Depending of OS you use in your smarthphone you can choose from 1 to 11 different mobile wallets.I never use any of them, but Electrum and Mycelium are very popular with users of Android OS.If you have the possibility I think you should definitely try them first to see if they meet your needs. Also be sure to always download original version and that your smarthphone is not infected with some malware.

For more info you can check here : https://bitcoin.org/en/wallets/mobile/android/

Of course you need a Bitcoin wallet for this depository and currency transaction. ... by a team of experts in the field, Blockchain.info is a provider of free Bitcoin wallet facilities that can be relied upon.

Yes, also that is my recommended wallet to every user here in bitcoin. Coins. Ph is usually used by the Filipino users here in Philippines and this wallet is very trustable for many people.

You should use ethernet compatible wallets such as myetherwallet, coinbase, blockchain. If you are a commercial enthusiast choose a trading platform and let eth on the trading floor that will be better for you.

To feel safer you need to have multiple wallets. I do not use hardware wallets. To store your bitcoins with xapo and I use multiple accounts on the exchanges. It's where I store bitcoins which I use for everyday purposes. And I recommend you to do so. But each purse its own rules so you need to focus on what works for you.

What do you find difficult in using hardware wallets? In my opinion, they are designed to be easy to use and so they are. For Android, Samourai Wallet is the best choice for now. It supports SegWit and TOR routing so it will be cheap to send transactions. Electrum and Bitcoin Core are quite good PC wallets. Bitcoin Core forces you to download the whole Blockchain (every single transaction that was broadcasted to the network). Even though Electrum doesn't do the same, it is still secure because it allows you to encrypt and manage your own private keys.

Use the wallet to store your bitcoin, by the phone or gadget you use...
Compatability is the best choice......
Try to use wallet also that you can use to cash out or cash in anywhere in the world..

I want to share to you my strategy in managing my coins. 30% of my coins are in the exchange site wallets for faster transaction whenever I want to buy or sell coins. 40% are stored in their own provider wallets and the remaining 30% are on some mobile and desktop wallet like coinomi, jaxx and exodus. This coming January, I'm planning to buy hard wallet which s the Ledger Nano for a tighter security of my coin. Just want to share this, I don't know if it will be effective for you but you can try. :)

There are several topics talk about this issue, you can review. For Bitcoin, there are many types of wallets, but I recommend using software wallet that is installed on your computer, which is more secure than online wallets, I think so. As for ETH, MEW is a top choice for many people. In addition to ETH storage it also stores all of the altcoin built on the ETH platform, which is very convenient. Moreover, its security is also very good, users hold private key and completely control their own property

really kak, in my opinion also the wallet is not just one course, we better make the wallet a bit more. because the bitcoin if we have only one wallet then we will be bothered, because the bitcoin we have to do well and do not hurry.

In current situation is majority of the hackers are increasing in digital market. So we should safe our wallet account. Different types of wallets are available in the market. We should choose the best secured wallet because some online wallets are not safe. Paper wallets are best secured and easy to access in anywhere in anytime.

This depends on what are the coins you will place on that wallet. If you want a ERC20 wallet then you should try MyEtherWallet and you can create a account on Cryptopia which is also like a wallet but you can trade in there as well.

I am not sure about etherium since I am only storing Bitcoin. I am using an online application called coins from playstore. I am suggesting it since I find it useful. It allows me to cobvert my Bitcoin to fiat whenever I want to and to put it back. I can also monitor the market price of Bitcoin with this app and also allows me to cash out my bitcoin.

Im using coins.ph here since it is user friendly. Try researching online on what's available on your country. Try looking for an ewallet that gives realtime update on bitcoin and has many partner establishments so that you can easily cash in and out.

For mobile wallet, i suggest you to use Coinomi wallet, and a great point is you can sign in and verify message using this wallet.
For wallet with support ERC20, you can use MEW (Myetherwallet) for sure

If you are using smart phone, i would recommend blockchain.info for your bitcoin storage purpose as this wallet is very secure and you need not to provide documents for verification like coinbase and others. For ethereum, you can use myetherwallet.com, this wallet works client-side thus not able to read your private keys and you can also use myetherwallet to receive all ERC20 tokens

I don't really think that paper wallets are so easy to access or use... If your PC is connected to the internet, you can't be 100% sure (if you don't need 100% then paper wallet is OK) that you are the only one who see the private key when you enter it into your web/desktop wallets when you are about to spend some bitcoins from the paper wallet. Also, when you have spent some of your bitcoins from a paper wallet, it's safer to move the rest to another paper wallet, just to be on the safe side. This is valid for bitcoin and ethereum too. Paper wallets are really handy to store but when it's about spending, it becomes complicated if you care about security.

Absolutely do not use an online wallet because you can experience connection problems at any time. Also remember, no purses that do not own the private key belong to you. For this reason, the private key is your own key. Can be anything in the Crypto money world, but if you have a wallet of your own, you will be away from all kinds of danger.

