Title: Jaxx Transactions Not Going Through
Post by: bhkesler on December 17, 2017, 05:12:16 AM
Hi Everyone - I have a bunch of Doge coin on a Jaxx desktop wallet and have been trying to swap it for bitcoin all day with no luck.

I've tried:
1. Using shapeshift within the Jaxx wallet - every transaction fails.
2. Sending the Doge to one of my other Doge wallets on an exchange (Poloniex, Cryptopia, Bittrex) - all of those attempts result in a failed transaction as well.

Any suggestions? I can't get ahold of support. I know it could be network congestion, but wouldn't that just make it take longer to go through? Instead, the attempts are just failing completely, and there's not even a record of the failed attempts in my history. It seems like something's not right.

I've tried resetting the cache.
And updating to current version (1.3.9).

I'm at a loss and REALLY want to swap this Doge for BTC while Doge is still at a peak. Anyone who can help me resolve would be my hero!

Have you tried to export your Doge private-keys and import it in a different software?

In Jaxx:
Menu -> Tools -> Display Private Keys -> Display Doge Keys -> Save the private-key from the non-empty addresses.

Then, you can use a wallet such as WowDoge (lightweight wallet, so you won't need to download the Blockchain) to import your private keys and spend them from there.

I have not tried that! Thanks. I tried downloading multi-doge wallet but importing the keys needed them as a certain file type saved with a special extension type and I was worried I'd do something wrong and lose them completely.

I'll try your suggestion about WowDoge.

I tried doing what I said with WowDoge and it worked flawless.

That's what I did:
1. Get your private keys by following what I said above;
2. Open your notepad, paste your private keys (1 per line) and save it with the extention "any_name.key";
3. Open WowDoge and create a new wallet anywhere;
4. Go to "Tools" -> "Import Private Keys" -> Select the .key file you just saved above;

You should see your just imported addresses in the list. Just select the one you want to spend, click the big Send button and spend your coins!
