It becomes more and more difficult to use it.
It worked fine when I joined the site a year ago.
But I have more and more server side errors as I browse / login / trade...
It takes me an hour to place an order and actually I can't even login.

Eventhough, they doesn't seem to feel like there is a problem on their site :

I am currently considering moving everything I own to bitfinex or else as soon as their goddam site will let me.

I dont know about kraken.io but I think you were referring to https://status.kraken.com/ (https://status.kraken.com/) which has an uptime of 83.79% right now.

But I am on your site and am looking for a decent alternative as well...was considering gdax but I saw some complains about them.

Dude, don't store anything in Kraken other than when you try  need to sell, or find an alternative. We have enough horror stories with exchanges as example to show how we can lose everything (MTGox-BTC-e)
Don't trust anyone else than yourself

It will be interesting to see how much improvement the upgrade will force through. At least Kraken should do something to compensate their users for the horrible performance of the platform in the last weeks. Something like no trading (maker/taker) fees would be something that's expected to somewhat make up for how much people have been suffering unnecessarily. People not being able to access the exchange won't be able to trade in times where it matters the most (i.e. people lose out on great buying/selling opportunities).

As soon as Kraken's current issues are fixed and you can withdraw, take everything out and tell them to fuck off! If not, you'll lose it all one day. They've had problems for years and is currently the most unreliable and untrustworthy exchange.
