Even if they do short immediately, it's still their best interest to make it go up again. But I don't think they will, as there's a risk it would scare everyone away.
I'd expect them to let it double, and then maybe manipulate it down.
But manipulating it down to 1k, buying everything & making it go up again? There's a high risk that it'd just stay at 1k & some alt (like.. BCH) would take over. And I do think they are smarter than that.

The bitcoin value increases when there are buyers and sellers, so the bitcoin value is incremented over time and there are no stops until no one wants to buy it. This is also the way whales make money, they buy bitcoin at low prices in large quantities and start pushing games causing  bitcoin value to high. And they started selling all the bitcoins they owned and became richer.  ;D ;D ;D

You don't need to push someone to sell their Bitcoins, they have their own stategies and they can decide on their own. If you want to sell yours then so be it. You are free to do what you want on your Bitcoin.

I have long taken out my initial investment amount. It's all gains from here on out. That doesn't mean I believe bitcoin is going to die anytime soon, but it's stupid to assume that everyone here has their life savings in bitcoin.

Prices are declining now, but this is not a reference that you can tell everyone to sell Bitcoin owned. If you can think it can make panic, panic can worsen the condition and I think when we can have a better belief in Bitcoin then we can keep Bitcoin to be more stable. Our goal all this time definitely is to be able to have a much higher Bitcoin price, So do not do bad ways that can lower the level of confidence in Bitcoin. But the problem is how fast is increase and it will go down as fast as when it goes high.

Why are you on a panic mode? BTC can rally anytime, it's very volatile, it could go up or down at anytime. It's their investment not yours. A wise investor would always have an entry ane exit point. Pushing someone to SELL because, you feel that it's gonna go down soon, is just shoving your beliefs down someone's throat! Stick to you gut, and sell when you need. Exactly. There's no reason to sell our bitcoins, while it's only a correction/retracement for a big pump (I've seen endless times of this situation before, either on share stocks, forex exchanges, commodities and futures...)

Why would I be selling? People say it always when the price went down. Just remember that a month ago, price is half of the price of what it is now so because of the drastic movement upwards, a correction is happening and we know there are manipulators out there commonly known as whales and they just want to spread FUD to people so that they can buy it lower. You can sell all you want OP but many would still be holding their coins because we are far away from the mainstream adoption. There are so many non-believers of the coin and they just want to bash it.

Either people like OP are weak hands getting panic or they just want to make others weak hands by panic selling.Segwit has not solved the transaction problem but no need to worry about.Lightning network is in its beta stage and very soon,it would be activated.After it gets activated,we can send bitcoins and receive it as an altcoin on the other side.So,there is no need to sell bitcoins for such stupid reasons.

It's funny. Where were you when the price was $18k? If you are telling people to sell now you're already taking a 28% haircut, which isn't a good thing to do at all. We should not consider this as big crash without proper analysis. I didn't observe that much crash happend. Just look at the market its slightly maintaining the ~$14k level. Let's see the trend for few days and make a plans about buying. Panic sellers may be increased due to this slight down. But not all the time as its suddenly buped up from lower level.
Bad idea if we sell them now. I've been seeing those kind of selling alerts from 2017 beginning. So do not panic and the trend will back to the moon again

If you want to sell then do it no now is going to stop you but each person is going to decide what to do with their money, besides you post without any proof, you think those in the financial industry are going to invest money in bitcoin to lose it, do you think we are going to sell at 15k and then in 10 years they are going to sell for 3k, they are not dumb, they are looking at an opportunity to make money and I agree with them.

Bitcoin being decentralized is the true reason for the growth happening to such a level. The same is not at all possible with the other digital assets. You should not create any panic here as this is what many of you have been saying here when bitcoin was less than  $1,000. Keep on predicting doom for something that has values. The futures traders can only lower the price in other to buy cheap again and that is going to push bitcoin price upwards. I am not selling because there is no any reason why I should do so!

We understand how they works, they manipulate the price from behind and if you are too weak, then you will be lost at the sea. But if you know what you are doing, then you can ride with them.

And look what has happend now. Bitcoin futures have "hit the markets" and the prices ahve not tumbled at all. In fact when it did hit the markets, the price actually went up around 10-20% in a day or something along the lines of that.

Right now we're actually up to the pre-panic dump levels, which is a great sign.

I would say that the pumps will continue to come until next year at least, if you want to be bearish then you're welcome to. But please don't brainwash everyone to think the same way as you do.