I would personally recommend blockchain.info which will suit you fine if you do a lot of traveling. Just make sure you set up all the security features it offers you. Write your recovery seed down and keep it safe, have a 2-factor authentication log in set up, have a second password and require email verification on log in. If you have all these set up correctly then your wallet is very safe and is arguably safer than a lot of standard desktop wallets. You can also either log in via the site or phone app, and if you log in via the app you can also use fingerprint log in if your phone supports it. Both desktop site and the app are very simple to use and are basically like Paypal for bitcoin. It also supports eth as well. Alternatively, you could also just keep your money on an exchange but I would only recommend this for short periods of time and not long term unless you're actively trading.

If you are always traveling and accessing your bitcoin in your mobile mycelium will be a good choice its a very simple app but very trusted you can always import new private keys or connect to your hardware wallet, for storing ether using mew is also a good choice Im using it for months and no problems encountered.

For bitcoin you can use coinbase. Its a vital one. Highly secured one

If you don't want to store your Bitcoins in a hardware wallet Electrum (desktop) is the best since it support segwit (will not recommend mobile version because I experienced some bugs), but since you want a mobile Bitcoin wallet then I would recommend using Mycelium app for storing your Bitcoin it gives you a phrase to recover your Bitcoin and import it to other wallet that supports importing recovery phrase and will recommend MyEtherWallet for storing your Ethereum and erc-20 tokens, it is a web wallet but still one of the best if you don't want to use a hardware wallet because here you have the full control of your private key.

Jaxx is my first one and I like it but i am also aware that it can be hacked because the
pass phrase can be read from file and decoded but you can switch your MicroSD card
on an android device and run it from a spare card and swap back to another card
when not using it.

Sure is cheaper than a hardware wallet and it also come with shapesift built in
so you can covert say from BTC to BTG or ETH

I like it for day to day use and anything is better than Coinbase in my book

Only a wallet with 2fa? You are wrong my friend, the best thing that you can do is just use a ledger nano or a trezor wallet, they allow multiple altcoins, and you do not need to have 2fa enabled.

Well, i personally use mycelium for BTC and MEW for ETH. remember, it's best to use a wallet with full control over your private keys. here are few good options i can think of.

Web wallets:
Coinbase - BTC, ETH.
Blockchain.info - BTC, ETH.
MEW - ETH.

Android apps:
Mycelium - BTC.
Copay - BTC.
JAXX - BTC, ETH and several other tokens/currencies.

I have a wallet at www.[Suspicious link removed]
they have a phone app that may be useful to you
if you don't own the private key then you don't own the coins and sharing it is not a safe way if you ask me.

Coinbase owes me my Bit-Gold because it is my decision if i wanted to sell them days after the fork
but i was not given that option and because they already scammed me out of $10 of BTC then forgive me
for not trusting them to ever give me access to my "Gold" and the same would had happened with the
Segwit2x fork that starting in three days time so this is the reason I took my coins out and put them in
a private wallet.

BTC is supposed to about decentralization and P2P but if you look around today it is anything but that
with these brokers and this is also applicable to the miners and look where that has brought us with the
fees that went from $0.10 at the start of the year to $40 today

I give you two. You can use coinomi or freewallet. All can be downloaded from google playstore if you use an Android phone. Both have seeds you can copy and keep in a safe place in case you lose your phone and want to log in back. Good wallets to use, l must tell you.

Ledger Nano S is probably the safest crypto wallet among other, but it is also the most expensive one. I'd suggest to use any free desktop wallets such as Bitcoin Core, Exodus, Electrum and etc. to keep your coins safe.

JAXX - BTC, ETH and several other tokens/currencies.

About 60 other coins now and built in ShapeShift to convert between them

Has a security issue because they did not mix the 4 digit pin code with the 12 word restore phrase
and the file it uses is encrypted but the private key is known and other apps on you phone could
read this file and upload the contents to steel your coins.

I use it but keep the app on a separate MicroSD that cost next to nothing but apart from that
it seems spot on to me and I hope they fix this bug

But this gets tied in with a Nano server so if they vanish then you are stuffed as i see it and they might not work with
some alt-coins but feel free to put me right if I have this wrong.

Please, I am all ears

Coinbase has been here for a long time but their fees are quite astronomical and not everyone would feel the same about paying such high fees  for a measly transactions and so we tend to try others like electrum and the likes which afford you the platform to be able to choose which rate you can afford.

Yes and when prices start to come down from a spike Coinbase keeps having "Technical Trouble"

I dare not test it with $45 transaction fees on BTC but i want to test send my Coinbase account
$10 of BTC to see if the fake public address they gave me works (Your coins held by them are not
on the block-chain) and to see if they charge me a fee or not.

Sorry i have very little good to say about Coinbase having put them to the test.

