If you just want to hide the transaction from your partner (1), it might be ok, but if you are looking at ways to "fool" authorities i would say it is not safe enough. Blockchain.info (.5% to launder last i checked) and inputs.io (new fast off-chain transactions) if you are worried about obscuring your trails.
