Post by: AlteregoX on December 16, 2017, 01:44:51 AM

What would you recommend me to mine ETH +DCR , ETH + LBRY or ETH + PASC?

What you want to do with mined coins? You wanna sell them right away or hold them? It depends on your "strategy" :)

I usually mine coins to hold (ETH) but i do not really care about the second coin so i might as well sell them sooner or later

Go with "most profitable" then.. :D

dcr seems really good still
i am always dual mining dcr
as when asics will release for dcr
it will pump its prices in the long run
as it happened with all other asic coins

Have you upgraded to v11 of Claymore and tried verge?

On my 1080 ti I can do 35 mh/s plus 1100 verge blake2s which is $3.15 a total but zcash is better.  I've heard smart cash makes a lot of money but I am not sure because whattomine does not display any earnings.  you could try dual mining ETH+smart cash using keccak algo on claymore miner

Definetly not as profitable as XVG.

Decred have not ascic mine this.

i found decred to simply take far to long to achieve anything. then the min payout on suprnova is 0.01 but the transaction fee is 0.005 so you pay 50% in fee or wait even longer.

guess its about what matters to you right. hodl or profit - waiting ages on eth and dec or waiting weeks on eth and seeing movement hour by hour on verge which has more room for growth.

apologies the timelines i referred to are my experience because i only have 2x rx 570 and a rx 560 so the road is long for me  :D

Now that ASIC's are out for DCR, you are much better off mining XVG with ~600% better profitability. You can also convert the XVG to HODL DCR if you want to.

I dual mined decred for a while. But it takes indeed very long before you have something mined. If I looked than at my power consumption, i did not make a lot of sense to dual mine.

I will try today to mine Verge in Dual mode.

Baikal has created an asic for decred, that is why the difficulty increased so much

Forgive my ignorance as I haven't read much about dual mining. I understand dual mining is profitable with the AMD cards, but what about the nVidia cards? I am currently mining Equihash and am reading up on how to get the Claymore dual miner setup.

Dual mining is profitable on both amd and nvidia. But mining equihash(zcash) is more profitable on most nvidia cards right now

Okay, thanks John. I will set it up and test it just for the knowledge and experience in case that changes in the future.