Choosing the right wallet is affected by many factors. It can range from the country you belong in down to the OS of the smartphone you own. I guess you really have to do an intricate research to assure that your wallet can provide all your needs. What advice I can give you is that the first attribute you should see in your wallet is that it is trustworthy and that it assures your security. It should ask for verification without being invasive. Furthermore, your wallet should be flexible. Some wallets allow transactions with other wallets to be smooth while others have some bugs which can cause delay. Lastly this wallet should allow you to see daily real time updates with regards to Bitcoin. This will help you keep track of your coins. Good luck in finding the best wallet that will suit your needs!

Since you travel alot, it would be better to use a paper wallet, it is the easiest way to keep your coins safe and take them wherever you go.
On the other hand, using paper wallet can't be the best choice for evry one since it can be lost easily.
Think of using an online wallet, you can access your funds at any moment. But be sure to chose a trusted and well known one.

Well, you need to make it sure very fast as wallet is an important thing.
For me, the best option thing is still hardware wallet, the smallest one can do if you travel a lot, but it wont be convenient if you do some purchase through it as you need pc or notebook to do that.
If you want some best mobile wallet, the best around (by people preference and quality) are Mycellium, Electrum, and Blockchain. As for me, Blockchain is sufficient and give me no problem up till now.

Another vote for Ledger Nano S.  Super easy and I am always able to show a newbie how to use one in under 15 minutes.  Very safe as well.  Best wishes!

Many wallets can be choose, depends on your preference.. There are 2 types of Wallet we can use to store bitcoin, ie Desktop and Web. But this time I will only discuss about Wallet from a third party Web alias. With this web-based wallet, we rent a place to accommodate our bitcoin balance on their site that provides bitcoin storage facilities, but just be quiet we're not sure the content of this site is safe and reliable anyway.

The advantages using Basic Desktop Wallet or App:
- We control the balance of our bitcoin balance.
- We are free to determine the transaction fee, but this is no longer cost more to be faster, it is feared to happen pending (not yet confirmed transactions) very long, even the possibility to fail.

Disadvantages Using Wallet or Desktop Basic App:
To connect data with a server that is usually long time.
- Prone to data theft due to virus attacks (for Windows).

Advantages of Using a Web Base Wallet:
- Easy to trade, because online 24 hours.
- Easy to disbursed into currency for the purchase of other digital assets, and certainly lower payment fee, if we transact with people who use the same wallet service provider we will be free from the name of the fee.

Disadvantages of Using a Basic Web Wallet:
- All controls are held by the owner of the web wallet, we only have access from it.
- The transaction fee is determined by the wallet provider.

I like to use myetherwallet, coinbase, and blockchain because it easy to use.

This wallet is secure and more convenient to use.You can pay you bills, loads .Also you can send money without any fees if you send a btc to another coins.ph address.

I would strongly recommend you to use Blockchain, currently the wallet in my opinion already has a very interesting feature. Even the security also has a much better level than other wallet. I've been using the web version of Blockhain for 4 years and used mobile version blockchain for about 1 year. During that time I was comfortable and I used Blockchain wallet as my primary wallet. So do not worry because Blockchain will give you the convenience for every transaction and support your mobility, you are free to do Bitcoin transaction whenever and wherever you are.

Ledger is a really Good wallet it's very secure and easy to use as well. Go for the ledger nano s it's a bit pricier than competition like Trezor but it's much more convenient and useful in the long run. If your talking digitally Blockchain will serve you well and wherever possible use 2fa

There are plenty of wallets that can be used like coin.ph, etherwallet, coinbase and many others but I can recommend you to coins.ph because of the better quality and fast money transactions, there are flaws It happens but it is immediately avoided. It is easy to withdraw peso money from ATM machines, Cebuana Lhuillier Pawnshop and others.

So you are a traveler with busy schedule and that's why you are requesting for Mobile version then you can go with wallets which are comfortable with android versions something like Mycelium and Electrum. Other than this I will recommend you to use Hardware wallets which are highly secured and easily portable with you anywhere you travel. Hardware wallet like Trezor, Keep Key and Ledger Nano s are some of the best Hardware wallets available right now and you can purchase them from Amazon at a very good price. I myself own a Trezor and Ledger Nano S and they are working superbly. I will not request you to go for exchange as they less secured than other options.

Im using myetherwallet. But no matter what software wallet you use if you are not careful about your private key or password that will be given to you in order to unlock your wallet and you accidentally post it online or you accidentally send it to someone you know, for sure somebody can hack your account. So when software wallet is about to be discussed, we should be careful or not to be foolish that others can easily know our private key so that our money in our wallet will not be vanish.

