Which coin is going to be next Ethereum?

I heard a lot of people saying Waves could be the next Ethereum.

I'm looking to hold plenty of a coin which could be next Ethereum.

Most probably it would be NEM, Waves or Universa if it would be succeed, but it's too early to talk about it. But NEM or Waves have all the chances to become ETH 2.0 in a few years.

check out zilliqa, ZIL. It has the highest throughput compared to other public blockchain. Mineable & low energy footprint. The technology is promising. Tokens are sold out during presale though.

Universa is also good, I just missed the ico due to late confirmation of bitcoin, my bad

I invested in Universa too. You need to set a high tx fees to be sure that your tx will arrive in time.
If it's really so good as their WP declares it becomes very succeed project!

I think Waves maybe the next Ethereum.It has potential, but it takes times and proper strategy.

I believe Waves would be the next Ethereum, as it has already crossed $10. It has got a very good potential.
We may see it pump up in 2018.

I dont think it has to be the 'next' it could just be an improved technology.

Rootstock will be very usefull, and it's a bitcoin sidechain with merge mining. But you can't buy it, you just have to lock 1 BTC to received 1 BTC rootstock. It's great because sometimes speculation kill coin when they are pumped and dumped.

Stellar Lumens will be the next Ethereum. They have enterprise type clientele like IBM using their blockchain for handling financial transactions, and an ICO platform inside the wallet, making investing or trading cryptocurrency very easy. The information and tools on the Stellar Lumens website also make it easy for developers to build on top of the Stellar network. Stellar Lumens also can convert currencies, including fiat, into lumens or any other cryptocurrency supported by their platform. While Waves and Lisk are popular choices now, I think Stellar Lumens will emerge as the biggest competition to Ethereum, especially with the cost of Lumens trading a lot lower than competing platforms.

OF COURSE, EOS AND WAVES. If you ask me why, I would like to ask you again, why not?.

it is impossible to say, until they start putting money in it and pump it with lots of manipulation.

it is a good candidate, i admit it but it still is too small in my opinion and people haven't been paying much attention to it. it has no pumpers like etehreum either.

each year we have a new one for sure though.

usually pumps like this will take quite a long time to start and become big to reach the max. possibly one first huge pump then a little time between and another pump.
that means you will have enough time to buy it. just look for the most hype around those times.

I think that the scale of growth and prevalence similar to the Ethereum will be Raiden Network. In the first quarter of next year, we will see significant growth.

The Ethereum is not Bitcoin, it is constantly being improved and includes new technologies. Therefore, it can not become outdated

Buterin HER Father will not give her age ,will always improve I think ,so doesn't look like it will shift ,but there are worthy projects such as it but it is still not fully prepared on the technical side

I agree with you, it seems waves also have good potential with eth, but now waves still lags far with eth. plus every bounty and ico very much using eth-based coins. this is where eth until now become more popular.

As i bumped into this question, i am merely thinking of IOTA (MIOTA) alt coin with just 4.18 USD but earning the 4th place for having     11,616,574,298 USD worth of market capital. With that being said, there is a room of this alt coin for a price hike anytime soon since the demand is already high.

it is very difficult for alt others to replace the current position of ethereum, we know ethereum community is very solid and loyal, investors are still very fond of ethereum and its token erc20. now there are many good alt, but they have not been able or may not be ethereum in the future.

but nothing is impossible, we'll see later.

I am also thinking about that right now. Waves has smaller fees as of now but the only thing is most of it's features are in development and some others are not still available. Either way I am thinking to hold for at least 50 or more. The earlier Ethereum congestion put doubts in their mind.

Waves could surely do an Etherium kind of moon in the coming months. But I am more bullish about NEO, they have a lot of development scheduled for 2018 and are getting into great partnerships. I think NEO is a better choice than waves right now.

I think the next Ethereum could be Ripple. The advantages of Ripple are no risk of losing money or their theft and complete anonymity. The volume of Ripple's capitalization is almost 10 billion US dollars. It does not depend on bitcoins.
Ripple has already been recognized by several large international banks. This proves that Ripple's crypto currency is trusted today by users of the network, consider it promising and reliable.

IMO, in term of similar features, I will think it is Antshares. In term of price, I believe it is OMG.

My choice is waves because I see a lot of potential to replace ethereum, but is not easy to replace ethereum and it's too early to talked about it. We will wait in the future if ethereum will replace or not.

Folks there are lots of ethereum competitor in the market. Check NEO, other smart contracted initiators, they claim they're the competitor of the ethereum but it's not realistic for the moment.

They need very high improvements and developments for this.

I totally agree! I've seen some growth on NEO and am paying close attention, plus they will probably have a couple pumps on next year according to their roadmap

It's very hard to say, there are so many potential cryptos out there to be the next Ethereum. The one which will succeed will likely be the one which gets the most recognition from the community, and also have a stable product.

the problem with the large established international banks is that they are today large scale communists, that lend only to the rich (causing economic crisis) which want in term to rent everything to salary dependent slaves, that have to sell their time, working in those billonaires factories and living in their homes to survive.

i had 6 months ago a youtube discussion where i predicted and warned of them and i was right then, i can give you the link, those that didnt believe me invested into ripple and lost.

waves are adopting the smart contract so the waves project are similar to ethereum. Waves value is so high now cause eth transaction so slow that makes waves have a good potential to be pumped up by market.

