Title: [ANN] Seedom: The future of philanthropy
Post by: seedom on December 11, 2017, 05:45:02 PM
We posted this in the wrong forum. We are a DAPP, not a token.
See our service announcement post (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2567808.new#new).

Seedom is an Ethereum decentralized application for raising awareness and ether for charities in need while rewarding a single participant for their contribution and support.

Features
  • Philanthropic a new charity will be chosen bimonthly
  • Trustless trust in the charity is all that is required
  • Transparent all contract transactions publicly visible and immutable
  • Relevant our team only works with legitimate charities working on focused causes that have an ongoing need for assistance
  • Secure security provided by the Ethereum platform itself and MetaMask
  • Anonymous a wallet is the only requirement
  • Private any identifying information given is purged after each ether-raiser
  • Inclusive anyone in the world can participate
  • Affordable everyone will be able to afford an entry
  • Limitless there is no limit to the number of obtainable entries
  • Instantaneous payouts to the charity and the winning participant are immediate after the ether-raiser ends

Technology

Seedom’s method is similar to that of the RANDAO [1]. It begins with a hashed random seed provided by the charity, the collection of secret hashed randoms in a participation phase, and the revelation of these randoms during a revelation phase. The charity is used as a trusted third party and has complete control of their ether-raiser. All of the revealed random numbers are XORed together, beginning with all of the participant randoms and ending with the charity’s random to produce a final universal crowd-sourced random used to determine the winning participant.

Seedom wants to remain as transparent and as honest as possible in our trustless community. Our smart contract (https://github.com/seedom-io/seedom-solidity/blob/master/contract/seedom.sol) is available for scrupulous critiques. Our team members are public. We now want to engage the community and be sure that our contract is an effective use of Ethereum and free of any vulnerabilities. Everything is being made public and open source, beginning with our contract.

Interesting coin, so are the devs also 100% philantropic? :)

This is not a coin. It's a DAPP for raising money for charities. We are not seeking to raise funds through an ICO.