All wallets are secured if you secure your login credentials from phishing/hacking attacks. It depends on the coins in your portfolio as ERC20 tokens require different wallet and myetherwallet is best for that, bitcoin required different wallet and blockchain is oldest and widely trusted wallet.

you need to have multiple wallets. I personally do not use hardware wallets. To store your bitcoins with xapo and I use multiple accounts on the exchanges. It's where I store bitcoins which I use for everyday purposes. And I recommend you to do so. But each purse its own rules so you need to focus on what works for you. And there's the prising difference too so you need to watch out for that too.

For cold store, I recommend electrum. It is very easy to use. Easy and concise interface and lite installation.

That means low transaction fees and speedy confirmation of bitcoin transactions. Coinbase is also a good online wallet but its transaction fee is really high. Hope they will enable segwit soon .

For those who want to make a profit quickly, they will store on e-wallet online to easily trade when it is profitable. I use Myetherwallet for offline store, but online is Coinbase.

Here in our country, we already have made and generated our own virtual wallet in name of coins.ph but just only cater storing of our national currency which is peso (PHP) and cryptocurrency in name of Bitcoin (BTC). But when I asked my friends of other virtual wallets for storing of Alternative coins or Altcoins, they truly recommend me to use up myetherwallet.com and waveswallet.io which is the most commonly used wallets when you are going to join into various campaigns. Based on my experience, I also do truly recommend using myetherwallet.com and waveswallet.io for virtual wallets.

You can use Myetherwallet for holding your ERC-20 based coins. I don't find this website difficult to understand. In fact, it has a pretty easy interface. You will learn it with a few tour. I don't recommend mobile wallets when it comes to ERC-20 tokens because most of the ICOs prefer MEW since it holds a variety of tokens. You may experience some problems if you skip MEW as your token wallet options. In terms of btc, I use a mobile based wallet called coins.ph. It is easy to use and is convenient to convert fiat to btc or vice versa. I just don't know if coins.ph is available in other places outside ph, definitely not.

HW wallet or paper wallet is the best for holding for a long time. For a daily use try mycelium
He said it that he's having hard time to use hardware wallet so it can't be recommended anymore. For wallet app's the most popular I've known are mycelium and breadwallet. There is also another interesting wallet that has been mentioned somewhere here in forum and that's samourai wallet (I never used this one).

From my point of view the cold storage is the safest place to save your bitcoin or other cryptocurrency. The cryptocurrency should stay in an offline wallet + cold storage in a very secured offshore vault, fully insured, hackerproof and theftproof. It simply doesn’t get any safer than this.

I recommend Myetherwallet because Myetherwallet is already proven cheap and safe.
Myetherwallet also has a lot of wear and the average person likes this wallet.
I myself also use myetherwallet as my wallet to hold the coins I get.
if you already have a wallet then keep your wallet do not let others know the contents of your wallet.

I'm not sure about hard wallet but I use some cryptocurrency service provider or use some exchanger to save my coins.

Myetherewallet for my eth, the rest for bitcoin using local exchanger and global exchanger. Btcvip indonesia for local exchanger and poloniex as well as bittrex for others.

you can also control the flow of your commerce from android or your smartphone.

There are different types of coins and you will choose your wallet depending on the coin you are holding. I can only suggest an altcoin and you should use myetherewallet for your altcoins because i did not get any problems from it and most of the traders are also using it to hold their coins.

Most of us here were using myetherwallet. And i highly recommend it.

I only beleive in hardware wallets to keep my coins safe from external attacks and don't knew much about soft wallets but there are some online which tries to provide maximum security to investors like Coinbase is one of them and you can rely upon it.But choose very wisely as there are many available but it depends on you which wallet to choose.

In your case I would recommend to hold your coins in several different wallets and also in some good exchanges. Split between different places.
Just because there tend to be problems now and then with one or another wallet, we never know, which wallet gets hacked next.
MyEtherWallet is having sequrity issues, not long ago there were problems with BTC Electrum wallet...

Using this strategy you will not lose all your investment if one of your wallets get hacked.
Exodus is a good wallet for several cryptos. You can find comparative reviews of crypto wallets, also mobile versions in the Internet. Just choose which one fits best your needs.

I think it's good to have a hardware wallet anyway in case you have long term holdings. Trezor is a good one for that. Just find a perfect secret place that no one but only you know, and put your Trezor there for when you are traveling. No need to take it with you to your trip.

I definitely recommend myetherwallet, you can always check the reviews from the web or check it for your self. I also recommend it for newbies since I experience it first hand as a newbie how this wallet works because it is very user friendly and I didn't have a hard time figuring out its technicalities since it has plenty of easy to follow tutorials and steps to make my wallets more secure.

Bitcoin security is one of the biggest problem we want to deal with here in the forum. Bitcoin or other coin/token cannot be store in other application and sites and hold it privately. We all have that trust issues in every matter specially in money and other costly thing. Here in the Philippines we have our own wallet (Coin Ph) don't know if it is compatible in other countries. I also used MyEtherWallet because of its features and high quality security.
On my opinion search for a wallet/s that is compatible on your country and have high quality security.