I like Ubiq, seen a few Crypto reviewers on YouTube address it as Ethereum 2.0.

It is very difficult to make such an estimate. Because everything is changing at any moment.
But I trust in Waves and Ripple, of course in the long term  :)

Definitely waves. I mean ethereum with etherdelta integrated, but much faster and easier? 50$ when the hole market stays bullish.

There are two big shots is become next Ethereum 1st is Stratis and 2nd is Waves. Both the coins have good platform.

In my opinion, there are several coins that have the potential to be the next Ethereum. These are NEO, Waves, IOTA, NEM and Litecoin.

I think it's Waves.

The more I read about Cardano, the more I like it.  It's not ready yet, and still has risk that development will stall out, but if it's completed, it is the next generation of Ethereum.

In terms of growth and characteristics, I think that would be NEO. It's had an incredible year and still looking strong.

Have a look into Xtrabytes. It's a bit of a long shot at the moment, but if the team delivers and it succeeds, then the potential gains are huge as it's currently trading at an ATH of $0.08.The type of investment you would throw a couple hundred bucks into and forget about for a couple years.

No altcoin can ever be like ethereum! Having said this, i will answer your question by suggesting EOS. EOS on paper have the best smart contract capability and many other interesting stuff. But how it's going to achieve it's claim is what is unknown!

There are a few projects that have similar aims that could be huge. NEM and Cardano are good choices, although we are very early on with Cardano.
But there is no need to look for the next Ethereum... Ethereum is still the best :)

I think Waves and Ripple are both promising Altcoins that can be a possible the next leader of Altcoins. Although Ethereum is the number one Altcoin today but it experienced massive traffic congestion and it is considered as one of the major issue of the the Crypto-Currency network that needs to address to developers. Eliminating network congestion is the best way to attract more investors.

There are many coins now to be next in ethereum but its hard to specify because those coin have a good project and good volume of investors their demand are continuous increasing, WAVES, NEM and IOTA these are coins are next to ethereum but we do not know exactly which is the best in these 3 coins.
But i think we do not need to rate them whose next in ethereum the important is we can used them to make profit.

I'm not sure if this can become the "the next Ethereum", but it's worth keeping an eye on it. Experts see DASH as one strong cryptocurrency alternative that has a notable future.

The cryptocurrency jumped by about 30% in just a couple of days recently.

Beside Waves, in my opinion EOS can be the next Ethereum because they has some featured product which Ethereum does not have it like no fee for transfer.

look necessarily to the neo(it has support in China), omg(has the support of the government of Thailand and Vitalik Buterin), eos( formerly team BTS) , tezos and new ICO polkadot( former developers of Ethereum)

Waves potentially could be a rival and do the things that Ethereum is struggling with, it could be one that nobody is talking about, for example SKY was about years ago and I completely forgot about it but only just found it again recently and it seems to be coming back to life.

I have never heard of some mentioned in this thread for example Xtrabytes and Cardano so really it could be anything, worth looking into everything and make the right choice.

I think that the upcoming zilliqa  project, has the right aces to compete in this category and gain a top place in the coinmarketcap ranking, take a look on it! If they will succeed there will be  huge gains for all the investors

eos is still just a theoretical project there is no product there yet, and the team talks a lot of unrealistic fancy sounding bullshit like "open source company",

for me this looks like a huge publicly well sold fraud.

Waves claim to be the fastest blockchain ever but it didn't test the water like a massive traffic of transaction just like what had experienced by the Ethereum recently due to dApp from cryptokitties where some people gone wild selling and buying virtual kittens on Ethereum blockchain. Did someone heard about the Tangle used by IOTA, it is the counterpart of the Blockchain.

Hoping on Waves aswell, because I got some with real good price.

My bet would be NEM/XEM because I believe this coin has room for growth in the future and this coin has lots of upcoming projects too. For as long as the developers and the rest of the team are working constantly for the betterment of the coin it will have a place in the future.

Waves is the next Ethereum, Majority of traders are now holding it and the trust is very high.

In actual we can say correctly that which coin is better for the future as an powerful coin Because all does depends upon the demand and support by the users in cryptocurrency market .
No doubt that wave Coin have a better economical supported coin and also it have better demand but still we can see toward the another coins which are more similar and better by technology like wave coin .
Here in my opinion after ehterium , any coin can take place of ehterium than that will be only forked coin of bitcoin i.e bitcoin cash , bitcoin godl , bitcoin diamond etc .
Another coin that may be are stratis , ripple , monero , iota Because these are really having big potential users and investors , so we can expect that what they may be in future .

too many coin was release soon. so, you cant predict it but if you are talking to price, there has XMR, LTC, BCC and etc.

also for the wallet, the ethereum wallet and the waves wallet was the one that they use.

what dou you mean next ethereum? if you mean that the system i think waves is the next etehreum because right now waves have the smart contract like etherum, and maybe if some people see waves i think some deleoperof ICO wantto use waves smart contract from it

I think Boscoin is the next best thing in the space, so little hype around it, not surprise NEO too was unknown untill the price hit $20,  in coming days get some BOS tokens and you are sitting on 1000X return on your investment
