It seems BTC is going to crash again. When compare the btc charts in the last several years, it is common to crash in late Dec and January. Is that happening again? According to the price action, btc dump possible at this time. Keep watch btc.

I think the bitcoin will not crash again because of lot off development happening at bitcoin and day by day getting new high value, so there is no way to crash again.

Sooner or later it could happen, just look the recent Bitcoin prices surge it's blazingly fast and so high. We know everything that goes up must come down at some point. Many people expected Bitcoin will have a large pullback but no one knows when it will happen.

History doesn't always reflect future so no I don't think pattern will be repeated this year too, price has already corrected after huge rally upto $20k so its actually buy time and wait for next surge to make quick and quite risk free profit.

I am actually buying rather than selling at current point.

Really hard to tell from looking at a graph, you need to evaluate the market yourself if you are going to speculate it. However cryptocurrency acts fairly irrationally so the best you can do is use risk management.

Even I noticed the same. I believe it is due to the festive season that plays the background role here. People usually tend to buy gifts and goodies during this time of the year and those don't have liquid cash in hand, prefers to cash out some of their holdings.

However, the chart also suggests that the price rebounds once the festive season is over. Around middle of the January. So those who have extra cash in hand, it is a good time to buy in.

After the surge of Bitcoin these last 2 months of the year, It's not unthinkable that we'll have a huge price correction soon. Whales have one objective and that's to make as much money in the shortest possible time. They will cash out very soon and this dump will cause a price increase to 11K or maybe even lower. Then they'll start buying again, causing another price increase to 30K next year March.

Of course the big investors who are starting to invest their money in bitcoin would never be willing to let it fall so easily. They will always be willing to put their money in order to make bitcoin their favorite money maker. Unfortunately this is already happening right now and that is why bitcoin has gradually become a pump and dump business.

I dont think Bitcoin is going to crash again ,after problem of china we waited big crash will be long time but it dış not and Bitcoin price has risen so fast and the price was 20 000 dollars almost , i think it will like before and the price will rise fast again  in 2018.

What indicates to you that it is going to crash again? In fact I'm observing the opposite with the recovery getting going, bitcoin found ground around 13k and has been slowly creeping up since then. I wouldn't read too much in to seasonal dumps as bitcoin is still fairly new and there probably are many other reasons behind it. To read such things you would need to observe it over many years.

The fact that bitkoyn last December, early January, dropped in price, does not mean that this year it will repeat its actions and will again fall. Moreover, bitkoyn generally can not be predicted. Apparently, bitkoyn already retraced its price adjustment and its fall by almost 40 percent was still unprecedented. Recently, he shows his volatility and just swims, then rising, then sinking in price. So yesterday and the day before yesterday it rose in price by about a thousand dollars every day and if yesterday it was about 16,700 dollars, today it dropped to 15,502 dollars. People have been calling for a price correction for a few months now. But it hasn't come yet. It's jumped up more and fell down a little again. But it's holding steady at it's current price. Of course that could change in a few minutes in the crypto world and is hard to predict. But after all of the fork hype and ICOs then it could be going into a crash soon.

We can never ignored any possibilities that it will happen again just like before. But, we can't say that bitcoin will dump deeper because the trend of bitcoin price now is totally different compared in then past years. And as we look out the acceleration percentage today is very far from previous years with the same month. Rise and fall are normally happen in the market and we can't certainly escaped it from happening.

This is actually a possibility. It reached a remarkable rate of more or less $19,000 before it crashed during the Christmas season. As we are approaching the new year, we are currently experiencing a gradual rise which is a sign of relief to many as it is proven that Bitcoin is not a bubble. However as we near another big event which is the new year, it will most likely that Bitcoin will crash as the demand for it may be high. History does repeat itself, but do keep in mind that bitcoin does not follow the traditional market laws. The price might do down in late december and january as there are people who would like to get out of bitcoin and sell away their coins to cash out their profit. But I guess the price has already crashed and we can see some stability. The prices then tends to go higher after few weeks of stability.

A correction is possible but a crash at this point is highly unlikely. There is enough confidence in the market to assume that we won't dip below 11-12k and if we do it won't be longer than a few days. I feel confident that we have seen the last of bitcoin crashing but there will always be corrections.

Even when the bitcoin is moving towards a low price due to crash never lose hope, be a till date none knew whether it's  a price correction or a crash or just the fluctuations. Whatever might be, the price once again grows forward in a short, so having patience will benefit.

Probably you are right. Those investors who are just waiting for a fall happen will not let bitcoin to fall too deep with their buyings. I don't believe 10000$ will really happen, too deep for today's bitcoin.