There are a few themes discuss this issue, you can survey. For Bitcoin, there are numerous sorts of wallets, however I suggest utilizing programming wallet that is introduced on your PC, which is more secure than online wallets, I suspect as much. Concerning ETH, MEW is a best decision for some individuals. Notwithstanding ETH stockpiling it additionally stores the greater part of the altcoin based on the ETH stage, which is extremely helpful. In addition, its security is additionally great, clients hold private key and totally control their own particular property

I prefer using myetherwallet. And it is one of the most highly recommended wallet in the crypto world. It is because it's my first crypto wallet and I love it's safety and security measures. Until now, every time I apply for a new Bounty and the form asks for my ERC-20 Wallet Address, I prefer to give my myetherwallet address since it is way more secure and safe as long as I still have my private key stored in my files. What I also love about myetherwallet is that there are many ways to open your account, not just by using your private key. I really love myetherwallet. Try and know what I talk about. Just make sure that whatever wallet you will use, make sure to have your security measures on your wallet account to avoid being hacked and to avoid losing your crytocurrency. Be vigilant and stay safe always.

In great detail the quality became essential for me to trust it directly, Xapo is my exclusive Bitcoin Wallet. Once multi-wallets become more mainstream I can adjust using that for alts such as DogeCoin / LiteCoin, etc. I do not use hardware wallets. To store your bitcoins with xapo and I use multiple accounts on the exchanges. It's where I store bitcoins which I use for everyday purposes. And I recommend you to do so. But each purse its own rules so you need to focus on what works for you.

For Eth, MEW is less secure than other wallets in the ethereum ecosystem so i recommend to use MEW offline and MetaMask.
For btc, i don't know about Bitcoin-rx Inc you mentioned but i would recommend Bitcoin Core 0.16.0 (latest stable version).
For any other crypto developped in the top of other technology, i would always recommend offline wallet and hardware wallets that they are the most secure and no need for support in most cases.

Paper wallet wise if fees isn't that much of an issue coinbase is quite good and is more secure once you enable 2fa. Hardware wise ledger nano s is very portable like a usb stick. Eths on the other hand can be easily accessible on myetherwallet. In the long run though a hardware wallet is recommended.

If you are really concerned about the security then you can go for the private key backup just like old days and don't forget to get a extra layer of password on it, if you want a simple to use wallet then go for green wallet or better go for electrum wallet that way you will get some access to your private keys. Don't forget that old wallets still now do not support segwit so you have to be a little picky in the store.

I am still skeptical of problems with myetherwallet who are always not sure can completely save the data from the user, even until now there has been no clear statement about this erc-20 wallet. Central wallet revolution is required for more secure user safety. I hope to be full of blockchain or platforms other than hardwallet to instantly realize it.

Hi there,

i'm quite unsure about where to save my btc and eth. personally as i travel a lot i will have difficulties using a hardware-wallet, so i was thinking of a kind of mobile version. is there anything you could recommend?
So far I've never used wallet on mobile because I still worry about its vulnerable security, but I still use my desktop wallet. I guess with you using web wallet alone is enough if you can control or control entirely on your web wallet.

The best for me is Coinomi It has the shapeshift.io exchange built in and just works flawlessly. You get a clear overview of all your balances, and Coinomi combines this balance so you can see exactly how much your crypto is worth. Coinomi is open source, stores your private keys locally and encrypts them. This makes it a really safe wallet.

Supported Coins:
BTC, ABN, AC, AUR, BTA, BELA, XBC, BLK, BRIT, CDN, CCN, CLAM, CLUB, COMP, DASH, DGB, DOGE, DGC, EDR, EFL, EMC2, ETH, ETC, EXP, FTC, GAME, GCR, GRC, NLG, INSN, IOP, JUM, LDCN, LBRY, LTC, MONA, XMY, NMC, NAV, NEOS, NVC, USNBT, NSR, OK, PKB, PPC, PSB, PIVX, POSW, POT, RDD, RICHX, RBY, SDC, SMLY, SLR, STRAT, SYS, UNO, XVG, VRT, VASH, ZEC, XZC
Wallet type: Cold storage, encrypted
Desktop: No - coming soon
Mobile: Yes - android only, iOS soon
Built in exchange: Yes
Safety: Very Good
Ease of use: Very easy
Open source: Yes

The wallet that i can recommend for you to save your btc and eth are blockchain and myetherwallet there are both famous wallets, very safe to store, and very convenient to use, but the wallet i mostly used is coins.ph a wallet that is famous here in the Philippines that you can store both eth and bitcoin, it is also very convenient to use and very safe to store.

hardware wallet - one of the most reliable ways to store bitcoin and crypto currency. Ledger Nano S is the most popular and reliable. its price is the lowest among all, it provides an opportunity to store all popular crypto-currencies on one device, which is very convenient.

