Title: Bitmain S9 with invalid subnet mask
Post by: Gabrics on December 21, 2017, 04:49:32 AM
Hi,

I miss-typed a number and it seems that I bricked my S9's controller :(.

What happened:
On the network config tab I typed the IP the values.
IP: 10.10.19.158
Subnet: 255.255.0.0 > Here I entered 255.25.0.0 which is not valid
Def.GW: 10.10.10.1

I clicked save and the invalid (non continous) network mask seemed to brick the controller.

It is not answering on the static IP, it is not answering on the previous DHCP IP (no ssh, no ping, no HTTP0.
Black factory reset button doesn't work either.

Any idea would be welcomed how can I get this controller back to life.

Thanks in advance!

hey suggest you shut it down and put it on a router which can serve DHCP address and see if it gets an address from the router after you power on (wait for 5 minutes or so)

Nope, unfortunately it won't ask/get DHCP IP.

I never got this error be4 but doing the 3rd reset method creates a new ip for the miner. So, it should work.

The IP reporter button restore helped indeed :)

Thank you!
