Title: Weekend Project: USB Block Eruptor Coffee Warmer Post by: JinTu on July 24, 2013, 07:33:16 AM We recently had a surplus of hard drive heat sinks at work from old drives that were being sent out for destruction/recycling and I snagged a few of them on the way out the door. This weekend I wanted to have some fun and decided to turn one of them into a coffee warmer with some spare parts and two spare Block Eruptors I had laying around.

I was considering cannibalizing one as a heatsink for a K1. I'm in the UK and would happily swap for any parts / components that would help me DIY build a K1 nano or a fraction of a BTC to cover postage. From the same server(s) I also have a bunch of 90mm cooling fans (12v 0.31A) if anyone can use them (I think I have about 30 of these!) Rasberry pi, wifi dongle, custom made hub array... Code name heathasher, no fire hazard, no noise, looking insanelly good, standalone, hashing 30GH/sec Great decoration for modern place. Pub version could have coin slot and qr printer :) Who is interested in that idea ? I need to find a suitable thermal tape I can buy, other than that I'm ready to go. I'm more likely going to use epoxy or a glue gun to attach the USB cables to the underside.