The excitement this year is enough to make my eyes wide with the magic of the price ,you think bitcoin last year in December did not assess what happened this year that caused madness in all markets ,I dont think there will be a decline that was destroyed in December this month and beginning of 2018

We cannot compare what happend in the past years for what is happening right now, last year was completely differnet to this year, bitcoin didn't get as much development as it got this year, and the price was not as high as it is right now so there was not many people who invested in it this year, this year we had the btc cash hard fork which lead to the price going up and after it there was some hype for the segwit fork so people were stacking up on it until it  was canceld which lead to price drop, but with it going to take place after all the price is starting to go up again, so unless this fork turns out to be a total failure, the price will skyrocket.

Yes, this is really happens yearly. Bitcoin crashes down every december. This is because of the profit withdrawal period so they can use the money for the holiday season.

Bitcoin should continue to reach new highs but there will be corrections along the way. There could even be a crash in the price as some point but every time the price of Bitcoin has crashed in the past, the highs are higher and the lows are higher than previously. The price has always recovered after crashes or corrections and reaches new highs. Through all the price volatility and fluctuations, I think the price will rise over time.

Bitcoin is volatile and it can go up and go down anytime the market would do. There are too many posts out there that when bitcoin is falling there are posts like this, it's obvious that bitcoin is having some correction but no way it would crash.

I have noticed that last year too bitcoin was on the same phase.

Just cause it's happened before doesn't mean it's going to again. We have hit new seas this year and the price has not ever been anywhere near the amount it is today any other year. Even experts aren't sure what is going on and how it will affect Bitcoin in the long run.

I am definitely with you op. I keep in mind that whenever there is a big urge there will be a correction. Always see this event as healthy. I do not believe such pattern to happen again. I see this statements as FUD causing more people to panic. I hodl every coin that I have and wanted to have more to save. I avoided selling my since the big drop happened. It's time to buy before another urge come.
Hopefully, bitcoin core and devs can give us more reason to trust bitcoin.

This theory wont work always same thing was said when bitcoin was low and everyone told that when it will reach 10k price their will be high correction but instead it went above 18k price and today you can see how much increase of price is their. So i think we will see 20k + price before this 2017 ends and that will be a good time to take profit and reenter in low.

I know some of us are getting worried about correction happening, because it always give a huge impact to bitcoin price and mostly it will  make bitcoin dumping. Not likely. 14-15k are looking like the floor, post week btc has been stable here and the correction has ended the minor rise are drops are the normal fluctuations. Double correction is never happening, people are going to take this opportunity to buy not sell.

It might just do that but the inflow of the bitcoin seems very huge this year end. By inflow I really mean the money that is being stalked on it. Whatever fall we saw since start of this week is all because of correction, hard fork phobia and Christmas stuff. People needed money, they took it out and it ultimately changed the market reach of the bitcoin.

Don't forget same people or big/small investors will get back to bitcoin at the start of january and thus bitcoin market will increase very fast getting us exclusive prices per bitcoin. So I don't think it will fall in the January but rather will increase exponential way.

I do not think it will gonna happen.  Maybe, in the previous years you are pertaining, it happens because during those years bitcoin is not so popular but nowadays, bitcoin is known worldwide.  Bitcoin community continually grows so, bitcoin will not gonna crash as what you think.  Plus, considering the fact that even bitcoin crash on the previous year, bitcoin still exist until today.  Meaning, even bitcoin value decreases, the potential to increase again its value is still possible.

BTC has crashed almost 30-40 % around 7 times in 2017..And when even it crashed (as ppl say ) it has done its ATH...so its a common scenario

It's normal case regarding Bitcoin price, I think this is the system of accumulating Bitcoin in a certain number of people. It's a trap...
when the price of Bitcoin gets low then small investors become afraid of the future then they go to sell all of their stock in the meantime big investors try to take the chance to grab that selling Bitcoin. in this way, Bitcoin stock is getting syndicated by some people.
I don't think that Bitcoin will crash again, this is the chance for someone entering in this system and getting out for someone from this platform.

The possibility is there but of course we do not want to happen it again, we want to increase its value to increase our income also because all our profit is based on how much is current value of bitcoin.
Today is the segwit2x fork hoping that it would same result for previous fork that value of bitcoin constantly increasing.

I also think so. We all know that, bitcoin’s market is volatile, it’s really normal that btc is going to crash. No one can predict accurately whether bitcoin’s price will go down or up. Especially, we actually shouldn’t compare with its past because btc’s price fluctuates completedly different in every month, sometimes it’s seem stable, but sometimes it goes up or falls immediately. No mater how it will, I always believe that bitcoin’s price will go up against.

It has been stabilized at $14,000 and I'm still waiting for it's increase at $19,000.

And while I'm waiting I did some good deals for buying it while it's cheap like I used to see it before.

I think Bitcoin is going to $50,000 before it will crash. It doesn't make sense to go to $100,000 at this moment. It is too early. People still need to accept it. I think it goes to $50,000 and crashes.

