Title: [CBT] CommerceBlock Decentralised Financial Infrastructure

Welcome to CommerceBlock

The CommerceBlock token sale is officially over. Thanks to all our contributors, supporters and partners throughout the token sale campaign. We can't wait to start changing the world with our technology.

The CommerceBlock platform is a commerce ecosystem that lowers legal, administrative and transaction costs by leveraging smart contract technology. CommerceBlock reduces third party risk and secures transactions by using a public blockchain in combination with cryptographic technology which privately embeds auditable trade details and business logic into transactions.  CommerceBlock has implemented a key derivation scheme that provably embeds data on the Bitcoin blockchain in a zero knowledge fashion.

The advanced techniques privately secure and makes auditable the trade and finance details, ultimately allowing for a more reliable and automated trade flows to emerge.  This negates the need to for private blockchains or unnecessary data storage on a blockchain and opens up public blockchains to use cases in finance that were not previously possible.

The CBT tokens are based on Ethereum ERC20 and are designed to access and execute services on the CommerceBlock platform.

Hello! Are there any bonuses when you purchase tokens? On which exchanges are trading these tokens?

It's 3hours 12 minute now before the CommerceBlock ICO come to an end! It ia amazing how people are rushing to buy now. Somebody bought 19 ether some hour ago. I saw another guy bought 5 ether. So, 3 hour is good enough to buy as much as CBT you want!

Bonus ended on 30% sale of CBT. You should watch out for the news about exchange CBT will be listed, on this thread. And of course you can always trade on etherdelta, CBT is erc 20 based token!

Less than an hour to go.  It always feels good to find an under the radar gem with real world application.

The fact that this project has gone under the radar is going to play out very nicely for investors.  70% of ICO tokens burned, and I heard a rumour about a potential partnership announcement post-ICO.

Dont get shaken out after token hits the exchange.  This one is worth holding and enjoying how it plays out.

What happened to the original thread?

Also admin if your going to switch to a new thread at least update your signature to the new thread.  I really like the tech on this project.  But the marketing and community management has been amateurish.

Thanks for pointing out Neil - have updated now.

Yes we have a small and dedicated team and were mainly focused on the token sale platform and making sure it was absolutely airtight - we wouldn't have wanted any problems that would jeopardise the token sale going live!

Points definitely taken on board - appreciate your feedback

Take it you can't say exchanges yet?

Hi there's definitely a bounty sheet and it's backed up on Google Docs so you won't be forgotten.

Bounties will be distributed around 22nd January (10% of company tokens are unlocked then to pay for token sale fees etc)

Is there any reason given as to why the admin deleted the original ANN thread?
I have some post in the thread for which I wanna be updated with the project and wit h that post means I have subscribed that this thread will be up for me to see what is going on every time there is a reply to that thread. I'm glad I have found this new one again.

Sure.  The reason we were given was the bounty program was incentivising people to post on the  ANN thread.  Our goal was to have ambassadors.

Hmmm. Just found the new thread; mprep is really over extending the interpretation of "No Give Aways" in this situation. Did he charge a fine to reopen the thread? The bounty program ended days ago so there really was no reason to flag the old thread and there wasn't the level of "shilling" that we normally see in other threads. I only recognized genuine project supporters. Anyway, moving forward, I guess the rules are meant to clean the forum of the chaos so we should appreciate the overwhelming diligence of our moderators, as long as they're not using the rules to extort "payments."

Well I am not one to judge.  The sad thing is I think the thread had lots of useful content on architecture and design of blockchain solutions which is now lost due something that really wasn't within our control.

Going forward we will focus more on content our our blog and twitter feed.

Honestly, many insghtful comment and techinical explanation of commerceblock project were discussed! Not to talk of different questions and answer couple with opinions that shed light on some area you may not have thought of! Deleting thread without warning is not the best!

Well, I actually think that our conversation was intimidating some inside investors of other technologies. That's how this place works. Serious projects get censored, or fudded, while projects like "Jesuscoin" get free passes. They tried to kill darkcoin and litecoin and ethereum and monero, remember? This space is not what it appears to be; it's dog eat dog!