It depends on your country on what is the top digital wallet in your country. Here in the Philippines, most of us are using Coins.ph that has so many features aside from Bitcoin and Ethereum trading. We can pay thru online with rebates for the first unique bills. However, the fees are quite high but I know there are reasons behind that fees like maintenance and improvements of platform.

I am a great fan of hardware/offline wallets but as you said, hardware wallet is not convenient for you then you can go with multiple paper wallets while you travel. I don't feel comfortable while using the same paper wallet more than a single outgoing transaction so I would recommend you to hold your funds in multiple paper wallets and extract each paper wallet before your every use on the web wallet. You can transfer the remaining amount from web wallet to the next paper wallet after doing the transaction.

Actually, having multiple wallet will help you to make more secure your bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Furthermore, I usually use online wallet because it is very easy to use and many people prefer to use it. Lastly, if you really want to secure your bitcoin you should use online wallet.

I recommend Blockchain, is a Bitcoin no. 1 is the most widely used worldwide. This blockchain is only a recipient of Bitcoin. No features as complete as most other wallets. But even so, Blockchain is the first wallet that can accommodate Bitcoin. That's why many users are using this Blockchain wallet.
The advantages of this other wallet is very closely related to the economic development of Bitcoin, because this wallet is a reference in the development of Bitcoin from the beginning first. I think to sign up for this Blockchain wallet I do not need to explain, because it's very easy. Users just follow the instructions given by the Blockchain and then verify the email, more or less so. Users can also view transactions made from all wallet accounts, including sending and receiving.

Ethereum is a very technical currency (even more than Bitcoin), therefore most wallets out there aren’t newbie friendly. I will go over them from the simplest to the most complex so you can choose the one that is best suited to your knowledge level:

Hardware wallets
Coinbase’s Ethereum wallet
Exodus wallet
Jaxx Wallet
ETHAdress
MyEtherWallet...

You could utilize Myetherwallet for holding your ERC-20 essentially based coins. I don't find this site extreme to perceive. As a general rule, it has a quite smooth interface. You'll examine it with a few outings. I don't propose cell wallets with regards to ERC-20 tokens on the grounds that the majority of the ICOs select MEW since it holds a determination of tokens. You can appreciate a few inconveniences on the off chance that you pass MEW as your token wallet choices. In expressions of BTC, I exploit cell-based pockets alluded to as coins.Ph. It is anything but difficult to apply and is helpful to change fiat to btc or the other way around. I just don't know whether coins.Ph is to be had in better places outside ph, surely not anymore.

It depends on your needs. From my experience paper wallets are the safest provided that you keep a copy in a safe box and several other copies in alternative safe locations. But if you are a short term investor or a trader then the paper wallet would be a pain in the neck. The next best option are hardwear wallets ( or cold storage devices ). There are several in the market, two very exceptional ones. However, if you want to buy them just don't buy them from eBay. User the original manufacturers website and order it over there.

All the best!

I'm quite unsure about where to save my BTC and eth. personally, as I travel a lot I will have difficulties using a hardware-wallet, so I was thinking of a kind of mobile version. is there anything you could recommend?

Depending on OS you use on your smartphone you can choose from 1 to 11 different mobile wallets.I never use any of them, but Electrum and Mycelium are very popular with users of Android OS.If you have the possibility I think you should definitely try them first to see if they meet your needs. Also be sure to always download original version and that your smartphone is not infected with some malware.

For more info, you can check here: https://bitcoin.org/en/wallets/mobile/android/
Thanks for the advice. This is a very good idea too for me. Because I also need a wallet that can be on my mobile phone. So I can travel anywhere quietly and make any transaction so easy. My suggestion I will use now to simplify everything I want to do.

The best portfolio depends on you. There are some basic differences, but you will choose the one that fits best.

Centralized Wallets - You trust your coins to someone or company.

Decentralized Portfolios - You are responsible for everything. You are your own bank.

I use Electrum for Android. Decentralized. You only need to save 12 words. It may be on paper. ;)

Here 3 wallets of 2018 I recommand:

1. Coinbase’s Ethereum wallet – The simplest option Coinbase supplies an Ethereum wallet as well as a Bitcoin wallet. Coinbase’s wallet is simple to set up and very easy to use, however it has a few limitations you’ll need to be aware of:

The company holds the private key of the wallet for you. This means you’re not in control of your funds and Coinbase can decide to shut down your account if they want to.
There were cases in the past that Coinbase shut down user accounts do to illegal activity. The Coinbase ETH wallet doesn’t support ETC (Ethereum Classic).

2. ETHAdress – The cold storage option. For those of you who wish to store Ethereum offline you can print out an Ethereum Paper wallet. ETHAdress is an open source project that will create Ethereum paper wallets for you. Similar to bitaddress.org, the site will create a private and public key pair with the click of a button. You can then print out this information and store it in a safe place so no external hacker will be able to get your coins. One more option that’s available is to encrypt your private key so that if you or anyone else wants to use the coins they will need to know the password to decrypt it.

