It could just be their standard maintenance and forgot to post that they are under maintenance.

I've just never got around to transferring from MyBitcoin to a home wallet - mostly because I want to be on top of security when I do so - took it for-granted that mybitcoin would do a better job than I could, but I think I'd be more comfortable looking after my own pennies quiet frankly...