In that case we strongly advise to proceed with extreme caution when using ED. Hardware wallets aren't affected, but as always try not to keep tokens or coins on an exchange to reduce third party risk. Also we advise using metamask and EAL to help identify scams

So if someone logged in with a hardware wallet like trezor they wouldn't have been hacked? I thought hardware wallets could be intercepted as well. Ordering one now. So bad to be robbed right now. Or any time

Yes using a hardware wallet to log into ED is much safer and always recommended

Lol I know about global advisors and others just wanted some juicy info on what's coming up with them. Especially because they own the company that made XBT and it is huge right now. So excited for 2018 too. Going to be a great year for crypto

I've been looking at projects similar to CommerceBlock, scouting out the competition, and I think that this project has that one ingredient the other's are missing - a realistic game plan with an organically organized community. The other's are either privatizing there platforms into collusively organized networks or making grandiose claims about their capabilities. The way CommerceBlock tokenizes it's platform will intrinsically galvanize its network while the competitors are going to have problems securing theirs.

Merry Christmas all!

Targets like that are what set CommerceBlock near the head of the pack, relative to the competitors, in my opinion.

why were you creating another new ANN thread for this CBT?
i bookmarked that page but i tried clicking that page in my firefox and prompts me error. you guys are quick in adding links in your website which led me to this new thread again. there is nothing wrong with your  previous ANN thread, why create another?  how much funds had been collected so far?

Original ANN thread was removed by forum admins.

We have sold 35.3% of the tokens.

So will you burn 64.7% of tokens? How does the burn work is it to a fake address or something?

Take it you can't say exchanges yet?

It's a burn address, this is the tx link https://etherscan.io/tx/0x57ed51782ed27588b2c110285ca981f9a7e19f6b3afc02bc106b69b0d1ee05e2

Burnt? 64.7% of total tokens?

True! And also pay always attention that Etherdelta url is the correct one. Once I've found a phishing link on Google.

We will be focusing on sidechains for most of 2018, we are planning to have first network by end Q2, after that we will be working on adding the advanced services on top.
We are working on updating website and the information, we will release a new one in the upcoming weeks.

I think the sidechains can be private if required by the customers. They can create tokens on it and have more control over everything this way. The customers would pay in CBT for the services (sidechains, smart contracts etc)
This is my understanding. Please correct me if wrong :D

There are several advantages for issuing tokens on public sidechain vs ERC20 in many use cases.
1. Flexibility and control: in some markets there is heavy regulation and compliance required (AML/KYC), the ability to control the sidechain in certain conditions is mandatory by regulators.
2. Efficiency: sidechain fees model is flexible, owners can use their own native token or bitcoin or CBT as a "gas", the fees are set to make it competitive, and since this POS based rather POW, it's much cost effective.
3. Interoperability: CommerceBlock sidechains will be interoperable with bitcoin and ethereum blockchain (CBT token)

This is another advantage, privacy is a challenge in Ethereum in general since it's account based with no confidentiality at all.
CommerceBlock sidechains offer better privacy in several aspects, one is confidential transfers where the amount and asset type is blinded, second is the ability to embed external data into addresses in private manner using BIP175.

BIP175 is proposal that we have submitted last year to the bitcoin community, it is based on academic paper Pay to Contract and Homomorphic Addresses, the BIP is an extension to the Hierarchical Deterministic Wallets protocol (BIP32), it adds support to associate data to bitcoin address, here is more info about it github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0175.mediawiki (http://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0175.mediawiki)
We have built a simple invoicing app to demonstrate this concept, you can access it here https://trade.commerceblock.com (https://trade.commerceblock.com)

We don't have that, sidechains will be managed by federation of functionaries, PoS is used for two purposes signing blocks and evolving consensus rules on the network.

