Title: Publicly posting PMs Post by: jackjack on July 14, 2013, 12:33:10 PM Can someone explain me what's the deal with posting PMs?
I heard that people got banned for doing it and it looks like people don't like it (example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=255980.msg2727468#msg2727468) I can understand why it can be unfair/bad behavior but I don't get why it is that critical. If you send someone a message they can do whatever they want with it.

Compare "private interview" to "personal interview" or "private locker" to "personal locker". Something private isn't expected to be made public, but something personal is only owned by or associated with a single person, not necessarily with a strong guarantee of privacy.
