Everybody ask that BTC below 10k nowadays, but do you think BTC will above 20k start of 2018? should we invest? coz its near to 10k and i sold everythink and wait to below. what do you think about it ?

Ya off course it is possible that bitcoin will be 20k in start of 2018.

Now Bitcoin price fall down because so many people selling bitcoin for xmas. Bitcoin price is very volatile. I think we could invest on bitcoin. Because in my opinion bitcoin price must be increasing after xmas and hit 20k start of 2018.

Nah I don't think so, we need around $200 billion pumped into crypto to see BTC price of 20k, $200 billion is not a small money, it will took us couple of months to pump that kind of money into crypto, and since we are going down right now, people are going to be traumatised by crypto, less people are going to buy it.

This is not the main reason that BTC price dropped, but it should be not an issue for BTC to reach 20k in 2018.

I think if Bitcoin continues at this current pace of fees increasing daily then it is going to crash and there won't be significant development for a few years. The developers are working on more layers of the blockchain like Lightning Network, but these things take time. Network security is important - and should never be overlooked. At the same time there comes a point when fees get too high people forget about and stop caring about Bitcoin altogether. Let us all hope that doesn't happen and we find a solution very soon. :)

Its hard to say because when tje value if bitcoin goes down. There are so many people who sell their bitcoin because they panic. But i think bitcoin will rise up again from the dead. And prove this panic sellers they are wrong.

In such time people usually spending money and enjoying their free time.
I really think that BTC will reach 20k soon again but not at the start of New year.
Any way, now is very good time to invest because of current btc price.

Yes why not, bitcoin has all the potential to cross 20K in start of new year. The current price drop is nothing for it to overcome again.

I do not think that Bitcoin will go down to $10k. $11k is the bottom. And it also cant reach $20k in the begining of 2018, at least the June, 2018

20 k U$D is a lot to say , BTCcan even gave a swift decline in its value due to the current ICO mess(if u know abt it) and it might result in the fall of the value of BTC however its expected to expand after this while mess is cleared up and it would a bright sunny day for the BTC users.Current reports suggest that BTC might face a downfall of abt 8k USD i.e it might go below 10k (hard to imagine right) and if this happens it would surely affect the crypto currency in devastating ways.

Look at the volumes. Those who had purchased their coins at less than 10K per coin have sold their coins and vacated the scene. Now those who remains are long term investors and loyal early adopters. And the prices have climbed by around 25% during the last 1-2 hours, which indicates a small recovery in the exchange rates. So I am optimistic.

I think it will rally from where it is at currently and bounce between say 14-15.5 for the next few weeks.  Very low chance it is above 20k when we hit 2018.   

Remember the old sharp crashes, in september this year for example. It was also big. But bitcoin made almost 7x after that low point. I believe the same thing will apply in bitcoin very soon. My answer is yes.

yep, this is a hell of a correction, pretty scary but in the last 2 hours BTC price rise up a bit more, we're "only" -16% compared to yesterday.
This makes me a bit more confident we will get back on track soon, still there are issue which have to be solved but we're ok-ish.

See watching the current graph of bitcoin and taking help from some technical analysis its quite difficult that bitcoin could once again sore to 20K by end of this month. But crypto market has been a market of instability and volatility. Supporting the fact is an upcoming fork on 28th December. So it might just be possible if people want to take advantage of the fork. Worthless to say that people have not been quite interested in the fork since its inception so not sure whether everyone would be willing to enjoy it.
Haha thats quite optimistic of you or I would say its rather pessimistic of you. But hold your card if Roger Ver the jesus make some tantrums this Christmas then you could surely see bitcoin dipping down to 5k.

It is not impossible that bitcoin will be more than 20K USD in the next year we just do not know what month it is going to happen.
Yes we should invest in bitcoin. My friends invest in bitcoin and now they are all rich persons. It not yet late. There are just early.

It's not very likely to happen. In recent hours we can see recovery, price is going up again, but reaching $20k is way too much. On this weekend Christmas and New Year period will start, and I expect that crypto markets will calm down a bit. Banks will not work on these days, so people will have difficulties by depositing fiat to trading platforms. But at least I hope that BTC will not drop bellow $10k bellow.
P.S. Do we really need Bitcoin price pumped to $20k again without any important reason?

I'm sure that by the end of this year, the price will not only recover but will reach new highs. We witnessed another speculative whales. During the week they can earn more than twice. I feel sorry for the people who would panic and sell their coins. Guys remember that the stronger you hold your coins the higher price. You can say that your income is in your hands.

Not at the start of the year, but you should know that the price is going to go up soon, so you do not need to worry about.

ın last weeks the price of bitcoin was very high. ıf it increased like last weeks we could say that bitcoin would end year with the price of 20000 dollar. but now the bitcoin is about $ 12,800. it seems difficult to see 20000 dollars in the next week.

2018 wouldn't start with 20,000$ for bitcoin,because this is the correction period,one or more whales have already dumped their holdings of bitcoin,and there is panic selling again taking place,so not firmly sure on the the price rate will be on New Year/January 1.

