I mined monero and similar coins with algo cryptonight. I know that when I started my miner used both the graphics card and the CPU at the same time. Do it set in the config file. I will not tell you exact instructions, because it has been earlier. Mining on CPU and GPU at the same time you can use two different pograms. I only use gpu for mining because my CPU does not provide great performance.
