Hm.... It's possible it is working, just that nicehash is using too high a difficulty. Can you try slushpool or something else?

The hardware you are trying to use is so old and slow that its not even worth running. Do pools even allow connections this slow to waste their bandwidth?

Should work, just needs to adjust the share difficulty down. Here I'll dig out one and try it....

Edit: Yup. Slow, but it's accepting shares on slush....

Even more amazing, I found my old Super-Jally. I put a total of 8 chips on a jalapeno, added heat sinks and water cooling out the wazoo and was running at 30gh in the day.....
