Luckily you will not need to go to local stores to buy Bitcoins. So you are also able to go via Proxy to Europe or Mexico to buy and trade there. You will only get Problems if the government chooses to censore the addresses with geofencing so you don´t have it easy to reach the trading pages. But i´m sure that is not coming. I believe they are more into regulation and recieving taxes for the trades. Seems to me more realistic. That won't be a problem as people of that country would still be able to buy bitcoin and trade it for other cryptocurrencies.
Banning the entire trade of bitcoins would mean to shut down the internet which is totally impossible. If "ALL COUNTRIES" ban bitcoin then bitcoin won't exist openly apart from darknet. You can take an example of cocaine here. It is banned globally but still being used by certain groups. Not openly but pretty much underground. The same thing will happen to bitcoin as well. However, a lot of countries are now debating on the entire crypto scenario and they are yet to come up with a concrete announcement. Even though some countries banned bitcoin, but we also have Japan who legalised it. So we still have hope. I am glad that our government did not ban bitcoin but instead advise the people to always be skeptic and do due diligence when investing. Our government is currently planning to regulate it but already granted some licenses to local platforms so we can freely spend our coins. I hope though that they will add other coins aside from bitcoin in cashing in and out because transaction fee is just too expensive and for those who are willing to try it but still doubtful just want to try a small amount but then they back out when they see the fee. If ever though that bitcoin will be ban in our country, I will just stop maybe using it because I don't want to violate the law. If ever Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency gets banned worldwide and is treated as illegal then that's it, Bitcoin is illegal. Bitcoin users could file petitions to their government if applicable. People can exercise their rights about this matter. However, Bitcoin will stay illegal unless revoked by the government. Bitcoin users could still use Bitcoin but illegally. You have very good point that we as bitcoin users have a chance to send a petition to the government. we also can do conducive demonstration with some nice argumentations and huge mass. |