3. MyEtherWallet – A web interface for Ethereum MyEtherWallet is a website that allows you to create, send and receive Ethereum without it having any control over your private keys. When you first enter the site you can choose if you want to generate a wallet, send Ethereum or a variety of other options.

If you generate a wallet the site will create a public-private key pair which will be protected by a password of your choosing. You will then get a downloadable file with that key pair for future use. Whenever you will want to send Ethereum from this file you will need to upload it to the site and supply the password.

Sending can be done via the website itself or through other wallets such as TREZOR or Ledger. The site’s code is open source and it only works with ETH.

Myetherwallet is good, but recently it got a bad news hacked by hackers.
The safest wallet is hardware wallet such as ledger

Myetherwallet is easy to use and safe, because you do not transfer your coins to a third-party service - it only helps to access the ETH that is stored on your hard drive

If you travel a lot then the best way to keep your BTC and ETH secure is by putting it in a hardware wallet,
You could choose Nano ledger or Trezor it is the best hard ware wallet.

When choosing a wallet, it is worth considering the level of security and ease of use. There is a conditional classification of wallets for crypto currency, a single or multi-currency, desktop, mobile, online or paper, hot or cold wallet.

Hi there,

i'm quite unsure about where to save my btc and eth. personally as i travel a lot i will have difficulties using a hardware-wallet, so i was thinking of a kind of mobile version. is there anything you could recommend?

You may use coinbase as your mobile version wallet.
if you want a safer wallet other than hardwallet, you can use client wallet. But you need to download the blockchain database.

My friends also recommended me that before and once i tried, so far it was good and i have some good experiences about it. I think also maybe depending to your current location and which wallet you would use, because as far as i know there are also certain countries that has their own local wallet and has good features with it, so maybe you can just check online or ask some veterans or users in your place so you can have survey what's best for you i guess.

There are a number of wallets that can be used to store cryptocurrencies. The best and the safest method would be to store on a hardware device like a Ledger Nano.
Other safest wallets include Exodus wallet which is also pretty much safe. To store ERC20 tokens you can use Myetherwallet which is very much easy to use.

I'm not sure if they already have both BTC and ETH coins in one application for a mobile app but for sure I know there are wallets available for both separately. I myself is using https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet (https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet) for both mobile and pc version of wallet just in case anything happens with my phone I can restore it to my pc or laptop. There are many different versions and websites that you can store your coins but for sure there will be mobile versions of it. The only recommendation that I can give is that before you choose what application you are going to use in your mobile app make sure they are legit and always check for reviews. Good luck  ;)

It is easy to use and is convenient to convert fiat to btc or vice versa. coins.ph is available in other places outside ph.

I have a Ledger Nano S, it's nice. But, it's a pain if you buy more than a couple of other cryptos or if you need access to your funds often and easily. It's the most secure, though. Good for using as a "bank" of sorts.

I keep a little money in Coinomi on my phone for spending.

First careful which one you will choose.
A lot of ppl are using Ledger, ether(I'm using). Is good to choose a secure wallet to prevent the hack.

I think Bitcoin Core forces you to download the entire Blockchain (every transaction that is broadcast to the network). Although Electrum does not do the same thing, it's still safe as it allows you to encrypt and manage your own private key.
What do you find difficult in using your hardware wallet? In my opinion, they are designed to be easy to use and so it is. For Android, Samourai Wallet is the best choice for now. It supports SegWit and TOR routing so it will be cheaper to send transactions. Electrum and Bitcoin Core are pretty good PC wallets.

Electrum wallet has my vote, it allows you to set a custom fee, which many wallets don't allow, and also allows payment batching which is very handy when you need to send a dozen or so transactions at once. For ethereum I would recommend Jaxx, also has some great features not present elsewhere, or of course the ledger wallet if you've got the cash.

I recommend Trust for saving your Ether and other erc20 tokens.
I recommend Blockchain Wallet for Bitcoin and Ethereum as well. It's best to use two wallets for safety sake and not keep all your funds in one wallet. Coinomi is a good wallet too for holding both bitcoin and ethereum

One of the best is ledger nano. But if you want something easier, I would recommend MEW. It's really convenient and stable wallet
I agree, wallet hardware is the most appropriate choice. Although it costs extra, it is worth the security we get. Using wallet hardware can provide extra security against the assets we have from hacking.

Blockchain.info’s wallet system features an easy to understand interface, two-factor authentication, and various other security options. It comes with built in ShapeShift trading for easy conversion of bitcoin, Ether and Bitcoin Cash. Unlike some of the alternatives, it doesn’t require identification, though it’s encouraged to ease account recovery if necessary.

Very important to do good and deep research before choosing a wallet. There are some that just want your money and others that have weak security, so take some time and read up and be sure before you choose your wallet.