It's in progress :)

CoinMarketCap requires the official CBT token registered on EtherDelta... this has been submitted so awaiting their action (although they are probably a little busy with their ICO!). Once the CBT ticker is officially registered on EtherDelta and the daily trading volume exceeds $50k the CoinMarketCap application will be complete

I saw some news about lightning network recently, is this relevant to this project?

Yes it's, CommerceBlock sidechains are pegged to bitcoin network, so adding lightning network will be natural extension once the tech matures.

You mentioned there's no masternodes, but what is required other than a server to run a sidechain for payment in CBTs? Would it require a certain number of CBTs?

Yes, in order to run a sidechain participants need to hold and lock CBTs, the sidechains are PoS based. nodes running the sidechain will collect fees in CBT, in addition in the future will offer services that will run on top of sidechain to offer more advanced trade and commerce tools these services will collect CBTs as well.

Do you have any idea how many CBTs will be required to lock in for the side chain?

Ledger rocks and feels so much more safer than everything else, especially uploading private keys  :o Don't want to take chances in cryptoland.

What's the first product going to be and have any release dates been planned yet?

Have you submitted CBT to coinmarketcap already? I would love to follow the progress there and see how the market reacts. All in all I view CBT as a long term hold, but still :)

Well done! Hopefully on coinmarketcup soon.

There is no separate market for OTC right.
Etherdelta has been quite buggy to use - have some people interested in buying some for current market rates OTC.
Otherwise will just have to wait for exchanges  ;D

Price is $0.13 already, seem a good time to start collecting but why is this not found on coinmarketcap when the trading volume exceeds up to more than $22K. They list coins when trading volume goes up to $10K also cryptopia is the easiest exchange to list an token, the team should consider doing this right when there are progress of the project.

Please make my bags great again sir! It has been crazy month so much red

Its starting to go up already, its yet not sure if it proceeds to go upwards but probably price correction still continues.  Hope this promotes CBT

Didn't really know about the incident of bitfinex subpoena until today its been said in this article. As far as I know the exchange never asked for ID verification, whatever happens to the investigation I guess privacy of individuals are somehow safe.

Really hope momentum goes to exchanges like, https://app.radarrelay.com/CBT/WETH

It looks like a much better dex than ED or IDEX from front end, hope it performs better too. They get the job done but very clunky and sometimes my orders never appear or looks like order works but disappears and do not like have to lock funds because they could have issues and you lose funds like a normal exchange anyway

Nicosey or Omashi general Ethereum question if you can help please?

Can someone send ETH or a token but with a 'smart contract' that allows the sender to pull the funds back without notice? Is something like that even possible?

Also how does a receiver agree to a smart contract, or is the contract only one way so from sender side?

Well you can do something like "replace by fee"  You're basically sending another TX with a higher fee to replace the already sent TX.

The token is not listed on coinmarketcap, I have no idea about the development stage of this project right now but I think the volume on this okex is just too low which is the reason why it isn't listed on CMC. It has to be listed to some other exchanges too. Dev is becoming famous for being a bitcoin believer in UK, it must add some influence to attract investors to this project.

Okay. I always thought it was just 10K its only now that they require to have at least 50k. Its good to see it can be bought by USDT too.
I was just wondering why this weren't getting much attention when the project has good potentials. I guess the team needs to have faults in order to get noticed - only the threads that were flooded with fud are  going to be updated and read.

Yes I thought so too but it definitely says 50.000 USD on the request form. So many new listings since CBT was distributed but just not CBT even when there was 50.000 USD volume and many silly coins but not CBT.

OKEX is biggest exchange with volume but that won't automatically make the CBT token do well on it's own. The CEO said in telegram group that OKEX launching a campaign after Chinese new year which is on 16th February.

Not long now then they promote big time to China!

Although I think that this project will eventually speak for itself, I have also retweeted. I am confident in this project because its value is intrinsically associated with the code and not artificially propped up by hype. This is the real thing; it's not one of those overly marketed unicorns, propagated by fake volumes, we find on the Coinmarketcap listings.

