in them can be to invest, and also I added still to this list EOS, ADA and Ripple.

You know what? you did a right thing purchased bitcoin first before buy altcoins and it's a good movement. Well, according to the OP I recommend you to invest in IOTA, WAVES and XLM (stellar lumens) the other coins that you've just mentioned above I think those are not good than IOTA, WAVES and XLM you might take another coin also such a ETH, EOS, etc there are lot of good coins out there.

Waves, Stellar and IOTA, I think this coin is good to buy. These three coins in my opinion have a good future to be detained for a long time. But, it's back to you. All choices are good, do what you think is right. The most important thing is to do research first before you buy coins.

I wouldn't! It is not known how they will behave, in terms of growth. Ethereum, this coin is time-tested. better invest in it.

do not have to invest in altcoins, you can also invest in the ongoing ICO, if the ICO is successful then the income you invest will be a lot. so it doesn't just depend on altcoin investments.

Currently, for investment, I am looking for completely new Altcoins, which entered the market not long ago. The main thing is that these Altcoins do not depend on the price of Bitcoin. For example, I invested two weeks ago in Darico Ecosystem Coin, I already have 25% of the profits.

Do with your own risk. A very good step, you have learned what you will buy first and consider various possibilities. You only have to do a deep analysis to determine the right timing for buying and selling. I think all the coins and tokens are very potential if we are able to analyze the right timings.

Nothing bad on your list of altcoins as I believe that every altcoins has potential to rise higher. It just need proper timing on the volatility of the market that we have. Do not invest if your in doubt.

For must better to invest in these day because some of altcoins are now is dump.
Maybe if we invest for now until the day it come back again to a high prices we can earn enough profit.

investing with ico is very high risk. considering the current market does not support especially lately there are many ico scams. In making decisions concerning investment on coins, it is not much the characteristics that we need to consider, but the trend and the market condition wherein whether the coin is good to buy or not. Just like now, we see the token volume change per day or depends on what time frame then think if it is good to buy.

I would agree on IOTA and Stellar, because Iota is popular due to the strength of its technology. Its system enables free transactions and the ability to process transactions offline. Im not familiar of those coins but when i do pick for the best investment(altcoins) i go with the eos or populous. These two currency have a higher price past year 2017 and now having a cheap price. Well that's a pretty long list but i would go for only Waves and Stellar Lumens as altcoins that i would admonish you to invest into. I remember i sold mine stellar around $0.4 but now it has gone down real cheap, guess i might buy more, hold and sell later.

Iota is also a very promising coin. You can invest in it 5 percent of your deposit. I would not choose the remaining coins either

it might be worth playing safe by having waves or stellar coins because it has greater potential to rise compared to other coins.
Remember that crypto is not currently in good condition so don't take too much risk by choosing risky coins.

Waves - I like this list the most, the price of it will grow steadily, and all the other coins are not particularly interesting, even despite the growing market which is able to raise any coin from the bottom

Wings now seems to be looking inactive, still not delisted in Bittrex yet but looking its volume now, it was not the same volume I saw before, it's really low and from almost $2 ATH now valued at only 0.04 usd.

See the market conditions that have increased again. We should be able to take advantage of every opportunity to make money. There are still a lot of coins that we can buy besides the ones you said above. But indeed, my most interesting coin is the Waves coin. Try to choose a coin that has a large capitalization in the crypto trading market, then adjust it to the feelings you have then execute. Of course this mindset will make trading relax because major coins are usually always up in price.

I think it will take a lot of time for altcoin to grow. Altcoin is in hibernation and has not shown signs of recovery since 2017. At least we will wait 2-3 years for a new altcoin season to start

Although this is an old post I can only go for XLM and IOTA. Nevertheless, you should always make your own research so as to make the best decision because everyone will only say what makes the project unique in their own way but you might have another perceptive to look at these coins.

I agree. The popular Altcoin tends to have a large amount of liquidity and is also traded at large exchangers. Investing in altcoin that is not traded in large exchangers is very risky because sometimes when we want to sell, no one buys it.

Well, even proven projects can stop working. If you think so. Say platform Steemit depends on the community of bloggers. But there are too many requirements and new users are not actually added. And that means only one such project can disappear.

On the list of altcoins you dropped, my favorite that I believe in for long term are WAVES and XLM.  In my opinion, their projects are solid rock since they've been rolling out top notch development updates. I also believe right now anyone who gets in will be in gains in future, but this is strictly my opinion, not an investment advise. I will also do some research on WINGS since I've been seeing positive reviews about it, but can't rely entirely on people's reviews.

If you already have btc and put your money in some other coins it's fine. And some of your coins are really good for investment. Like waves or xlm. But I would suggest if you are new to altcoins first trybsome big cap coins like Eos waves BNB eth XRP cardano. And then go for the mid cap coins.
