Title: Local rule?
Post by: JanEmil on January 07, 2018, 08:57:52 AM
The profil aTriz is giving negativ trust for something he call local rule:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=135920

Then the trust system is shit if that is OK.

Fair?

1)   You left him retaliatory feedback - if you are complaining about feedback, that makes you a hypocrite.

2)   His feedback is untrusted - it will not appear to anyone else by default.

Unfortunately. Is affected by fury.

>2)   His feedback is untrusted - it will not appear to anyone else by default.

untrusted. What does it mean?

It means it doesn't show up by default on your trust page. It requires enabling in the settings, or clicking a drop down menu to see the feedback. There's even a warning above untrusted feedback "These ratings are from people who are not in your trust network. They may be totally inaccurate."

Thank you.

But I was planning to make a Good profil. Then He just broke it for notting.

If I Use the profil for years will my trust network not get bigger and then show?

It won't show unless the person that leaves you feedback becomes part of the DefaultTrust. That requires them to be included in trust lists by the existing DefaultTrust. The only way your going to get it removed is by talking to the user who left it, maybe you can sort it out between yourselves. Unfortunately, there's no reference in the feedback either so not a lot of people are going to take notice of the feedback without any context.

OK.
I can see the high rank people promote him. Don't think this site is worth the work then.
Fun half ½ year. See you.

I didn't know what a local rule is, so I looked at the trust entries. It seems the accused has his own rule  that he will only deal with full members and above. You may not agree with that, but we have the right to deal with whomsoever we choose, and that rule may help him to cut down on PM spam. It seems the OP ignored this restriction, and contacted the accused anyway.

I think the lesson here is that we should respect the wishes of other members when it comes to trade.

From my point of view the lesson is not to accuse people who are honest. Then the system has no value.
So, it's just who has the most fake profiles and shouts the highest.

For a good example of how much butthurt fake retaliatory feedback people can leave on others without any means of making petitions to check them - take a look at my Untrusted feedback once. Also you can always check the Untrusted feedback on Lauda for even more baseless accusations.

In my opinion if someone breaks my local rules - I would blacklist that person. My advice would be to swallow this for now and ask aTriz for a review later on and I am sure he might modify it. What you should have done was ask him politely and said "Sorry" - many times people have so much ego that they forget about this but it is one of the best methods to make things better.

For now it does not matter - because aTriz is not DT1 or DT2.

Much better to know the rule first before you do an action. sometime you think you are right but in the rules your wrong. and Local rule help you to know what to do and you will not do.

If a 3 day old user with 14 post already knows about rules and users I don't think he is first user. Maybe user number 3-4 ;-)

I did not know what user I was at that time. I just know I did not scam because I don't.

Yeah... because one person has the time to post thousands of replies over hundreds of thousands of accounts.

Butthurt users always have the same kind of accusations. The number of times that The Pharmacist, aTriz and I have been accused of being alts of other users (and of one another) is just ridiculous.