Check the charts. The prices are close to $13,500 per coin, after rising by more than 30% during the last two hours. Now tell me one thing. If the prices can rise by 30% in just two hours, can you really rule out them rising by another 50% next week? Right now predicting the future Bitcoin price is just impossible. It can be reached $5k if possible before new year, but after that it will rise more than 15k. Think wise before investing as we all know how much it rised in couple of days. So many people lost their money with exchangers and most became scams.

In first quarter of 2018 year it will rise to 20,000 USD I predict that. Maybe not so fast that we all think but it will be.

5k is so pessimistic, bitcoin reaching 5k will move all the fiat money in bitcoin which will not the favor of govs.

for high prices, bitcoin has shown that 20k is not hard, will be reached in Q1 2018, but its also possible that it goes for more higher price and target of 50k

this has happened this time of year every year i have been involved if you have coins dont panic sell.
Hold them and wait it out.
I could be wrong but what I've noticed is this is when a new bench mark is created and a new high achieved.
Then the bitcoin will go back up to that new high people start talking about how its back and it will go up to  x y z. look at your price charts at this point and if you want to sell start after the first or second price point that goes above the last high because the third is the people that buy to late and unfortunately lose out if they sell and the price point die down some.

but i am a believer that this coin and ethereum will go up again after xmas no is the time to buy. dash and bitcoin cash is a good op if you cant afford bitcoin because they have set a high bench mark also.

the topic is actually already much discussed, bitcoin does have tremendous potential. I honestly dont predict the upcoming bitcoin price that I know bitcoin still has the highest price and has a lot of interest from the world investor who want particpate in the world of crypto

It will reach 20k before 2018 starts. It will rise faster than expected and will most probably even cross 25k by the end of January. The only problem is volatility which results in such staggering price fluctuations.

Market is in the red at the moment, but everything is possible.
If we see one more wave soon it will hit 20k.

This isn't the first time Bitcoin Price went down. Just keep calm and hodl

Nothing is impossible in life so I believe that it is possible but practically approaching is not going to happen as bitcoin is in the serious correction mode so we have to wait and watch whether bitcoin will be above 20k before 2018 starts. My opinion is not going to happen practically.

i am from australia and im on kreken as a exchange but only on tier 2 because the verfication is a pain is there a easier way to get verified just to trade large amounts of cryptos only im not interested in trading for fiat can anyone help me out and point to some exchanges.

Yes of course. If we are talking of possibilities here, there should be. If you ask me if BTC will surely hit 20k then my answer is NO. In some events regarding bitcoin issues, there may be a possibility that it would deflate.

Probably you are writing this without even watching the price action. Beginning of 2018 is very difficult for 20K after today's panic selling that was caused by those whales.

I believe so if my speculations are correct I believe with the price down many smart investors would find it wise to buy stocks of bitcoin now that is completely low as compared to the previous prices, many bitcoin believers would tend to show their trust in bitcoin which could result to increase in demand and possibly increase of bitcoin price.

Momentum is being generated right now for a huge bounce. Whenever a bitcoin went a dump of 40%, it is always followed by a massive pump. Same is going to happen in 3-4 days. Just keep patience. I saw mainstream media is spreading FUD and whales are cashing the opportunity while weak hands are falling prey.

If we analyze last 4-5 dumps that took place this year. A massive pump follows 30-40% drop. From that statistics, it is safe to say we are heading towards a bullish run to $20k in coming days and it would happen before the year ends.

Yes, Bitcoin will rise above 20k at the start of 2018 easily. The fall might stay for only a short phase and then it will regain it's value. So, it gives us two choices at the current situation either bitcoin will stay near $10,000 or it will grow back to $20,000 again. Bitcoin is expanding its user base over the globe and this will totally help its price touching new values. Also, bitcoin price shout up in days so if its price falls one should not panic and sell as it is only a small dump nothing else.

No one will be able to tell the future, anybody's predictions could be right in this time of bitcoin's price unpredictability. I personally would stick to my cost averaging investment strategy and look forward to achieving my goal because I am for long term. Always expect the worst and Hope for the best.

Its a good job we got in when we did because we are still in profit even now but I'll be honest, it's starting to get a little scary.

I do believe Bitcoin will reach a new all time high again but no one can speculate yet if it'll be by the start of 2018 and I really do hope it would be by January so we could start the new year with a bang. Lots of people would be happy as well starting their new years with that amount of bitcoin. Monitoring the charts would also get you an idea if it'll reach that amount or not so keep an eye on Bitcoins charts before the year ends.

I don't think so! bitcoin will have its 20K mark a week after the new year celebration! why? people are still having FIAT to buy things and withdrawing from bitcoin is one of the ways they need to do, well after new year the money left on the pocket will be investing on the bitcoin community again and we can expect a more than 20K USD after that, I think before January ends bitcoin will be on 30K marks

This is an attempt by the institutional money to kick-out the small guys so they can push the price back up.

I appreciate your decision on selling your holding considering the situation but as you have funds in fiat currency and BTC is falling, you should invest in it with smaller quantity because it is the right time to get in and things can bounce back anytime. However, I am expecting much lower level than $10K and there will be many opportunities to get in the scene. On the other hand, I am optimistic about the growth in the year 2018 but things will move after March 2018 in my opinion. Please do your own research before making any decision.