Don't you think you should initiate all these as you are the ones going to provide the information to them, all they are going to do is update the coinmarketcap. I think they'd listed you in matter of days because there is much volume of this coin in OKex.  The listing in CMC will give you more exposure to people willing to invest on projects like this one.

I don't understand why coinmarketcap still hasn't added this awesome project? I saw a lot of requests previously, all vainly.

Just to be clear we would like nothing more than to be listed on CoinMarketCap.  However CoinMarketCap have repeated said we don't meet their requirements without any explanation.  We are however all other listing sites such as CryptoCompare / Blockfolio / WorldCoinIndex

Whitepaper of that project looks deserve attention, so i hope you do it.

I still don't fully understand the whitepaper but I am not very technical. Technical folks think highly of it, so I am happy.

Commerce Block have hired doctor researchers. Shows intent to write more like it. Sidechains sound complicated, makes sense.

But when the project is suitable and specific plan to promote the project ... Need to have a detailed plan in the project so that people do not have to think much thinking,  believe in the project. I find it quite interesting!

i bookmarked that page but i tried clicking that page in my firefox and prompts me error. you guys are quick in adding links in your website which led me to this new thread again. there is nothing wrong with your  previous ANN thread, why create another?  how much funds had been collected so far?

Original ANN thread was removed by forum admins.

We have sold 35.3% of the tokens.

Why removed by admin?

Price below ICO, sigh.  ::)

Depends when you contributed, esp in USD as price differs today by a reasonable amount.

During token sale BTC range between 10k and 18k, ETH range between 550-860.

So BTC contributors are square or up, some ETH contributors are slightly below and some way up

Good to see CBT finally listed on CoinMarketCap!, volume has more than tripled, now we need the circulating supply to be updated.

Once the circ. supply is updated it will finally join the "recent gainers/loosers" tab, that will bring a lot of exposure.

A great long term project, still around ICO price, long term HODL for me.

Congrats to the CB team!

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/commerceblock/

its correct.

Numbers, from the telegram-

1,000,000,000-     (Minted)
300,000,000-       (Partners)
270,000,000-        (Company-30m)
256,743,314          (Burnt)
=
173,256,686          (circulating)

Company tokens
Out of the 300,000,000 of company held tokens, 30,000,000 was moved to a separate fund for ICO launch costs etc. Approx half of this was used for general token sale costs, the remainder reserved for things like exchange listings

thanks for clearing this up, also looks like CMC removed the other 'CBT' which accidentally got added to the page!

Yes, would still like to see Radar Relay added.

The volume of this project is gradually increasing. Good job.  Okex is one of the best exchange but if you can list this on binance it will definitely explode. Everything that binance added can become a high value token. I just saw BCN turn 10K satoshi from being 90sats this is just only in a day. Maybe they will add this if they learn about the project and when they see the volume is growing.

But when the project is suitable and specific plan to promote the project ... Need to have a detailed plan in the project so that people do not have to think much thinking,  believe in the project. CommerceBlock has features that reduce legal, administrative and transaction costs, reduce third-party risks and secure transactions ... and the project also shows how to implement them. I am very interesting. With the amount of tokens sold, it can be said that the project has received high attention from the community.

Coolio! I'm looking forward to your progress. Pretty under the radar at the moment. Sucks that there's so little liquidity because I would love to increase my ICO stack. I guess you guys will need to work with offchain data as well. Look into Chainlink (https://www.smartcontract.com/) in case you require an oracle service. I'm not affiliated and this is not a cheap shill that's why I won't praise it. DYOR and don't let the memes fool you.

Yep yep!!!

its about time though. its CEO i remember wasn't really that known in crypto but were invited to speak for big audiences which is why i also see this project to have a good chance of getting a post in the future. i only have few of this token, not worth dumping but i'd like to see the project succeed eventually. this has the privacy feature right?

MainStay leaf sidechains on the CommerceBlock network can choose their network fee currency. This means leaf sidechains can pay out in Bitcoin, so you can stack sats on a Bitcoin sidechain with your CBT GuardNode using their Decred inspired stake ticketing system  8)
