Novogratz Sees Bitcoin Reaching $40,000 Next Year

Price will be 70 k end of 2018.

We all agree that 2018 will be the best year of bitcoin. I hold my coins until we hit 100.000 usd by the 2018.
Also i hold some altcoins to get as much profit as i can.

I think it's complete possible to see even bigger values. Some dudes bet on future contract few millions that bitcoin will be $50K at the end of 2018. I also want to see it because I'm hodling coins :)

He also says that Bitcoin could reach $8000 before that. The question is whether you have the stomach to hold on to your bitcoins when it drops to those levels. A lot of people who bought bitcoins during the last few weeks might get disillusioned when the price drops to those levels and might sell out.

Bitcoin is very good at getting rid of the weak hands, we know bitcoin can reach 40k eventually I do not know if it is going to happen in the next year or not, but the problem is that the trajectory is not going to be always up there are going to be moments where the price goes down, there are people that bought at 19k, what do you think they thought when they saw the price close to 10k, I will be surprised if anyone that bought at those prices is still holding his bitcoin.

I'd be interested to know whether the price fall was the cause of him chickening out of his hedge fund thing. If he believes in an $8000 BTC too then he should be ready to buy with both hands.

That is only what you think right now, but you have just "heard" that, there is nothing that can really prove that the price will go as high to $100.000.

I dont know, maybe it would be risky to buy bitcoins at the moment, the last time that i bought was when the price was less than nine thousand dollars each bitcoin.

I am not saying that bitcoin is not profitable, i am just saying that the price is pretty expensive at the moment.

Why on earth would it be $70k? Because you want it to be? When new buyers come into the crypto market (and there aren't many left) why are they going to buy bitcoin instead of one of the dozens of other alt coins that can now be purchased just as easily, and are technically superior?

We'll see whether Novogratz will get his estimates and predictions correct this time. Props to the man who correctly called that $19k was the short-term top and haven't risked his clients money by postponing the creation of a new hedge fund. While he may seem to be just another regular banker, he has high hopes for crypto and believe that it is the future of money. $40k is quite far from where we're at right now, but with the current situation of the Dow, it seems that those money are just waiting to be poured in a different asset and bitcoin is indeed a viable one.

$40k next year could be barely a scratch on where we reach, or it could be a million miles away. We really cannot say with any great certainty. I am of the belief that by the end of next year the price will either be lower than it is today or it will be much more than 40k.

Totally fine with that, it would allow me more time to accumulate some BTC. Or if it goes 100k like people have saying I won't complain either, really it just seems like a win-win at this point. Hope this guy is right though, lets go non knowing pundits!

You must be keen on saving John's member. John is most likely using whatever time he has left with it because not many people believe we'll go above $50k anytime soon.
With what I saw in the first month of this year I'm not expecting another rush towards $20k this year and that's all. The sale pressure at 20k is going to be huge again and we'll end up bouncing from it. There's not enough money on the market to bring us to $50k or more.

I really like to see all the predictions where the price of bitcoin crosses every record all the time,but as darkangel11 said,for the market to cross those valuation you need to have billions of dollars to be invested in this market and even i too think that the price will get a huge sell pressure when the market reaches $20k and we might need a longer time to see the market trading above those levels.

As they always say, aim for the moon and if you can't land in there then you might go to the stars! To counteract all the negativity affecting the Bitcoin market, I am glad that there are also some people whoa re really bullish with Bitcoin and continue to have a strong faith for its eventual rebound. As shown in the roller-coaster history of Bitcoin, there had been similar ups and downs before and the same thing can also happen in the future. This is not like the fake TheBillionCoin
 (BC) where the value is rising continually regardless of what the market situation is. Now, as to whether this prediction can come or not, we will leave that to the time ahead.

there is a lot of money in the market that can bring bitcoin price to $50k and above and there is a lot more where that came from standing outside of the market watching and waiting because they don't want to risk it or  because of a lot of different reasons such as all the FUD that is going around.
we never thought there would be enough money to bring price from $900 to $20000 in 2017 but you can see that the rise happened and it happened very easily.

I think it's possible.

Novogratz? who are they are they what so called expert predictor? or just simple trader who's hoping to find good price to sell their hodl bitcoins? But I would apparently agree on their little prediction since $40,000 is close mark and possibly if correct adoption and huge buy orders will surge the price will totally reach for that price.