Yes it surely will. Bitcoin has always beaten all the predictions and counter managed all the obstructions coming in its way whether it is the chinese ban or any big economist. But this time it has to fight with its own the hefty transaction fees are going to moon this time. I don’t exactly know what is the exact reason of such a big market crash but I would prefer you to be in Fiat until the dusts settle. The only reason which makes 20000 realistic is the upcoming hardfork and the Christmas boom

I think this is just a small attenuation. Below $10K seems difficult, because investors will make more buyings so that the price will soon be pushed back up. Sure, I feel bitcoin is so close to $20K in 2018 that it will happen soon and probably around february.

no I do not think bitcoin will above $20000 start of 2018 because the current price of bitcoin is nearly $14000 so there will be a very large amount to increase in short period of time so it is not possible but since from few months the price of bitcoin is countinously increase so that it estimate that the price of bitcoin will reach $16000 at the start of 2018. But the price of $20000 will reach in the end of January of 2018.

I dont think that bitcoin will be above $20k or even get to that price again, only if the people have trust again in bitcoin which has so many problem.
To maintain a solid ecosystem bitcoin needs to implement the lightning network quick or people will find other alternative.

Bitcoin is very volatile as how I observe it and I think it is not possible to reach 20k next year. I think the holiday spending contributes to the dumping of BTC in the market and investors are aware of that that's why they also ride with the dip of the coin. I think bitcoin will rise again and that will make more people get attracted to it.

According to my opinion and i think, bitcoin is no doubt having enough potential to reach up to the market value of 20k $ or even more by the start of 2018. It all depends on the demand of the bitcoin in the international market. If the demand of bitcoin keeps on increasing just like it was increasing, then there are likely chances that bitcoin will achieve this milestone. In fact, it can go even higher than this in the future.

It's meaningless. Basically everyone here could do the same. You can even choose to settle a contract where you believe that the price will reach the $100,000 mark next year, which has no impact on the market whatsoever.

John McAfee even predicted that he expects the price to reach $1 million in 2020, which for me looks more like an insane over exaggerated prediction based purely on current growth rates.

If he is a man of his word, and really thinks it will be worth that much, let him settle tens of millions worth of contracts to back up his prediction. As long as he isn't doing so, no one here should value his words.

actually it did had an impact on price, there are always such predictions that makes more people come to crypto and it will increase the demand part of trade, with little increase in support, it means price should jump, but when some buyers get disappointed and start moving out, price will face correction and it will come back to normal walk

Business wise now is the best time to buy bitcoin and others coins that has dropped significantly. I think by January next year we would return to the high fluctuations of price we have been witnessed. We should hope to see fruitful 2018 and to see the kind progress and bullish market we have in 2017. If next year will favor us and bitcoin I believe that bitcoin will be above $20,000 and if the current upward movement is sustain bitcoin may go above $40,000 by this time next year.

Price of Bitcoin will for sure go above 20,000$ in 2018. But will it reach 20k$ in January, well that we can not know. But from what we saw last time when price jumped, it is possible. It is possible because price jumped from 9000$ to 15000$ in like 2 days or so. And that is really fast, but it is not certain that same thing will happen in January. I personally doubt it will happen on first month of 2018. , to me February sounds like better guess.

Probably, but you should know that it will take a while, we can not expect to see the price over twenty thousand dollars in just a few days from now, just like a lot of people are doing right now.

No bitcoin can't be $20k in start of 2018 and I deeply feel that this is the best time to invest in Bitcoin as the price has fallen recently and will remain here for a few days or maybe weeks before another pump in which it can rise to $20k or more.

IMO, the prices may dip a bit during the last two weeks of December, as a lot many of the holders may be selling their coins in order to fund foreign vacations during the winter break.

People are selling there bitcoin to buy gifts for New Year, and Christmas. The maximum drop price is 10k i don't think it will decrease more. For me its just a temporary dropping. Its price will increase after these events. Its better to hold your coins and do not sell them. If the price fall it will go up for sure. Just believe yourself and in bitcoins.

People are selling beacuse of the christmas period. After the christmas ends, they will start to concentrate on the trades and they will show a high interest once again. This will happen very soon.

People kept buying BTC even the huge companies are buying BTC. It sure is possible that its price can rise up beyond 20k in the later years and 2018 is probably the year of cryptocurrencies. The regular people are already learning about BTC and all other altcoins due to adoption projects.

I don't think BTC will have start above 20K in jan2018. The price correction which has taken place in last 2 days has made this target look impossible. I think It will take around 1 month to again touch 20K mark. I could expect BTC at @20k at the start of Feb18 but definitely not jan18.

It totally depends on the no of people who are holding bitcoin for some longer term and if people will hold their coins and simply don’t get panic then it will help people to see 20k on chart otherwise this is bit difficult now because investors are getting panicked and people are suggesting them to take out their money and I am telling you this selling will give regret and nothing else and let’s hope for the best to see good for 2k18.