One of the best wallets is Myetherwallet for holding your ERC-20 based coins. In fact, it has a pretty easy interface. You will learn it with a few tour. I don't recommend mobile wallets when it comes to ERC-20 tokens because most of the ICOs prefer MEW since it holds a variety of tokens.

Hi there,

i'm quite unsure about where to save my btc and eth. personally as i travel a lot i will have difficulties using a hardware-wallet, so i was thinking of a kind of mobile version. is there anything you could recommend?

I want to share to you my strategy in managing my coins. 30% of my coins are in the exchange site wallets for faster transaction whenever I want to buy or sell coins. 40% are stored in their own provider wallets and the remaining 30% are on some mobile and desktop wallet like coinomi, jaxx and exodus. This coming January, I'm planning to buy hard wallet which s the Ledger Nano for a tighter security of my coin. Just want to share this, I don't know if it will be effective for you but you can try. :)

that is a great option

I personally prefer MEW wallet! MyEtherWallet is easy to use, can be set up just within minutes. The Gas required for transactions are also quite considerable as well as we have the advantage to increase the gas limitation for faster transaction. It also have multiple options to store your secure file so that no one can have access to it until and unless the word privacy isn't a factor for you hihi

It was my first wallet to set up but the only problem is it only supports ERC20 , still one of the best wallet used to far. Didn't face any issues with MEW yet.

For beginners.. The best wallets i did suggest are
Blockchain wallets for bitcoin, ethereum and now they have bitcash (more safer)

imtoken for ethereum and anything/ coin concerning eth exchange (best ERC20 Wallet ive used)

Coinbase (exchange wallet) do not use to save coin.. Just for transactions

For long term investment. Use Trezor or Nano... The best hardware wallets that can give you confidence

Right! better use Metamask it allows you store hundreds of different ERC20 tokens (those built on the Ethereum network) but when you want bitcoin, no sorry it cannot be used to store Bitcoin. And its easy to use, once you have your metamask wallet you can send the desired amount of ETH from Coinbase to your MetaMask wallet address like for instance, that's how its done. I have here a good article to guide you how to do that https://medium.com/faast/3-steps-to-building-a-strong-cryptocurrency-portfolio-youre-already-33-done-7b84eb23afd0 this might help everyone.

Before I can say that blockchain.info is very good. But today with the current changes. You can't backup your wallet anymore nor you can view your private key. They have complete control of your wallet. Do not use blockchain.info as your main storage. Only you use it for your day to day expenses.

This is another hardware wallet by the same company who has made the Ledger Nano S. This one is more advanced than the previous one. It is not only bigger in size but has a lot of new options which we have never seen in any other cryptocurrency wallet yet. Due to its stylish look, advance feature and specification, this is one of the most expensive hardware wallets available in the market. But it is totally worth because you are not just getting a wallet to secure your digital currencies but complete personal security devices which also features the touchscreen, Bluetooth, and USD connectivity.

Coinpayments is a web-based digital currency wallet. It becomes popular when they allowed more than 900 cryptocurrencies to be stored in their online wallet account. It is free and there has no charges on the registration. The website only cut the transaction fee when you transfer your digital currency from one place to another place through their wallet account. The best thing which makes me use Coinpayments is their visibility. It is one of those online wallets whose payment has been now accepted by hundreds of online stores. This means that you can simply use your digital currency from your Coinpayments wallet account to purchase online things other than just use it for the trading purpose.

Do not listen to anyone. Download the usual wallets on your computer and save them there. You can just buy the cheapest hard drive and store all the coins in a safe place.

Here’s a useful article about the best wallets you can use whether for desktop, mobile, etc… I personally like cold storage. We can never be too sure, right?

For large amounts of crypto, I'd recommend a hard wallet like Trezor or KeepKey.  For smaller amounts that you actually use for paying for stuff, there are lots of good mobile wallets out there.  I like the BitPay wallet.

I have used myetherwallet and coinbase. Myetherwallet is common wallet and that are best for eth. I think coinbase is more secure. So i recommend coinbase.

There have been a lot of developers providing cellular versions of wallets to store BTC and ETH. You can use a wallet from CoinBase or a wallet from Bitcoin.com. But, a mobile wallet which is very popular to use in my country is a 'Dompet Bitcoin' from indodax.com you can also try the wallet.

Hi there,

i'm quite unsure about where to save my btc and eth. personally as i travel a lot i will have difficulties using a hardware-wallet, so i was thinking of a kind of mobile version. is there anything you could recommend?
TREZOR Wallet It's a safe, easy to use and easy to use registry and a USB connection and a computer. You can buy it from the Amazon site.
yes, trezor is a good wallet. also, it has my favourite Changenow as a build-in exchange service, that's why I'm using it

Use an offline wallet like trezor or nano ledger ,
It is the safest wallet that you could use,
I don't trust the online wallet since it could be hacked.