He did that coz he think he can convince a lot of people here to sell their bitcoin. And when majority of people sell their bitcoin, then it might affect the price. OP seems to be a bit salty.
This could have several reasons.
He either completely missed the BTC train, sold way too early or was betting on alts and got burned extremely bad.
Whatever it is, this kind of attempt to spread FUD is just plain stupid and nobody buys it.

You posted this thread on 10th December and nearly after 4 days Bitcoin value is still skyrocketing. I know by selling you want to express the unexpected burst of the bubble, but I think this bubble is going to stay here for some more time before it bursts. People sold at 10k USD also and at 15k USD also, bitcoin volatility is unexpected. Hence, you cannot determine its dip and rise easily and bitcoin is consider as an asset if it faces a dip it will rise again soon.

All the users of bitcoin they know what to do and when they need to buy and when they will sell they know it very well because everyone know its price is very high and from last week a lot of people started selling of bitcoin because till to end of this year its price will still remain with high price or may be it go more high then ever so it’s a very good and right time to sell bitcoin because there is no doubt that all the users can take a very good profit from it.

Op made me chuckle in the same way a friend did the other day did. He was asking me how come billions are coming and going so fast in and out of the ecosystem. I realized he thought that when 30 billions go away it means some dude/s cashed out. As if there is liquidity behind every coin. And this is a guy that took out some loans to buy into crypto. You can try to teach these people basic economics and how markets work, but they'll still look at you with a dumb arrogant smile afterwards, thinking they know better. These people NEED to get burned, it's only natural.

I won't sell my bitcoin right now because I still wait a good time to sell and besides that, I am sure that the price will be increasing soon. I don't want to regret because I sell my bitcoin too soon and I learn from my mistake in the past so I'll be fine if I need to wait for that time. Well of course each person has their own predictions and have their respective decisions in selling, which in essence we all do not want to get regret at the end.
Certainly each of us has a solid decision to sell by observing the price developments over time, and of course not all of us are investing.. there are just trying to earn bitcoin only, and then selling it at a pretty hefty price.

No one is preventing you from selling your coins. But who you are, to ask others to sell their coins? Those who want to take the risk, are going to hold their coins for a much longer duration. It depends on the individual. Since no one has succeeded in predicting the future Bitcoin prices on a consistent basis, I don't think that anyone is going to follow your advice.

Don't sell. Because you lose a chance to get your money back. Maybe they are not stupid because they don't want to lose more so that is why they sell their coins because they are scared and other reason.  But maybe they have reason why they sell other is to buy more cheap coins.

These are the same experts that have predicting the end of bitcoin for the last 5 years. Every time there is a significant dip these big boys of the financial industry say 'I told you so'. Then of course bitcoin rises again and the cycle continues

I mean I can understand someone thinking price will drop, there are many topics about how bitcoin is going to 2300 or something and that is fine, you can guess that price will fall, if you guessed that price will fall for the past one year you would always been right as well so I am fine with people thinking bitcoin going lower and lower because that is a possibility.

I was too hyped and excited to have it. It was ment to be quick lambo :). Hopefully i bought only small portion of what i was willing to buy and i was buing constantly at 14k, 10k, 6k, 6k, 3,2k, 3,2k and my average buy is around 5,5k. I would be still on loss if i wasn't daytrading all days multiplying my bitcoin amount.

If people have to make money they have to buy on dips and not sell .If people like OP sell it and market recovers which it will be then it is better to hold it rather than selling it so that you can make good money in the investment done .

Yes, we have to admit that these both forecasts - that Bitcoin will rise in price to $ 20,000 and that it is necessary to sell our cryptocurrency, because there will be a sharp drop in price, turned out to be true. I will take you as a fudder paid just 1$ to make shit posts here.

First, I came to invest only to get profit. I am not hypocritical because I have suffered a huge loss during 2018. Also, I will get the crazy title when selling investments that I have now. Second, as long as the risks we will always face when deciding to invest, wherever the investment is, an investor will be faced with several risks. Third, don't focus too much on the bull run, cryptocurrency is not as sophisticated as you would expect, need a process maybe a few months until the cryptocurrency market is flooded with purchases.

When someone try to seel their coin they are not going to make any profits since it is reached the bottom line of this year so it is good to hold the coins until the prices gets recovery.It make sense tho if someone want to save 15% of their remaining capital if they invested at 2017 peak but I won't do it because I am ready to lose that remaining capital then only I can make something from it.

If you are frustrated with the current crypto conditions then you can go out peacefully and forget about it.
