Title: LTCMiner.io is a scam <<< BEWARE
Post by: cryptoiqtech on December 16, 2017, 02:37:05 AM
I saw ltcminer.io promoted by someone in a comment to a zerohedge post, and I decided to give it a try.

After spending about $60 worth of LTC, I was able to prove that it's a scam. Their website looks very professional, however, they lure you in to buy the next package above the one they promote as free, they pay if you withdraw small amounts below what you put in, and then all subsequent withdrawals stay as PENDING.

STAY AWAY from ltcminer.io!

All these "miners" are scam.  Do not invest into such sites like ltcminer, btcminer, fastminer and so on. Keep your funds in BTC or wellknown altcoins like ETH and let them grow themselves. Cloud mining with quick profit can't work, because even mining with own hardware and cheap electricity costs is only profitable at long term. So over 99% of so called "miners" are scam. And the two or three legit cloudminers, that may exist, are not profitable.  If you want to invest into any service, post it here, before you will invest. Here are many experienced members, who will warn you or maybe attest, that it is legit, if the service is serious.
Go to beginners and help section and read the tutorials in the top.

You have no one else to blame but you and you were only ruled by your greed to make more money with little or no effort then you decides to give it a try. Two lessons from here

1. Anything platform that promises returns with little effort is 99.9% scam especially all that relates to cloud mining.

2. Any advertisement should not be taken on it's face value even if its posted by a green trust member or even a legendary member rank you are responsible for your own safety by doing a further verification of what you read before deciding whether to go for it or not.

Maybe this is the owner of this ponzi site

and I decided to give it a try.

so you wanted to confirm whether they paid or not, but you should not repeat it because many people do it and even say "I just tried it with a very small amount, something like $100" if 1000 people try with a small amount like  $100, then the scammers will be more motivated to open another gold mine

This " Affiliate bonus 30% "  is the problem. you and many people may have confirmed that the site is scam, but the HYIP monitors who are still earn with referral commission will not say that the site is not paying

Thank you all for the helpful replies. I'm certainly a lot more aware of the risks out there as I learn more about cryptos during my journey into crypto land.

100% True. LTCMiner.io is SCAM. I requested payout 5 days ago, perhaps its just 0.01LTC, I didnt get nothing.

And yea do not invest on these websites as it always smells fishy, go with the free plans 1st in case you were tempted to test it out.

Cloud minimg and peripherals of mining resellers will be always scamming here. That is reason many people fear to invest on mining platform. You have to check about the GPU mining and ASIC mining as of now these both only profitable in mining.
Now if you want to start invest on miningcdo with the claymore dual mining for ethereum you will get the returns very soon when the price bumped again.

Plenty. If you do some research and use your common sense though, you will be able to avoid 99% of these scams. Anything that involves you making a lot of money in a short period of time is deserving to be suspicious of.

LTCminer based on some research is just like a classic ponzi.

The trend recently has been lending platforms, and these can be especially tempting to invest in. Just keep in mind that volatility bots do not exist, otherwise bitconnect would be a gold mine that is still operating.

Sites that expose scam sites include badbitcoin.org and scambitcoin.com. If you're really unsure then make a thread on bitcointalk.

The influx of brainless newbies is so massive, that the few people actually paying attention to these sites are on the very low side. It's not for nothing that genesis mining and a few related garbage holes managed to keep operating for so long. I rather have someone create a list of scam sites and potentially scam sites on Bitcointalk, and then have that thread be stickied on top of the page of the marketplace section by a mod. It will probably have a very small effect, but at least it might translate into less people falling for obvious scams that they see as legit operating 'services', especially with an eye catching clickbait style title, where in this case it isn't clickbait.

I won't give my expectation with the new cloud mining because I am not sure that they can give a real profit to us. there are more cloud mining like that and if we are not careful and we deposit our money then get prepare to get scam. I hope that he can take this as his lesson and beware of the cloud mining although not all cloud mining that is a scam but he still needs to be careful and always think twice before decide to invest the money to cloud mining.

Good suggestion but we wont know on when it would be possible for them to recognize such thing but in my own view they wont bother to make a sticky out of it since there are already sites which do make list about these recent and previous scam cloud mining sites in the market.Even though there are still unknown sites but yet having an experienced eye towards this would easily catch out which is scam or not.

It would be nice to have a very visible location on the first page of bitcointalk.org, but how would it be kept up to date without any misleading info? You may have posts that incorrectly identify legitimate projets as scams and vice versa, if it's left up to anybody posting. Having a dedicated team that is on the lookout for such scams with some sort of maker-checker setup to avoid bad postings could potentially work.

That is typically a lame strategy but sadly you lost $60 for their shit and thanks to you everyone would know how greedy those bastards. Their website should be block and someone should pull it down immediately before it scams another person. I just can't imagine that what if hundreds or thousands would put their money on that, those bastards are gonna get rich real quick.

Yes, very lame, not being patient got the best of me. Not to be repeated again.

those miners web are all scam, none of them are real. The real mining you have to do by yourself, your own hardware and your own place. better avoid them.

Not only patience would vary here but also knowledge and researching habits would really require for you not to commit such mistake. Most people do only learn up when they are already being victimized its much more better if we do avoid at first and dont wait for you to lose money this is why research is always needed.

There are still some legit but not yet guaranteed profits when it comes to cloud mining sites but most of them are just total scams and its really much better to build your own than on entrusting to those companies.

Maybe not all the scam, there is still a pay but very small.
there is no big advantage easily, this kind of faucet is just a waste of time. Forget and find a more real job, and proven income is better.