It is not really a crash and it didn't last for long, as you can see the Bitcoin is recovering and the price is rising again.

If some one invested in Bitcoin in January this year, he will have nothing to lose when he sells at 10x more in December.

As you said it is common to crash,  so 100% bitcoin will possibly crash again and again but not to the point that its crash is the beginning of its fall down, why if bitcoin will crash the more investors will attract to buy it and the investors will come the more it will stand and dominate in the market.

In some cases Bitcoins price may be lower than yesterday price but this will not crash bitcoins, because bitcoins is getting and getting popular right now and so on and because of this popularity it affects the prices of the bitcoins. It will increase its value sooner like it did last months I guess.

It's common for bitcoin price increasing or decreasing. I see bitcoin prices are still stable at previous prices. Moreover I believe the bitcoin price in 2018 will be higher than in previous years. Because more and more people want to invest in bitcoin.

For me crash would mean deep price fall, under 10000$ and I don't think this would happen.
Corrections in price will always happening because of volatility that is bitcoin nature but I don't think the huge crash is going to happen like some are predicting. Hope for the best for bitcoin.

I do not think bitcoin will decrease in price in January Because we can see from now on enthusiasts have more and more and in a very short time It would be crowded again investors who conduct transactions in order to reap an income.So that the exchange rate will change drastically later.

Nobody can really know for sure unless you're a BTC whale and you plan on dumping. Based on the past up to now, bitcoin has risen beyond our expectations. But in between them, there were the ups and the downs. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the same as before then BTC came back up stronger.

Bitcoins supply is limited in number. So when such a high demand faces such limited supply, obviously price and volatility increases. Bitcoin price will come down but will not crash. Such corrections are expected in any currency. Bitcoin has travelled from $7000 to $19000 in just 20+ days. Now bitcoin investors are accumulating their profits. Once this process will get over the same investors starts buying again.

There are no signs of a near crash for bitcoin. Many people said that's the beginning of the end for bitcoin when it dropped 2k last weak. I don't see how it's crashing when the price is stable around 13.500 $ while other currencies are struggling to surpass 1$!

As per Bitcoin's market value history, it is being observed to go down between December to January, and we all know the fact that it is holiday season, were people spend a lot of things for gifts, foods, and anything related or needed for Christmas and New Years eve celebration. It is widely possible that Bitcoin holders probably dumped their coins by converting it to cash or being used as payment for the thing they bought online. We could also consider that those dumped coins are gains from their whole year holding. After all, even there is a down slide happening to its market price, it's not really that gradual and gives us the opportunity to replenish coins which is a good start for next year investment plan.

Its simple, big investor sell very much bitcoin to fiat and consider to celebrate new year with no trading. Then newbie going to do panic sell and then price crash.

I don not think another crash will occur this 2018. The price won't go so much low to the point that bitcoins are no longer profitable anymore. I guess a price crash is in effect but the whole system of bitcoins crashing is very unlikely to happen this 2018. This is just a gut feeling. I don't really have supporting evidences behind my claims.

I don't think so it will crash again. Because demand is increasing day by day and lots of new people is coming and have interest/trust in btc. We can not underestimate bitcoin because it can bounce back any time. It would not give you time to buy even you couldn't decide that time my advice is to have faith in bitcoin. This is a very silly point and I don't think you understand how the crypto world works buddy. There is always a chance that bitcoin can crash, but I don't think this will happen anytime in the near future. My prediction is that bitcoin will continue to rise back up in the short term and will reach 25k by the middle of 2018 and then a big crash will happen where it will fall back down to 15k.

I don't think that bitcoin will rally like crazy like in 2017, but it will rally in a slow and steady manner until it reaches 40k by the end of this year. I have invested a good amount of my funds into bitcoin currently and I am expecting great results in the long term.

Yes. That is true. Looking at the history of the bitcoin prices, there has alwas been a great correction on these times. But i think the correction for this episode is almost done. And anyone investing early doesn't have sht to worry about since they still have good profits. I am seeing late January as a step for a higher price for btc. but we just have to waot and see.

I am sure that depreciation of bitcoin is a temporary phenomenon. At the end of January he will return on higher positions. I don't exclude an opportunity that will surprise us.

Bitcoin has gone too far to crash again, and let me even ask you this question has bitcoin crash before since it inception because what you term crash may be temporary drop in price which has the possibility of rising again as we have seen in the past. When you say crash it means the total drop in price to zero level and never rise again but in the case of bitcoin the price may fall but not to zero level and forks will always give you that wrong impression that bitcoin will crash but that is just speculation that will never come to any effect even in years to come. Bitcoin has survive that situation again we have cross that negative period again now is January and we will see price boom again very soon.
