Title: [WTS] Ancient Rome 90% Silver Denarius 140 BC, Head of Roma (Lucretius Trio)
Post by: johnniewalker on July 18, 2013, 02:54:42 AM
Hi everybody,
I'm in need of some bitcoins so I've decided to sell one of my ancients. Its a 90% Silver Roman Denarius. It is probably the most "reasonable" ancient I have (a couple are in the thousands). I am asking http://btcticker.appspot.com/mtgox/115usd.png, which includes free insured shipping anywhere in the US. I am open to shipping internationally-I could do it for $4 unregistered...the price jumps to about $20 if registered. Although, I have never had a problem shipping regular First Class mail, I'll package it carefully and discreetly.

Interestingly (because of its modest price), this is one of the oldest coins I have at around 140 BC. The strike is not quite centered, but all features are prominent. It is this same coin:

w/auction price (a more centered strike with more luster):
